I'm using mibox to watch Netflix and YouTube. I have my mibox for about 4 years and everything was ok until tommorow. Netflix after run freezed for few seconds and showed error UI-800-3 (307006). "More information" shows error UI-113. I checked my network connection, but its was ok.
Steps I performed:
1. Restart router
2. Restart mibox
3. Logoff Netflix
4. Wipe Netflix app
5. Turn off mibox and tv for whole night
6. Chenge HDMI wire and plug on other HDMI socket on TV
7. Connect mibox to other wifi
8. Factory reset my router
9. Install older versions of AndroidTV Netflix
10. Factory reset mibox
11. Install Add-on on Kodi (I logged in but no video playing.)
12. Cast video from Netflix app on smartphone to mibox.
My account is ok, Netflix works on PC on browser, Netflix app on my Android Redmi Note 7 is working.
I dont know what to do. I know my device is certified, it has Netflix preinstalled.
Does anybody know a solution?
Edit: I have android 6.0.1

I ran into the same issue today. I'm not sure when it started as I didn't use my device for the past 2 days. But anyway I followed all the guides online and ended up doing 2 factory reset which didn't fix the issue. I was still on Android 8.0 though because I wanted to keep TrueHD passthrough so after the 2nd factory reset I allowed the 9.0 upgrade to go through and now Netflix is working again. Bummer!
Experiencing this exact issue as of 2 days. Have no idea how to fix this
i have the same problem i am on android 9 but not the latest update
UPDATE:I have updated the mi box and its working i think it has to do with drm keys been updated
I read many bad opinions about updating this Mi Box to higher versions of Android. I was avoiding to update as hard as I can.
Are there any problems with version 9.0? I heard about lagging, slowing down, apps crashing...
Which functions I will lost updating from 6.0.1 to 9.0? I know it is one way procedure, it cant be undone..
Also had this problem. I've updated to the latest firmware and Netflix works again.

I'm not sure about what you lose from 6.0.1, but I know from 8.0 to 9.0 you lose HD audio passthrough. Atmos with DD 5.1 still works but you can no longer pass 7.1 Atmos, True HD, and DTS X. If you don't care for those then it's not a big deal to upgrade
Those who don't want to upgrade can send ESN and I can integrate it in a modded Netflix apk which will play Netflix in full HD.
Is it safe to share ESN number?
Yes, you can cut it after the 5-figure number.

I sent you ESN via private message.
I see. I will send you the apk with the ESN number added in the evening.
Here is the Netflix apk which should work on Mibox.
The apk doesn't contain the full ESN, just the part which is the same for all Miboxes:
com.netflix.ninja_8.1.2_build_3844_mod_XIAOMIMIBOX3_fullHD
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

Does it work on ANY Mibox 3?
I ask because I have the same device (MDZ 16 AB), and the same problem - my Netflix stopped working on 10/12, a week ago.
When I saw this topic it was like the "light at the end of the tunnel", as I also don't want to update the box (mine is ATV 8.0 Oreo) and yet wish to have Netflix back. So I didnt think twice when I saw the modded apk file, so immediately went try to install it on the box.
Unfortunately, installation failed! I tried using Root Explorer app, as I always do when installing apks on mibox. But no success there. There is a message that says someting like "could not match the previous installed version." Reminding that Netflix app is a "system native" one, that is impossible to uninstall, just deactivate. Maybe it has something to do with this.
PLease, let me know a solution for this. I was so close that giving up now is not an option!
It should work on any Mibox if you manage to install it. I don't have the Mibox myself. I just modified the apk with the ESN number. Try this from another user:
1. delete app data
2. force stop app
3. Uninstall
4. Restart device
5. install moded apk
My mibox is running on Android 6.0.1 and Netflix was preinstalled but not system app, I was able to uninstall it.
Maybe it is possible to uninstall Netflix via ADB?
Thanks for the feedback.
I'm realizing that the holdback is my Netflix being a system app, impossible to remove it completely. I've already wiped off everything I could from it - app data, unnistall updates... basically it is back to factory version. That is the best I can do.
Previously, I was able to install other Netflix versions via Aptoide TV (none worked, of course), through the "update" option, much like the Play Store way. So maybe the matter is the modded apk's way of installation.

Well, if it helps to clarify the issue, this is exactly the error message after trying to install the modded apk. It says:
"INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE Package com.netflix.ninja signature do not match the previously installed version_ignoring!
So, would anyone know of any more ways to erase a system app on Android TV? I can't believe we are on the threshold of 2022 and there is still no way to get rid of these bloatwares quickly and easily!
Or else, any indication of a nice and clean tutorial for removing app via ADB, specific for mibox 3, would be of great help!
Happens also in my mibox 3.
How come lots of people are having this issue these days.
Seems like they are having some kind of expiration date bug.

I am still a green beginner when it comes to making a custom firmware but I basically only do it for my personal needs and offer the result for everyone.
However, there is one thing really nagging me ith the X96 and that is to get updated GAPPS to work properly and with all Google apps.
The basics like Playstore, Framework and Play Services and managed to get going but only by disabling some "features" in the firmware and with the box showing up as uncertified.
Real problem is to get the TV GAPPS working at all.
No matter how I spoof the build.prop, disable services and manully add permissions, the TV Gapps claim be on an unsupported device and demand dowgrade / removal of updates.
For a chinese phone I would simply flash an internation rom and be done with it but not so much on a chinese TV box
What I tried so far for the TV GAPPS:
Using custom roms claiming to work for several boxes including the X96.
Here the rom either fails to boot unless I modify it or if it boots then nothing, and I mean nothing all works.
Funny enough that some user of a X96 say they have no problem with the same rom...
Next was to clean the original firmware from all Google related apps, services, scripts and libraries, then manually installing the TV GAPPS.
For this I always get the error that the device is not compatible.
Even if in the build.prop a Mibox or Nvidia Shield is spoofed together with ro.build.characteristics=tv.
Last but not least the Open GAPPS TV version.
Flashing works just fine and with no errors, on a cleaned and on a standard rom.
After that it is all over.
Setup Wizard crashes, if disabled or removed the other Google apps and services crash, usually starting with the TV Wizard and TV Customisation.
TV Playstore again claims the device is not compatible in the rare case it does start otherwise I get an error that the Play services are missing on the device.
But of course all is installed completely....
What I would love to know is how and where these chinese roms disable the Google compatibility.
Here is what I think I found so far that does not make much sense to me:
The supplied Playstore is signed with different key than anything else on the system partition.
The same version number from APKMIRROR fails to install or work if replaced in the rom.
I tried signing with the Amlogic platform, test and release keys to no avail.
Both by zip aligning before or after the signing.
Other apps I sign with these keys perform just fine.
Just to be able to use the Open GAPPS through TWRP I had to disable a PPoE apk that runs presistent - with that active no open Gapps pack works (claiming device is incompatible or simply crashing).
There are a bunch of additional certificates installed in the ETC folder than when removed or renamed cause the system to fail - I had no time so far to do a one on one check to figure out for what each cert might be used.
When comparing fstabs with other roms it seems the X96 has lot more than what would be required but my understanding of all that is still too limited.
I guess the big question is:
Does anyone know what is causing all these problems in chinese roms and how to fix it without flashing a firmware for different TV box?
Update:
On my X96 I am slowly making progress with the GAPPS.
Found a PPPoE app and service that are set to run persistent.
According to some funny Google translations from chinese websites using persistent services to block genuine Google stuff is one available option.
By disabling the PPPoE persistent stuff and only leaving the normal PPPoE stuff active Ethernet and WiFi still work fine but now the Open Gapps installation actually works.
Well, not fully but at least the Nano package works flawless.
With that it is not problem to install the missing Google apps through the Playstore, including Google TV and Music.
Sync and backup works fine too.
Only downside is that without spoofing the device will be listed as uncertified - but all updates and installs so far went with no problems.
But even the Google NOW and Pixel launchers can be installed and used if someone likes them.
Different story though for the TV Gapps, wether modified or not.
Build.prop mods and fakes, using the latest and older versions of the playservices and framework - they all fail.
I managed a few times to find combinations that at least booted into the leanback launcher and that were usable except for the Google stuff but it was no fun.
No matter how I try to spoof or change the installation the setup wizard never works, which indicates the services fail to work.
In the rare case where I get somewhere I am told that I should unistall all updates as this version of Plastore or services is not compatible.
Will do some more digging on services and apps that should not be there but the chinese really like to disguise things they don't want anyone to see LOL
Hi. I have the same box and installed latest official firmware android 9.
My problem is that is not possible to update the Google play store, stuck on version 13. All other apps are updated by the stor with no problems.
But i cant find a way to updaye the play store.
When i try to update it, always give package error, simple instalation fail.
I have not found a working twrp for it, so no gapps for now.
Do you know of a solution ?
Many boxes from China do not have certification from Google, that's why you cannot run native TV apps on them. If you want these TV apps, buy those boxes labelled with "Google certified", which are of couse more expensive and with inferior hardware--certification needs extra cost, man.
You can try install magisk, whill will tell u Safenet test failed and some CTS failure, that's what I said above.
Hello guys,
this is my first post in the forum, it's good to be a part of it!
So I bought a Lenovo P10 Tab which turned out it can't play Netflix Full HD because it is recognised as L3 Widevine device by Netflix (even though DRM apps show it to be L1).
I tried the APK from this link
https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/how-to/watch-netflix-hd-ultra-hd-poco-f1-t3840727
on my Moto G7 and worked wonders, but can't be installed on my Lenovo Tab P10. Probably because it has a built-in version of Netflix. It tried disabling the built-in version in "Settings --> Apps" but the above APK could not be installed once again.
Any suggestions?
I tried deleting the built-in Netflix APK using "adb uninstaller" and I was hopeful because when I tried to install the XDA APK, it was the first time it didn't ask me if I wanted to install an update on top of the built-in app. The package installer treated it as a fresh installation. Even Netflix on Google Play was only showing nthe ""install" button, not the update button this time. But even then, installation failed once again...
Any ideas?
@Pitsinius
If Netflix is pre-installed as system app and/or system privileged app then your phone must be rooted to delete / update Netflix
Is there no other way?

No. For good reason files located in /system partition of Android are protected. You need superuser/root rights to access them.
Thanks for the reply mate.
THIS IS A T95 H616 DUAL BAND MODEL.
As is obvious by now, this box is known for Google Play issues. My box did come with regular Google Play Store as opposed to the TV version but it down right refuses to update to the latest version and if I try to install via APK I always get 'App not installed'. Since the device does have ROOT out of the box I took the opportunity to make things a bit more useable in that department by installing Magisk, and I have been able to manually update the Play Store to the latest version and it works just fine but I don't want to have to do it this way every time. The box can live with the Play Store being completely uninstalled using this method and I thought I'd try installing from scratch. Nope. It still gives me 'App not installed'. I've even tried manually creating the folders and moving the APK to /data/app/, setting the relevant permissions and ownership but still this was a no-go as when I restarted the device every change I'd made in there had been cleared. What else can I try?
android 10 doesn't let you modify the system partition period. the only ways to modify it are via magisk modules, flashing the whole rom with your mods included or maybe via TWRP (which we don't have).
I've noticed on this box that it doesn't like having it's system apps removed either, others have said the changes won't stick or you'll get a bootloop. freezing system apps does work however, I was able to freeze the ATV YouTube and install Vanced.
on the play store front I've not had too many problems other than paid apps not showing as paid for about 24 hours after a factory reset. I haven't checked what version it was on or whether it was latest, I'll go and look now.

It has actually been pretty bulletproof for me with regards to that. I am able to mount the system partition as R/W and swap out the Play Store APK with the latest version and set all the permissions and everything and it works just fine. It's just not an ideal way of doing things. What would cause this? All other APKs install and update just fine. The paid app thing happens only because the Play Store is out of date. Every BETA I am subscribed to is also stuck on 'Removing you from the beta'.
from the little I've read the makers of these boxes don't intend to do any maintenance or updates on their boxes, next year they'll bring out android 11 boxes that'll stay as they are more or less.
I haven't messed around with the two update apps don't want to start again from scratch. I'm thinking maybe one of them covers the play store.

Update apps? Play Store is supposed to update its self but it can't. Can't update via APK, can't install from scratch via APK, 'App not installed', 'Update failed' etc. There is a serious issue with the FW here and it doesn't affect a single other of my Android 10 devices. If you mean Aptoide and APKPure, they just download and execute APK files. Same results.
was thinking about the Local Update and Wireless update apps in the app draw, they can't both for firmware.
I think this is safe to call a forked version of Android, it's pretty much locked down to the way the want it, maybe they never intended the store to be updated independently of the whole rom.

Oh I see. Wireless update is essentially System Update. I'm not sure about the other. Perhaps it's like the old Backup & Restore thing the old boxes had that you needed to boot in to TWRP. I've only ever re-flashed it via PhoenixSuit and PhoenixCard.

try looking on APK mirror if it's a free app. maybe an older version will get you started. always compare file sizes with files from playstore just to be safe.
1 Download and install Wear OS China Version. https://www.apkmirror.com/?post_type=app_release&searchtype=apk&s=wear+os+china&minapi=false
2 Download and install Wear OS GMS version from the Playstore or where ever.
3 Set up watch on China version, eventually when its almost set up it will tell you to download the GMS version and continue set up there, and your watch will factory reset on its own.
4 Continue with the GMS version, in less than 30 seconds you will be paired and all features will work on your watch.
I am using the Sony SW3.
The only thing that I was unable to do, was get my non Sony watchface to work, "Weather Time for Wear." That is the only watchface that I like.
I had a problem where my phone would ring once and go to voicemail. I uninstalled the GMS version, and afterwards, my watch is still paired, and my calls do not ring once and go to VM.
Does not seem to work on A11.
For A11, I needed to login to Aurora, and MicroG. Once it was working, I logged out.
hey, i tried this but the Wear OS app gets stuck on "getting watch details". Do you have any idea?

Thank you! I was finally able to make it work. Here's how I did it (I did a few times because sometimes it would hang up, but it finally worked):
Install both Global and China WearOS apps
install the "Google" app from the Play Store (you need it for the Global WearOS to work)
Go into System Settings -> Apps -> Wear OS, and click "Force Close" (do it for both China and Global)
Now power on the Watch and keep going until it asks to pair with the phone
DON'T OPEN the WearOS app, but go in Settings -> Bluetooth and pair the Watch from there.
The watch should say something like "Connected succesfully" and a spinning wheel should appear on its screen.
Now, open the GLOBAL WearOS app and do the setup, until it says "getting watch details". The progress bar will load and it will stop almost at the end.
When you see that the setup is stuck, open the CHINESE WearOS app, and do the setup there. It should continue and complete it. Agree to all the permissions it asks for.
Now, close all your recent apps (don't Force Close, just clear the recent apps).
Now, open the GLOBAL WearOS. It should ask for a few more permissions, and it should be done!
DO NOT DELETE THE CHINESE APP! You don't need to use it, you can use global, but if you delete it you will need to re-pair.
Now, if you want to add a Google Account on the Watch, it will not work with microG. However, here's how I managed to do it (while still retaining microG at the end):
Download OpenGapps Micro or Pico ZIP
in Magisk, REMOVE the MicroG module (I'm using MinMicroG MinimalIAP)
reboot into recovery
flash OpenGapps ZIP
reboot into System
open WearOS Global App
add your Google Account to the Watch (and to the phone)
wait for it to copy the account into the Watch
now, reboot into recovery
dirty-flash your vanilla ROM to remove OpenGapps
if you had it previously, flash Magisk again
if you had flashed any other ZIP that modified the System parition, flash it again, since when you flashed the vanilla ROM it removed all System changes (if you flashed via Magisk, then you don't need to flash again)
reboot into System
uninstall the Google Play Services App
reboot again
open Magisk and re-flash microG (I'm using MinMicroG MinimalIAP)
don't worry if some Google apps crash, you just need to reinstall them/clear data and they'll work fine
reboot
Done! Now you have microG on your phone, but your watch has a Google account and is connected to global WearOS, so you have full syncing and functionality!
Remember to go into the microG settings apps and check/enable all permissions, and also Device Registration/Cloud/SafetyNet if you need those features!
Thanks for the write up, for me it was trial and error and getting lucky.
I had to delete the GMS app because my OnePlus 7T would not ring more than once, I am not having any problems using the China app.

Nice! I had an opposite problem: I could not use just the China app because it was saying that the Watch is incompatible. However, if I start the setup from the Global app, then it continues fine in the China one.
I'm glad that we are finally able to use WearOS with microG, although with a not very straightforward setup!
I am using an old Sony Smartwatch 3, so I am on Android 1.5 for the watch.

For adding the account you need GAPPS as the sign in API is not implemented in MicroG. With Magisk you could try to temporary flash the GAPPS and remove them when your account is added.
A13 stock. Magisk 25203. PS Remote Play app 5.5, and hidden in the Magisk deny list, like other apps.
Other typical root detecting apps foiled, but not this one. Hiding the Magisk manager itself didn't help.
Suggestions?
Assuming you're on the stock ROM, else you might need to use MagiskHide Props Config. Try turning on Zygisk and adding Displax's version of USNF and Shamiko (note: Shamiko is a closed-source root hider, so your call if you trust it). Keep in mind that if you use Shamiko, then the "enforce deny list" switch needs to be off. Shamiko reads from the list and handles it instead (so you do still need to have Google Play Services and PS Remote Play in the deny list). So far I haven't had anything detect root with this setup as long as it's in my deny list, though I don't have a PlayStation so I can't test it with this specifically.
I am on A13 stock. I'll look into this. FWIW, one doesn't need a PlayStation to see the app PS Remote App fail the root check, which is upon opening it, resulting in error 88001003

Interesting, it's happening the moment you open the app? I don't have a Playstation account, but I can open the app and get in far enough to see the account login screen with no error. That's on my system with the above utilities installed as well as Magisk and LSposed, running the Android 13 QPR1 beta. If you set all that up and it's still happening, try clearing the PS Remote Play app's data, too.

Yes. It may be using some data from the general PS App to auto-login, but it appears as instantaneous error to me, even after full storage/cache wipe and force close.
I just updated USNF, and installed the MOD version on top of that as you suggested, still no go. Disney+, Nintendo, other apps that check still work. Play Store certified, pass YASNAC.
Haven't tried the Shamiko thing yet
Are you hiding the Magisk app itself?
I'm using Canary manager, btw

I am hiding the Magisk app itself, with the default "Settings" name. Normal release (25.2/25200) of Magisk. Do you have any other root-related apps the PS Remote Play app might be looking for? (Though I myself have Fox's Magisk Module Manager, LP, the TWRP app, and Franco Kernel Manager installed on my phone and they don't seem to be setting it off.)
I'd suggest turning off USB debugging. I had similar issue with some of my banking and other apps and tried every possible solution but didn't work. Finally I read somewhere to turn off USB debugging and Eureka!!
I've narrowed it to something the recent app version 5.5 is doing
Versions 5.0 and earlier have no problems loading.
My USB debugging is/was off.
It must be looking at / for some other app I have installed, which is really annoying to troubleshoot
Hello,
As you said, I downgraded the app to the version 5.0 ans now I can login
But I can't associate the playstation
It ask me to upgrade to the last version and if i refuse, the association failes.
Do you have the same problem ?
Thx

We should also try to determine what exactly latest version is detecting and preventing app from working
