Detect car is moving or stopt - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there possibly an app out there that can preform the simple task of starting an application if the car is moving. Also if the car has stopped or there is no movement, the previously started application automatically stops. I've tried some applications that are based on Bluetooth connection. But unfortunately those don't work for me because I don't have any Bluetooth connections in my car.

As Tasker has a Movement Detection plugin, I'm sure something can be cooked up in that area. Note, though, that the plugin hasn't been updated since 2015 so it may not work on newer systems. You could buy it, try it and refund it if it doesn't do the trick. Or maybe Tasker has this type of detection built in by now. I have no experience with it, just suggesting a plausible direction.
Does your car have AUX? Could also be a solution. Or even Bluetooth to FM.
Spoiler: There's even one with fancy lights!

[Q] Getting an Android phone to communicate with TI calculators

I made a discovery today. The cable which is used for e.g. sending apps between two TI-84 calculators does actually fit in the USB socket of my HTC Hero
When I connect the Hero to the TI-84 the Hero's little LED turns green for a second and the TI-84 actually boots. If I let the Hero be in sleep mode and I press the ON button on the calculator the Hero wakes up
I have found a document which describes parts of the TI-84 USB protocol here.
It would be really awesome to be able to communicate with the TI-84 from Android apps on the phone. I have never programmed an app which uses the USB before, but I know there is an API for doing it.
Can this be achieved in accessory mode or is host mode required? AFAIK the accessory mode requires the accessory (TI-84) to be using a special Android accessory USB protocol to work. Can someone confirm this?
Is any developer interested in this?

[Q] Windows 8/Note 2 Bluetooth connection trouble?

Okay so I know with Bluetooth and can be a LARGE variety of issues going on with connection. But I do not believe it is <Connection> problems that I'm talking about/having issues with.
Anyways, I have a Qualcomm Atheros AR3011 Bluetooth 3.0 dongle in the back of my computer.
When I go to pair my phone to the computer, it works perfectly. (See screenshot below...)

So as you can see, it is paired, and in Device Manager it shows, along with the adapter, and my S160 headset (Which is disconnected.)
Now my problem being is when I go to Devices and Printers in Control Panel, I see my phone (SCH-i650) But all I see are these options when right clicked...
Now I know my adapter supports Music Streaming, AND headset support etc. etc. because it worked back in Windows 7... Is there any way of getting this support back??? And/Or does anyone know perhaps as to why I am not getting the options for listening to phones audio etc...?
And would anyone be willing to help me figure this out/trouble shoot it? I have no idea where to start.
I would also like to know if it's due to my phone or not.
This is kind of like the options that I would like to see:
On another note, I just tried using the "Send file/Receive file" options, which work perfectly fine... So where is the listen to audio and make phone call options?

Android Powered Dash Cam...Need Some Help/Advice/Etc

So, I purchased this neat dash cam/backup cam/GPS Android-powered rear view mirror from eBay and received it today. I've been playing around with it a bit and I'm curious first off, if anyone on XDA happens to have it. I'm curious if anything has been done to it yet.
I have an issue signing into an account with it, Google Account Manager crashes when I try creating a new account and it doesn't connect to the server when I try logging into an existing account. I tried all the normal fixes (clear cache, etc) with no success. I have internet access though because I'm able to use browser and navigation. Also, the speech is super annoying. It's in "English" but it's a super strong Chinese accent and I can't change it or download any other voice options.
If anyone is curious for more information on it, let me know and I'll provide what I can. I want to toy around with it a bit and I'm hoping someone has already done so. I also need to fix the issues I'm having and I'm not sure where to begin. I've been out of the development game since GS3.

Fastboot on Wear24

Could someone try hooking up the charger to their PC when in recovery? I'm wondering if that would connect it to the PC or if you are going to have to go through a more complicated route...I'm thinking through the charger won't work.
To access fastboot you swipe from top left to bottom right in a straight line when booting. Do this when the Wear24 words are on the screen. If it doesn't go into it, then try again. I was able to do it at a store.
Instructions from verizon:
https://es.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-209362/
The charging base does not contain the circuitry for data.
If you take a look at the fcc filing photo, it only has two wires for charging.

Fastboot doesnt work over WiFi, only over USB.
Besides, does Qi even support data?
I think the only way is to crack the watch open, and map the pin points to a male usb cable. Someone on another thread was attempting it.
I will just leave it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...how-to-install-twrp-recovery-achieve-t3781502

Start Android with 2 Apps in Splitscreen

Hey Folks,
I hope you can help me, search function didn't.
I have Android 7 in my car and all I want is to start with Maps and Spotify in Splitscreen. Is there a launcher which can do this, or any other thing i can do? Maybe IFTTT or something similar?
Of course I can start both Apps and activate the Splitscreen manually, but I am wondering if there is any easier solution. I found "Splitscreen launcher" but it is only for vertical splitting and it doesn't work on my Android 7.
AFAIK you can't start split screen mode programmatically
I want to do the same as OP.
Vivid launcher comes close, but they pair google maps with their own music player. I need to use Gaia for offroad navigation instead of google maps. Gaia lets me upload tracks which is very useful when driving a maze of logging roads to a specific destination. Also, the vivid music player puts a popup on every screen, which I don't want.
It would be even better if I could include a few icons (see image).
But ultimately I don't care how I get the result desired, as long as I can return to it with a press of a steering wheel button. On the head unit I have, I can manually do a splitscreen, but it goes away if I go to a different app.
Does anyone run something like this?
Is there a launcher that will do this?
