Hello i need custom rom's for my device, i was installed (1.+[v8]+Aidan's+ROM+[s905x2]+(u211+&+u214)+(H96Max_X2)+FB-Cruz+Enrique+García (1) on my device SDOTT0202 / DV8519. Wifi scan available networks, but can't connect, also chromecast built in not working. This is info for my device.

Pics in attach.
I think you can make the img file using the same amlogic kitchen. It's called something like dump2img but I'm not sure it will boot because the firmware is Google certified

I tried the Aidans ROM V8 firmware, works great, but no wifi and bt.
You need to find a ROM with working WiFi or make a TWRP backup of vendor partition of the original firmware and post it here.

Is there something in particular that you didn't like about the stock firmware?
If the eon tv app auto launching was bothering you, the sdmc app(s) that force this can be disabled, which turns the device into stock android tv. Or, perhaps you couldn't get past the code screen at first bootup?

One ott provider in my country using basically the same sdmc box but with a different WiFi chip does a nasty thing when your contract expires. If you reset the box after the contract expiration, the box is completely useless. When it boots, you are left with an info screen with the serial number of the box and a number to call. And you can't get past it.
Hello! I have SDOTT0202 device and I did something stipid - I did a factory reset.
Now, each time when I turn on the device - it tries to setup EON and I can't exit from EON Activation Screen and I can't use my device.
How could I restart it in recovery mode? I tryed with simultaneosly pressing power button and volum down button and while keep pressing them - turn on the electricity, but this doesn't work for me
Please help me to bypass this screen and to use my device for another applications.

The wifi+bt combo module in the eon version (as pictured above in post #8) is the ap6398s, which uses the broadcom bcm4359.
I have original firmware for a bunch of dv8519 and dv8535 devices, but I wouldn't suggest anyone flash any of them before verifying that the device tree and bootloader match. In order to do this, you'd have to dump at least the bootloader and the device tree blob from your device before you overwrite it with anything else.
There are at least 2 slightly different versions of the EON box.
The one from Serbia has AP6356 but the one from Bulgaria has a different one.
Slimbox works fine with wifi on the Serbian version but not on the Bulgarian one.
I asked a user from Bulgaria to open his box and check the wifi module but there was no follow-up from him.
I have original fw dump from the Serbian version.

Specifically, which device do you have and which wi-fi module does it have?
If you haven't overwritten the original firmware on the device yet, make a backup first using the AML Dump tool as shown in post #4 of this thread.

Perhaps can you give a hint which firmware 5.0 or 5.1.1 based is working on this box?
In addition I have the problem to find even the proper firmware based on 4.4.2 android.
I have device MXIII 4k, s802, 2gb with the mainboard Nexteon. Maybe somebody knows which firmware will work properly? (it is realy hard to find one :/)

HI. To be hones i can't find any chip information. It is the chip next to the soldered antena? (I marked in on foto with black rectangle) If yes then on this item is just a number "4517G1 D322C9 " without information about the producer like Broadcom or Realtek:/

honestly i just tried android 5 and it didn't work, i m back to kitkat.
if you get android 5 to work then you will lose wifi and have only ethernet access to internet

Unfortunately next to by attempts to flash it to 5.0 I bricked my device :/.
Do you have a proper Kitkat IMG to flash it by the usage of Amlogic_Burning_Tool (I'm using 2.0.5 version) or different method to make this device alive again? I searched and can't find proper IMG
Firstly It was KOT49H test build but I can't find KOT49H build version in .img format for this device. (every flash attempt with different roms ended on 3% with USB controller error, I tried also on different PC to avoid drivers problem.)

Thanks for the suggestion but It is still not working.
Firstly I try to flash it by sdcard method by using "TRONFY_TVB_MXQ_CARD_USB_VERSION_FULLY_LOADED_V111k4_20150706" rom. It booted with GoogleTV logo then this logo disappears, the led light was still blue but without additional reaction. After 5 minutes I turned it off because nothing have happened.
Now it is worse it is not booting with sdcard anymore :/
So I'm trying to flash it by the usage of Amlogic USB_Burning_Tool (version 2.0.6.2_build2) but doesn't meter which .img i'm selecting it is still crashing on 3% with the error: [0x10105002]Romcode/Initialize DDR/Read initialize status/USB Control setup error.
I tried to investigate it and what is strange for me:
1) The device is recognized properly by Amlogic USB_Burning_Tool (with the status connected) without pressing the reset button.
2) On this 3% burning step it looks that the device is disconnecting and connecting again (based on windows manager devices)
3) I thought that the drivers problem and the system version problem, but i tried even with windows xp and the result is similar :/
4) When I connecting with OTG the computer recognizes it and says M8 chip en after WorldCup device.

first of all you need to tell me what mxiii you have exactly 2ram or 1ram?
secondly i lost the use of flashing us sd card many times, it drove me crazy till i found the right firmware and flashed the device using usb burning tool.
send pictures of your device. infos and i hope we will get this sorted out in less than 24 hours.
next time you see the google logo, unplug and plug the cable again.

I haven't taken a look inside but I'm pretty sure that I have the exact same box (arrived in same packaging and has exactly the same specs). Any progress in getting 5.x working? The only reason why I bought this box was to use the DirecTV app and it stutters like crazy. It's the only thing about the box that's slow, which is very annoying. Hoping 5.x will fix that (if it can be flashed).

The fact of being slow isn't unfortunately the OS but the hardware. Many Chinese folks who sells the boxes and to whom i spoke to, have confirmed that few lollipop versions running in few specific boxes with amlogic s802 have more issues than the ones with kitkat.
The hardware won't handle the lollipop.

Thx ataraxioss but you send me wrong rom? This one looks like for the sdcard method. Inside it isn't any .img (except of recovery.img) file to flash the rom via USB_Burning_Tool, or it is a special method how to flash it?

Now the content of the zip is better because it achieves the aml_upgrade_package.img file.
Unfortunately still it looks as incorrect ROM or something else ;/

I own the Bqeel 2019 Android 8.1 TV Box Y4 MAX / Amlogic S905X2 Quad Core / 4G DDR4+64G eMMC / Dual WIFI 2.4/5.8G + 100M LAN / tv box Bluetooth 4.0 / USB 3.0/ HDMI 2.1 /4K Smart TV Box .
I have tried many custom roms and none of them seem to work in the correct manner. I am able to use the latest USB burning tool but lot of these custom roms will flop on me after the install process. I feel like there is something usually wrong with the WIFI side. if it is not a wifi problem, then it is the remote control.
I have yet to find a custom rom where I can load and then use the device the way it is suppose to be. I want the remote to work correctly. Keep in mind that I do have a direct Ethernet connection for this device.
I have contacted the original manufacturer hoping that they can send me the original default firmware.
Back to the topic, i am interested in the best, the latest, and the one the works the most for this device. All solutions have failed for me thus far.
ps: i will re try the following .img files that I was able to obtain from FreakTabs
- XTM_ATV_X96_4_4 (this one will not connect to the internet directly. it needs a cell phone or tablet, so i can transfer over the Wifi and Google Account settings. For some reason, this is impossible because it keeps asking for my WIFI password which i have entered many times in the device);
- Poison_S905x2_V2.0 (this one is easy to install but after the install, the GUI seems stuck. I can't open up any apps, and the weather icon is always spinning).
Again, i have tried maybe 5 different custom roms from freaktabs (i am sure they are posted here) and none of them seem to work.

I have the same problem.
I have tried many custom roms but nothing seems to work. Wifi and Bluetooth issues is a problem.
I too need STOCK firmware. I have extra device that is not been messed around with but i do not know how to make back up from stock rom. If i can make stock up rom with one app, i will do it ASAP and perhaps share it.
Edit: So I am able to obtain a back up of the stock firmware via Twrp from my second device, but it is not compatible with the other Bqeel system. All i see is the Bqeel Boot Logo.
I am still able to boot into recovery, and i can also install other custom roms (those custom roms stink).
I still need the orgiinal stock firmware in .img or i need a custom rom that actually works really great.
For those who want to purchase this device, you can but do not mess with custom roms. Just remove default apps and enjoy the default OS.
I contact the seller of my box (bqeel y4 max 4/64go) today
he gonna send me the stock firmware Asap.
I 'll share it when i 'll recieve it.

I did the same thing. They sent me the stock firmware. the device works great now! there is another hiccup though. For usb burning tool, you will need some license files. when you load the .img file in the program, it will not accept it. You need the license files (just transfer them in the directory in usb burning tool)

it is due for an update but works as is. I also have a SlimBox ROM that works for the Bqeel but I'll have to upload that to my Mega folder and share the link.

Hello friends. I have modified an image for Amlogic S905D with Amlogic custom Tools 6.
Everything works correctly except WIFI .... I activate the button but it doesn't work ....
I have looked and within the image I do not see the corresponding drivers ....
I have opened another image that works correctly and I have copied the drivers from the folder Level 2/system/wifi and inserted them in the image in the same folder Level2/system/wifi but it has not worked.
I have also downloaded some drivers for android for my wifi module, I have entered them manually and I have also tried in the Firmware folder ....... it has not worked either .....
I think more files or settings are needed to be done ..... but I don't have any more ideas ...

You should also copy the firmware folder and check vendor folder too for any wifi related files

Sadly, I just tried to insert the firmware, wifi and vendor folders into the image and it still doesn't work ...
Maybe it could be a problem that I am getting the drivers of a higher version Android 7 and the one I want to compile is Android 6, which is what I need ......
Is there a way to get the drivers for an OTA update ??? I have looked but it's all inside "system.new.dat" how can I open this OTA package completely and see inside?

I have fully opened an OTA A6 update for my device, which works correctly ....
I have extracted from it everything related to WIFI-WLAN-Bluetooth since it is the same module ..... I have even changed the .jar applications
Nothing there is no way ..... Bluetooth works perfectly but WIFI there is no way .....
I have run out of ideas .... I have changed EVERYTHING related to the WIFI module !!!

I need to extract them because I need to compile my own image because my device has satellite , cable and DVB-T2 tuners..... That is why it is the reason for Android 6, because the DVB API of A6 is the source code that I have.
What would be all the folders in this image to extract and insert into my image?
I also see that they are arm64 ..... my A6 image not.
EDIT: I just tested the drivers for this image and are in the Kernel, I can't open the kernel for this image. It gives me an error, or it is closed or it is a fairly new version of Kernel.

i know russian language very well and i'm registered on a good forum 4PDA, from there i can get you links with firmwares for S905D boxes if you want.
the DTVLauncher.apk and th_dtv.apk are in system/app or system/priv-app, upload them on some file sharing services like zippyshare.com

As I said, I need the drivers and the way to introduce them in the image, because nothing I have has worked .... I have the original drivers and the original software with the original drivers, but I still have something to load because not working ... My wifi module is: aigale aw-cm273sm based on QCA9377
On your order ..... I don't have any of those files on my system .... Maybe your device is different from mine .... The only thing I have similar is /System/app/DVB_905_player.apk and /system/priv-app/TV_Setting.apk
Hi guys, I just bought this device from AliExpress.
I'm very excited to get my hand on it.
But it's seems to have a strong engine under the hood in a cheap frame.
I guess the hybrid OS from HK, Vontar and transpeed are the downside.
Any chance to get this device certified as Aidans rom?
Also, I'm not sure if slimbox will work, even they support S905-x4.
I guess I'll have to wait till development of this box get start.

The app shuts down every time it starts.
You guys can also try CoreELEC, doesn't work for me yet, but some people with S905X4 boxes are already using it.

I believe this problem can be solved by creating a data directory in sd card.
I don't have a device nearby and can't remember the directory path.
But you can do this:
1. adb shell
2. logcat
3. start kodi
4. you may find error messages about directory was not found or similar.
5. mkdir /sdcard/..
6. try start kodi again

However this error is probably ROM related. I tested another rom from 4pda and works ok. Same kodi apk.
Which firmware did you used? I can't also open Kodi or play YouTube videos, the box freezes every time.

I recently bought a Transpeed X4 android box (Amlogic s905x4, 4/128GB). It's great, but I have a problem. The HBO Max app has no sound. If anyone knows how to set up the device I would greatly appreciate it. P.S. I tried all the instructions I could find online. YouTube and Netflix (sideloaded) work fine.

Does the root work properly and you can edit hosts file etc.
I read that on stock rom it doesn't work properly to edit root files.
Root works fine. You need to enable it in the settings. Slimbox is the best custom ROM for me.
SlimboxTV firmware is the best at the moment.
However, I'm not sure that root is fully implemented, because restoring the settings of my apps with Neo Backup fails.

I have X96 mini, P281 board ,S905W CPU, 1GB RAM, no idea about the wifi
The OS (Nougat) 7.1.2 is working but I keep getting errors that apps or services stopped or failed, it's not severe case, I still manage to do a lot of things I just hope to find a newer OS
Sadly I found out the RAM is just 1GB, is there a way to install any newer OS or ROM on this device? of course wifi and Bluetooth support is essential, I want a fully working OS version that is not sluggish/slow
Is this possible? I want something already known to work, well tested and proven
I want to use the device to play 4K video files and play streams from local network, install the most Play store apps.

Did you find anything? I bricked the same device and I think I can't find the correct firmware for this board. My Usb Burning Tool keep failing at 2% with error [0x10105002]Romcode/Initialize DDR/Read initialize status/USB Control setup error. Do we have the same board? (it has 2308 writing on it, but I have a working identical device and its says p281 in Android Recovery:

I never opened the device to see the board number...
I decided it is not worth the effort. the information is not clear and expected results is not clear also, I don't use it anymore, too many problems to fix.
