I am trying to replace my dying Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and have Sony Xperia 1 III high on my list. Is there a 512GB variant for Europe (XQ-BC52) ? If so, where can I find it ? Alternatively, can I use a US or HK variant in Europe (that is, IF I can find 512GB versions of them here) ? I don't wish to downgrade to 256GB and I do need dual SIM.

Do we have a solution to this one? I got an S9+ from Dubai and i live in India. Can i directly flash the India firmware on this phone?
From my experience I've added my Indian card to Samsung Pay of a different country and it's worked fine.
Why don't you try adding normally?

I assume you get the same connection error as me. But yes on some models you can change the css to reflect a samsung pay supported country. Check sam mobile for a baseband from a country try that supports spay and make sure it's the same model. Iirc there are 3 s9+ models unlocked, international, dual sim. Same issue here. Although when I went to add my Debit Card, the UAE Firmware Samsung Pay
accepted my card and is working fine. The only issue I had was that it showed offers of UAE and not India. I flashed the Indian Firmware on my device and now I have the Indian Samsung Pay app.
This phone looks good and balanced.
If I buy in China, it looks better because the RAM is 6GB at similar price.
I would like to be able to rebrand a non-Chinese rom just like any other Huawei product.
In other Huawei products, how long did it take?

thanks for your answers, I had the same question as the one starting this thread.
Now I became a little sceptic since the updates mentioned in the thread that's linked above, are for the honor 10 model COL-L29 (4gb RAM) – the 6gb RAM version has the code COL-AL10 though – are there any updates / EU ROMs for COL-AL10 that someone knows of?
I guess you can't just install firmware for the 4gb version on the 6gb version, or can you?
Would be awesome if someone knows of something or maybe has the 6gb version themselves + official Global/EU ROM on it.

Currently very little is known about this device software and hardware variants.
Though the device is launched with Emui 8.1 some models have march or april or may android update out of the box. we need to wait till june security update to know more about it.
Most of the EU variants are updated to may security patches.

You are in wrong section its for Honor 10 not 10 lite you need to post in that forum.
BTW do you have bootloader unlocking code ?
If not I think there will be anyway to rebrand it.

Nope it wont be possible cause u did not ask for bootloader unlock code and now u cant get bootloader unlock code anymore.
I m using this device in germany and I have 4G without problem. Also system language german, english, french are available.

Firmware are different:
On Chinese you have Hiboard, Europe has Google News when swiping right from home screen...
Actually u will get updates faster with chinese version...i dont see other differences.
I m using this phone with Lawnchair Launcher oder Blinkfeed Launcher so for me is no problem. Also i got 6Gb Ram version and Europe Version has only 4Gb Ram.

I thought all Chinese versions are 6GB. Can you actually get a 128GB 4GB China model?
