Everything we do is based on CAF sources to some degree. I personally maintain a CAF kernel for Nougat called Rudolph that I upstreamed to 3.4.113. I'll be doing Candy soon too and we use CAF sources a lot as well. All the ROMs you see might as well be CAF. If you're referencing Sultans stuff, he doesn't plan to do Nougat with Onyx or Bacon
Can someone tell me all CAF based nougat Roms for redmi note 3 pro?
@ Nitrogen OS is best till now.
Aosip, halogenOS, citrus
Basically, all the ROM is based for aosp+caf, even though some ROMs are based on lineageOS.

The pure CAF based ROMs are
AOSiP
Citrus CAF
Pure AOSP CAF by mistercheese
LineageOS is also CAF based, and Slim 7 too, but they are modified quite a bit.
Nitrogen OS is actually AOSP based but has most of the CAF features. That's better, because the latest CAF has the 5 December security patch, and AOSP has the 5 March security patch. CAF is updated less frequently than AOSP.
The base of the ROM doesn't matter at all, in my opinion, but the actual tuning of the ROM for the device does.
I tried all the CAF ROMs but I still found no performance or battery improvements as compared to Nitrogen. And Nitrogen also has many more useful features and customization.
I am trying to port Andriod O to my Oneplus 5. I know there is an existing and well-worked LOS/MOKEE for Oneplus 5, but I am trying to do it myself entirely, using the existing one as an example for study. So I can port LOS/MOKEE to my Xiaomi 8 SE ( sirius, SDM710).
I get some information that if you are porting Andriod to a device having no existing LOS/MOKEE supported, you can start it with CAF AOSP. And this is what I am doing.
Now, what I can do is :
* knowing Oneplus 5's OOS-BETA12 is based on LA.UM.6.4.r1-06100-8x98.0 (CAF AOSP version)
* use repo to download a single project of LA.UM.6.4.r1-06100-8x98.0 (like project under device/ , hardware/ , vender/ )
How can I build a device tree for LOS/MOKEE from CAF-AOSP device tree?
Is there someone can help me? Thank you!
nobody.....?
I'm trying to build the Bootleggers ROM for the OnePlus 6T. I am using LineageOS Device trees and kernel trees for this device. I am using the common tree from evolution-x and the vendor tree from TheMuppets. I have gotten the source from the Bootleggers Github and I have done all the basic stuff of fixing the device tree. I have gotten this huge error after mka bacon:
