Working
- VoLTE
- WiFi & Bluetooth
- Video in NewPipe and Facebook
- Sounds are fine
- SafetyNet
Bugs
- Permissive
- 'Double Tap To Wake' in some
- If your fingerprint is not working, then see this
Notes
- It is Encrypted and Permissive
- Source compiled 4.9.206 kernel
do keep in mind that a permissive SELinux environment is not at all meant for being a daily driver. Unless you don’t have any problem with running a less secure software, you’re better off not installing it as your primary device.

microG
Havoc-OS supports Signature Spoofing and microG works out of the box without any additional steps.
Use below steps for bare minimal replacement of Play Services i.e, without any Location Services, Maps and Play Store InApp Purchases
- Flash Havoc-OS without flashing GApps
- Download and install GmsCore from https://github.com/microg/GmsCore/r...2.212658/com.google.android.gms-212658044.apk
- Download and install GsfProxy from https://github.com/microg/android_packages_apps_GsfProxy/releases/download/v0.1.0/GsfProxy.apk
- Download and install FakeStore from https://github.com/microg/FakeStore/releases/download/v0.1.0/FakeStore-v0.1.0.apk
- Go to AppInfo of microG Services Core from AppDrawer and grant all the permissions
- Open microG Services Core, go to Self-Check and make sure that all options are checked. If something is not checked, then click on it and allow for asked permission
- Go back and choose Account for adding Google Account
- Also enable Google device registration, Cloud Messaging if not enabled
- Reboot
BUILDING
Below are the instructions that I used to build Havoc-OS in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
Setup build environment
It will download and install packages required for building
Bash:
git clone https://github.com/akhilnarang/scripts
cd scripts && bash setup/android_build_env.sh
git config --global user.name "HemanthJabalpuri"
git config --global user.email "[email protected]"
mkdir ~/work && cd ~/work
Sync Havoc-OS ROM sources
It will download sources that have size upto 100GB. So be prepared to have that much internet and time to wait till it downloads
Bash:
repo init -u https://github.com/Havoc-OS/android_manifest.git -b eleven
repo sync -c -j$(nproc --all) --force-sync --no-clone-bundle --no-tags
Apply required patches
For fix booting
Bash:
cd external/selinux
curl -sL https://github.com/phhusson/platform_external_selinux/commit/f3d5e2eb212ebd4189428d6adb915880573962f9.patch | patch -p1 -b
cd -
Clone Device and Vendor trees
Our device specific trees to build.
Bash:
git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/HemanthJabalpuri/android_device_realme_RMX2185 -b havoc device/realme/RMX2185
git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/dodyirawan85/vendor_realme_RMX2185 -b lineage-18.1 vendor/realme/RMX2185
git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/dodyirawan85/android_kernel_realme_mt6765 -b lineage-17.1 kernel/realme/mt6765
Build the ROM
It is the crucial step. Its time to build ROM from sources. It may take so much depending on your PC specifications. It may take upto 7 - 15 hours for a decent PC
Bash:
. build/envsetup.sh
lunch havoc_RMX2185-userdebug
m bacon 2>&1 | tee log.txt
Get final flashable ROM zip
Code:
out/target/product/RMX2185/{ROM_NAME}.zip

no erro?

Works okay except for one part -- System UI seems to die and start back up, then die, then start back up again. It gets annoying sometimes.
Using a Realme C12. (It calls my phone an RMX2185 instead of RMX2189)

GPS doesn't work. There's no gps.conf on it.

CyanogenMod 11.0 for the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 ( GT-I8160 )
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It happens to me that I got some build capacity and like to share my CyanogenMod/TeamCanjica builds. I am hardly developing, just cherry-picking and some light debugging. Some of these builds are untested, so feel free to report your experiences here.
These builds are compiled from TeamCanjica's sources, found on GitHub. For installation instructions, credits, changelogs, see Rox original thread. There you also find information about donations. For a changelog in CM sources, you may find CM review helpful.
Let me repeat: all CREDITS to the guys mentioned here. They did all the work.
These builds come in two versions:
Full version, "Rox-like" with all CM apps except CMupdater
Stripped (slim) version without: build-in sounds/ringtones, Apollo, Videoeditor, most of the screensavers, CMhome, CMupdater, CMwallpaper, Exchange provider.
Each of these two versions has a build for the codinap device (with NFC) and the codina device (without NFC). In case you don't know, you probably have a codina device. Personally, I use the stripped-codinap-version, so this will be updated quite often, the others not so frequently.
If your device breaks: you did this on your own responsibility. However, bleeding edge may be worth it.
Link to my dev-host downloads.
FAQ:
Question: How often do you release? How long will this be maintained?
Answer: I don't now. At the moment (October 2014) quite often. Weekly. Daily.
Question: Is XYZ working? (answer valid for the LATEST STRIPED version)
Answer: Live Streaming: Camera and YouTube works.
Answer: Call logs: Contact app is up-to-date and working.
Answer: Swap Storage: don't know. CPU gpu oc: don't know.
Question: How can I get ringtones and notifications back?
Answer: Install the full version. OR: or the internal sdcard, create files like /media/audio/notifications/MyFavourite.ogg and /media/audio/ringtones/MyFavourite.ogg and they will be there forever, even if you install the stripped version.
How to build:
Code:
repo init -u https://github.com/TeamCanjica/android.git -b cm-11.0
repo sync -j32
./cherry-pick.sh
./vendor/cm/get-prebuilts
. build/envsetup.sh
brunch codina
The cherry-pick.sh is taken from here, but maybe some more picks are needed. Note that the code above is more a concept than a working script. Getting your own build environment is not very hard, but not topic of this thread. If it does not compile, feel free to solve it and post the SOLUTION here.
Issues:
Camera FC after video rec
Some videos only play in fullscreen, e.g. in browser (see here and following).
download / changelog
What's all these files? Which device do I have? Please read post #1 first.
IMPORTANT: I had to buy a new device. These files won't be updated anymore or only very very occasionally. Thank you for understanding and supporting me in the past.
These ZIP-files includes a working kernel, based on the stock kernel. There is a good alternative , described here (there are probably more good alternatives I did not test so far).

No, it's not. https://github.com/TeamCanjica/BuildBot/blob/master/cherry-pick.sh
You probably need to create your own script from that. It put a snipped for your convenience. If it does not compile, feel free to solve it and post the SOLUTION here.

Okay..
I'll leave my trace here, in case of fast accessing the thread.
Hope you'll be a famous codina devs just like rox. @poppmensa
I mean not only just cherry-picking, but a real development stuff. Like building cm12 in the future.
How about changelog? Is everything working now? There where various problems with Rox 03/10 build. Call log? Camera? Other things? Would be great if You could write sth more about it.
@poppmensa - can we have the build for codina (non-p) at least once a month? It will be great.
I'm asking 'cause you wrote before, that you'll mainly work on codinap version.

For non-p please... :good:
I use the codina version for about two days, i feel that is all good.
contact log is ok
youtube is working
i have not check the live stream at the moment
The move to (internal) sd from application manager just does not work but i dont care because i have reparted internal memory
@poppmensa finally, you did it.
Keep this thread live & updated. Strip version is so smooth...no bloatware from CM11. :good:
I installed Striped CM11 just because I was curious. Then it got my attention and now I think it will stay for a while on my Ace 2.
Striped Rom Rocks!
I'm not use the phone very often, bcoz buy new one, but decide to try this rom(striped version too) and feel it very good. Just want to ask what's the way to swap storages here?
As I don't see anyone mentioning it, I wonder if I'm one of the few experiencing this bug:
https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/CYAN-4134
I noticed the widget behaves correctly if I change the cLock resolution to a higher value using App Setting module in Xposed. Perhaps something is wrong with the MDPI layout/resources?...
Is there any chance that this bug will get fixed in this build? It appears the CM developer is focusing on the Chronus app and not on the CM cLock app...
And thanks for this build! As someone already mentioned, a monthly release with CM source update would be just fine!
Can someone tell me where can I find last Novathor Settings version for flash via recovery? Thanks.

I think that you can take it from an older version of rox rom, put it in the zip file of this rom and flash at app folder.
or
you can try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729459

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this Android 7 (Nougat)?
A: Yes, this is Android 7.1.2
Q: What code is Oct-N based on?
A: This version of Oct-N is based on LineageOS 14.1
Q: Why isn't there XYZ feature?
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But all the others have..
A: ROM developers, build something they want to use. The ROM developer that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't include (or don't want to include), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Oct-N.
Q: What about root?
A: Root is removed by default (user will be able to flash which ever root zip they want)
Bugs:
Bugs happen. Our testers are very good at breaking things, but no where near as good as the rest of the Android public. In order to investigate and fix issues, we need the help of the users who are going to report them. The Android OS has many nifty features to help us in this, but only if we can engage the user to assist us.
Logs, Logcat, and the Android Debugging Bridge (ADB)
Like any other OS, Android has multiple log files that are generated and record the goings-on of the system. As a user, you have two basic ways to view and pull these to send to us. Without the information in the logfiles, there simply is not a whole lot of information to go on.
Log file APKs
Team OctOs recommends SysLog from the Android Market. This application will allow you to selectively pick any (or all) of the system logs, compress them into a .ZIP file, and allow you to save, email, move to your Copy/DropBox/Cloud Storage account, etc.
ADB Logcat
The Android Debugging Bridge (ADB) is a powerful tool available from Google as part of the Android Software Development Kit (SDK). Used for many things, being able to selectively see, in real-time, what your device is doing cannot be downplayed. While there is more setup involved, if you are doing consistent ROM flashing, you really should invest the time to get setup properly to do it.
ADB Logcat tutorial here: How to create a logcat log
Basic Instructions:
Download ROM .zip file and MD5 file, and grab your favorite Open Gapps package http://opengapps.org
Reboot to Recovery (Note: Use Reboot to Recovery from Power Menu, Hardware-based boot to recovery, or adb reboot recovery - ROM Manager or similar software is NOT supported)
--- TWRP is the ONLY recovery Team OctOs uses - We do not support flashing on CWM ---
The Oct-N ROM installation script will automatically wipe /system, /cache, and /dalvik-cache. There is no need to do these before or after flashing the ROM unless you are instructed to by your Gapps Provider. When dirty flashing weekly updates, you MUST reflash Gapps along with any other files, apps, custom mods or kernels etc.. (anything that resides in system partition)
Flash ROM, GApps and any additional .ZIP files
Reboot

Running POSP now. Smooth ui, no face unlock at all and few customization options. The ones that are there are very polished. Will keep running it and hoping for more updates to come. Also running f2fs on data and no problems there.

Hi, tried to build POSP from source but wont Boot, stuck at POCO logo. Also manually checked Out vendor_xiaomi_sdm845_common. Do current sources produce a bootable build? Is there something else required?

do keep in mind that a permissive SELinux environment is not at all meant for being a daily driver. Unless you don’t have any problem with running a less secure software, you’re better off not installing it as your primary device.

microG
ArrowOS supports Signature Spoofing and microG works out of the box without any additional steps.
Use below steps for bare minimal replacement of Play Services i.e, without any Location Services, Maps and Play Store InApp Purchases
- Flash ArrowOS VANILLA without flashing GApps
- Download and install GmsCore from https://github.com/microg/GmsCore/r...2.212658/com.google.android.gms-212658044.apk
- Download and install GsfProxy from https://github.com/microg/android_packages_apps_GsfProxy/releases/download/v0.1.0/GsfProxy.apk
- Download and install FakeStore from https://github.com/microg/FakeStore/releases/download/v0.1.0/FakeStore-v0.1.0.apk
- Go to AppInfo of microG Services Core from AppDrawer and grant all the permissions
- Open microG Services Core, go to Self-Check and make sure that all options are checked. If something is not checked, then click on it and allow for asked permission
- Go back and choose Account for adding Google Account
- Also enable Google device registration, Cloud Messaging if not enabled
- Reboot
BUILDING
See bringup at https://blog.arrowos.net/compilation-guide/
Below are the instructions that I used to build ArrowOS in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.
Setup build environment
It will download and install packages required for building
Bash:
git clone https://github.com/akhilnarang/scripts
cd scripts && bash setup/android_build_env.sh
apt install jq
git config --global user.name "HemanthJabalpuri"
git config --global user.email "[email protected]"
mkdir ~/work && cd ~/work
Sync ArrowOS ROM sources
It will download sources that have size upto 100GB. So be prepared to have that much internet and time to wait till it downloads
Bash:
repo init -u https://github.com/ArrowOS/android_manifest.git -b arrow-11.0
repo sync
Spoiler
No longer needed, since these are merged in upstream
Apply required patches
For fixing VoLTE and booting
Bash:
cd frameworks/base/opt/wifi
curl -sL https://github.com/PotatoProject-next/frameworks_opt_net_wifi/commit/88773b8285d7962d0add6a9f55c63fc045beb677.patch | patch -p1 -b
cd - && cd frameworks/base
curl -sL https://github.com/PotatoProject-next/frameworks_base/commit/5db62c3223a698657acafdefda323baa5e773d4c.patch | patch -p1 -b
cd - && cd external/selinux
curl -sL https://github.com/phhusson/platform_external_selinux/commit/f3d5e2eb212ebd4189428d6adb915880573962f9.patch | patch -p1 -b
cd -
Clone Device and Vendor trees
Our device specific trees to build.
Bash:
git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/HemanthJabalpuri/device_realme_RMX2185 -b arrow device/realme/RMX2185
git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/dodyirawan85/vendor_realme_RMX2185 -b lineage-18.1 vendor/realme/RMX2185
git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/dodyirawan85/android_kernel_realme_mt6765 -b lineage-17.1 kernel/realme/mt6765
Spoiler
Use below if you want to build using Techyminati's trees instead of Irawan's trees
Clone Device and vendor trees
Our device specific trees to build. No need of kernel sources, since we are using stock prebuilt one in device tree.
Bash:
git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/HemanthJabalpuri/android_device_realme_RMX2185 -b arrow device/realme/RMX2185
git clone --depth=1 https://github.com/HemanthJabalpuri/proprietary_vendor_realme_RMX2185 -b arrow vendor/realme/RMX2185
Build the ROM
It is the crucial step. Its time to build ROM from sources. It may take so much depending on your PC specifications. It may take upto 7 - 15 hours for a decent PC
Bash:
. build/envsetup.sh
lunch arrow_RMX2185-userdebug
m bacon 2>&1 | tee log.txt
Get final flashable ROM zip
Code:
out/target/product/RMX2185/{ROM_NAME}.zip

@jhainemo429
ROMs which have WiFi issues may be solved by using older stock rom as base like A.87 or A.93(this may change in future roms).
If you still can't able to get WiFi working even when you user A.87 or A.93, please give logs.
