Greetings. I have this unit. I want to install Kali linux on it. But I don’t understand how to do it. On 4pda it is not at all very clear, it seems like there is an instruction, but there is no nethunter himself. Everything is clear, under the smartphone, they said, "put havoc os 3.0, magisk, and the android q 10 kernel rosy_nh_boot.img". Everything became, except for the kernel. Maybe they can help me here? Oh yes . I almost forgot to say, the root of the rights from the magician was issued.

I've been looking around for kali nethunter on Honor 7 but I can't seem to find it. I found nethunter for honor 5x,6x and 8 but not for 7. How come? and i would really appreciate it if someone would make net hunter available for Honor 7!
Hi nethunter can actually work on the honor 7 but for now, there is no nethunter kernel for PLK-L01 so all the HID attack of nethunter won't work, and same for attacks that require monitor mode. But the chroot of kali ix working and metasploit is also working well. If you're interrested I can make a tutorial on how to root and install nethunter on the honor 7.
I'm gonna try to make an honor 7 kernel to support the missing nethunter functionnalities but it will take a while.
Have a nice day,

Good luck. Come up with big news buddy.
:good:
Okay actually, this script here (not made by me) is working, you will just need a at least 50% of your internal memory. And some peoples that i know told me that flashing : nethunter-generic-arm64-kalifs-full-rolling.zip and then kernel-nethunter-angler-marshmallow.zip from the nightly page is working. But i'm not sure about that 100%. If someone can test and take the risk and tell us if it's working, it would be really nice.
PS : other peoples say that kernel-nethunter-generic-arm64.zip is working whith honor 7 too. But i'm not sure about this one too and I don't have the time to test these kernel.
Have a nice day,

Hi!
i am new to the treble-enabled stuff, this is the first phone i own that is treble capable and i have a few questions. I think they can apply to other NOBS, so here i go hoping some nice guy will help me understand:
Background: i have the redmi 5plus (global) which i have unlocked (after painful 720h) and i have flashed Pixel Experience 8.1 rom, but i like to experiment and it seems most of interesting roms are on treble.
1. By default, "vince" is not treble enabled. (treble check app says so)
2. "vince" seems to be an "A only" device, not A/B device,
Main Question: Now, what should i do to try (safely) some GSI roms (like here XDA LOS 16 GSI)?
Sub-Question 1: I must most likely flash some other things first, i guess... like a vendor or a treble image? Where do i find it?
Sub-Question 2: I have installed TRWP recovery, is it treble enabled or should i ALSO find a treble enabled recovery?
If i got it all wrong, please i would be happy to stand corrected!
Hi.
Well, yeah, you need to install another vendor, as far as I know, OrangeFox is the treble enabled recovery.
Someone already explained this in this post.
Have fun. :fingers-crossed:

Thank you! Sometimes hard to find the right threads...
Installed orangefox, cool recovery!
One last question... how does kernel works with treble? Do i need treble enabled kernels if i want to change the kernel? Are they provided with the treble-enabled rom already or i get to keep the existing kernel? Is the kernel on a dedicated partition separated from the GSI and the Vendor? (i am starting to understand this, maybe)?

Months ago it started to appear some projects about android 9.0 before of Google revealed it as android Pie, then at this time devices with treble support also can support GSIs from these projects according two specific conditions: the processor (first qualcomm, then exynos, kirin and mtk were supported) and kind of partition system A-A/B.
At this first times was needed to flash a vendor treble supported rom to add treble support and flash over it a GSI 9.0. without the need to flash other kernel.
In this forum there are a lot of GSIs that eventually could work in our device but it could be many bugs https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble/trebleenabled-device-development.
Now is not needed to complicate the job flashing a vendor, then a GSI and maybe a custom treblized kernel so started to appear first developments of roms running 9.0 and these roms will work as exactly did it any rom 7.1 or 8.1, in the future they could be include treble support.
This is the short story.
Hello guys,
I'm thinking about getting a custom ROM on my p20 lite. I'm an absolute beginner in this topic tho.
I've already looked up how to get a bootloader code via PotatoNV and how to root the phone with TWRP.
While looking for a ROM that suits my needs I realized that it's not that easy like I first thought it was.
For example LOS for p20 lite is not maintained anymore and I stumbled across multiple reports that the camera or fingerprint sensor did not work after installing a custom rom.
Therefore, my question is: Is there a ROM for my p20 lite that is stable enough to use it as a daily driver without the need of countless hours of fixing errors?
I'm not that picky when it comes to the different OS. I just don't want to use EMUI anymore because it feels like the Chinese can see anything I do (totally regret buying this phone btw)
Any help or opinions are very appreciated! Thank you very much!
Model: ANE-LX1
Build: 9.1.9.377
EMUI: 9.1.0

Sorry to sound rude here, but maybe if you try to read whole section you would find the answer...
https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/anne
"Warning: The Huawei P20 Lite is no longer maintained. A build guide is available for developers that would like to make private builds, or even restart official support."
The problem is that I don't understand most of the stuff. But This TWRP is DISCONTINUED, "I have unlocked my device and is currently running LineageOS 16 from OpenKirin. There are a few things which does not work, like the camera app that comes with the OS as well as the notch, where icons goes beyond the notch.", "These gapps are unofficial and are in beta stage so you can maybe face a lot of crases", .... sound like I have to put in a lot of effort into this. I'm wondering if it's worth the time if in the end it doesn't work anyway.
A good choice is CAOS. There are a lot of users here running it. And @-Alf- gives great support as long as you read the forum and follow given links.
I have a Samsung J600G, the latest official rom form Samsung is android 10, and most importantly, all official roms are 32bit.
As I cannot accept the stupid fact that my phone, launched in 2018, capable of running 64bit, is running a 32bit system, I tried installing some custom roms.
I've tried havoc and lineage, both worked fine. But after years of using Samsung, I decided that a rom with oneui will give me the most comfortable experience.
Then I found and installed this rom which is a port rom from S20, running 64bit android 10. Its works perfectly for me, but it would be nice if my phone can use android 12.
So the main question is, can I do some simple work to somehow, from the latest official S20 rom, get the necessary parts onto my J6? (So like pretending my J6 is a S20 and applying a (probably modded) "software update".) Or does the whole porting process has to be done from scratch? This is not my main phone, so I'm ok with wiping everything before flashing the "update". I am also not concerned of whether it is S20, my only requirements are 64bit, root, oneui, and preferably the latest android version.
I have zero experience in making roms, so all I can do is maybe replace files, edit text files, and very simple things of similar nature. I can use adb, odin, and twrp.
I have tried doing some research on the topic, but it seems to be quite diversified in terms of the file structure and format of android roms, and some posts are from a decade ago, so it didn't help much. Any help, suggestions and links are appreciated, thank you.
What's up guys? I have a question, currently my device has Lineage 19.1 ROM installed (Unofficial), I'm not having any problems or anything like that, quite the contrary, it's super stable, but I'd like to test some GSI ROMs on my device, since there aren't many build options for it specifically (LGE G850UM). So I wanted to know if I can leave Lineage 19.1 and install a GSI through TWRP without having to go back to Stock ROM... how to do this smoothly? Also wanted an indication of a GSI on Android 12 or 13 that runs stably on it. Thanks for reading this far!

Hey! If you have enough knowledge about GSIs (image type required for your device, disable Verity etc. ), then you can proceed to flash any GSI(present version or above). As I don't have the device model that you're having, i can't say much about it. CLICK HERE for more information, maybe you'll find something about your device.
Note: it's best to have stock firmware downloaded in case something goes wrong
