Anyone know if it's possible/how to create a URL (like a mailto: link) to prepopulate a standard SMS using the standard Android Messages client. I have seen html samples like:
Title 1
or
Title 2
but they don't work. I'm using Android 12.

I want to customize how some apps are invoked by URLs in the browser.
I know I can stop a program becoming the default handler. How do I add it if it doesn't volunteer? I assume there is a master list of URLs, file types and intents (is that the correct technical term) with the valid handlers.
For example I would love to have tapatalk be the default handler for the forum URLs I browse. I would like an app that intercepts URLs for its own website to intercept URLs for its competitor (something the developer would never do).
Any advice on how android handles this internally?

It would be nice to have a option to open html files that are stored on the sdcard in chrome instead of the htmlviewer
I agree that this would be useful. And will look into implementing it. But the average user isn't opening html files so this is a very limited use case. You Are assuming that the user Is a developer and a Web developer at that. I develop full time and rarely encounter an html file, none the less your point is valid and I will look into it.

Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to create app to read excel files received as attachment in emails on gear S ?
Or create email app (standalone ) to receive emails with attachments and be able to open these like for example excel .scv files and such ?
Hi, my friend with this phone asked to me of some documents sending to a no Gmail email address.
He took some photos and I scanned through the Camscanner app (free version) and I created the .pdf file with about 13 pages.
The filesize was almost 6Mb and I tried to send it through Gmail and I noticed that was attached the file as filename a number with the pdf icon next..
The recipient tells that the file is not openable and ask us to send it as .pdf file.
I tried to forward me the email but I was able to open it.
What do you think about this issue?
