Just received the pictures of the case that I had made for the tablet. Will have it shipped to me soon.
Pictures are not the best quality but I will try to get some better ones.
The first one was expensive but depending on how many are interested we can probably get a good price.

what's expensive? Would like the S,H,M,B button side to be cut outs speaker as well on that side.... don't know what the port side looks like, but cut outs there I'm sure would be difficult
nice looking case? what's it made out of? faux leather? also, is that stand holding it at the right angle to be able to watch video? cause the screen has a rather narrow viewing angle
The cutouts are exactly for the g-tab and it's custom made.
So far it looks like it will be around $29 per tablet. I hope I can get them cheaper but it all depends how many are interested.
It looks like viewsonic will never release a case and the one they put out for the gtab is a horrible fit and a joke.

This is what I received from the factory after a week of working with them getting it designed. Once I have it in the mail (I hope in 5 days) I will be able to give a lot more detail.

Happy I put the time into it after seeing the neoprene sleeve that viewsonic came up with.

The case is made out of premium leather and the inside is flannel to protect the tablet.
I like the black color myself but it can also be colored with green, yellow, white, red or pink (i know you want it!)

I would have joined the group with an order or 2 (as I have 2 tablets) BUT I have been playing tonight watching the NFL Channel and from your pics and the optimum viewing angle on a stand/case, your case is twice as far tilted back from vertical as would be optimal... Can this be adjusted???

my local phones 4 u sell them in my area (reading town centre).
i bought a light blue one there - they seem to be the official nokia ones, too.
Phones4u indeed do have the cover but they only sell it with the phone as part of an accessory pack.
After speaking to one of the guys it seems they will get the Official white case this or next week and it will be on sale separately for £8.99.
Will pop in next week to purchase one.

Yup I got the black one given I think everyone pretty much got the black standard one that came in the box. Phones4U were giving out a special accessory pack which contained a white version of the Original case.
Not in the mood to go out and buy a white Lumia and I really like the official soft rubber case as oppose to the cheap knock offs you can buy anywhere else so I though I would go and hunt for one.
I want a red one. I'm also curious if the models listed on amazon.com are oem like the case it came with.
If they're labelled as CC-1031, then they're OEM.
I would love the original cover in a white.
How many official colors are there? I only ask because I've seen a RED and a MAGENTA(pink) I don't know if they are different because the ebay auction says RED and it looks red but that could just be a bad pic.

red is new white?
Seems Phones4U keep telling misleading information.
I went in to purchase it again and was told that it explicitly is only sold with the phone and is not available for purchase separately.
Kinda Sucks that they seem to have a monopoly on the Official White Case from Nokia. I am unable to find the White case from anywhere else at all after scouring the internet for weeks.
I work in Phones4U, there is no official white case, the white Lumia ships with a black case.
I asked the Nokia rep why this is and he told me it's because when he was carrying the white N9 with a white case it got so grotty, just didn't look nice.
We sell an unofficial white case, but it isn't as nice as the cases that ship with the handsets.
Ah thanks for clearing it up, the rep i spoke with was certain it was an official white case and not a 3rd party one. Already have the standard black one that came with the phone its nice but really looking for a white one with the same quality, look and feel.

I figured that would happen but I want it anyways lol. Probably look like a white mac keyboard after a few months of heavy use but so what.

That has to be a lie. Look at the fitment on the back, doesn't even line up properly. This looks like the run of the mill rubbery, get stuck on your pants, collect a lot of lint and dirt type of ebay case.

First off, the official covers are not made of silicon, secondly, the official covers do not allow access to the SIM tray.
Thirdly, if you Google that part number, you can find pictures of the packaging which show is as 'made for Nokia'.

First post here (I think), but I just had to poke my head in, as I'm really confused about this.
I got my Lumia 800 about 3 months back, and in the box was a cyan (well, I alway saw it more of a light blue, cyan's brighter. But that's my inner interior decorator talking) case. I also got the official accessory pack with the white case, and 'Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset BH-111' in it.
Now, my cyan case that came in the phone's box, DOES allow access to the SIM tray. Which is a bit annoying as sometimes I catch it when opening the charging port. And so does the white one.
Not sure how you can tell what's silicone and what's not, but on the accessory box, it says 'white silicone case'. The cyan one feels the same material, so I assume that's silicone as well.
So the white one on Play could quite possibly be an official one, as it looks identical to the one I have at first glance.

bought the gray strap in ebay here (although it's mocha color)
just received it today.
And it feels a lot different from the strap that came with the watch (I have the white one).
the texture is completely different , the mocha strap is a lot stiffer.
also attached pictures of the package.
question is , how can I tell if it's original or not?

everything samsung that is white feels weird. Even their phone covers, my wife and I have the edge and I have a black cover while she got the white. both genuine samsung but the white is way more plastic feeling, same for the other phones. considering that theres like zero alternatives for bands and samsung is always out of stock, if it fits then roll with it.
nice find though, thats the cheapest Ive seen including shipping, may have to pick one up for myself.

in my case , the white feels nicer and like it's made from high quality material.

Got a response from my seller who talked to Samsung. this is pretty much satisfying :
Regarding your question, I asked Samsung technician in Samsung Service in Korea and he said that Samsung uses different raw materials to make good color/ shape of each strap as follows.
A. Material of “White strap” is fluoro rubber.
B. Materials of “Gray strap” are urethane and silicon.
There are big difference of materials, consisting of white strap and gray strap. That’s why you feel difference.
There are 5 different strap colors from Samsung.
White strap is a lot smoother and flexible than other colors such as Gray, Black, Blue and Red strap.

Unfortunately, there's not a code or anything that you could check on replacement bands for this device to ensure authenticity. We do recommend purchasing from official Samsung retail places to be sure you're purchasing original accessories. However, I can tell you that some of the different colors do have a different feel to them than others. The white straps are softer/more pliable

I'm thinking about purchasing it but tbh the rose gold seems so pink... I dont really want to look at a pink phone constantly.
Do you have any solutions or just dont buy then?
It honestly doesn't look that pink in most lights. The pink is quite subtle (much less pink than the rose gold iPhone), more of a pink champagne gold. I thought I would hate it, and bought a dark leather MOFI (Chinese case brand) back cover to hide it. I do use that case a fair bit as it gives good grip and makes the back flat and protects the camera bump, but I also use a Luphie aluminium bumper in the same rose gold as the phone. This shows off the phone's colour, and I find I actually prefer it like that than with the back cover on. Have had quite a few compliments on the phone's style and colour too!
I have the rose gold phone, too. As i bought it wanted to use a black case, but it isn't as ugly as expected and i liked it. ;D Now i use the transparent cover which comes with the phone.
But if you really don't want a rose gold phone, there is an silver version on spemall or the last days at gearbest.

I thought the same, but fortunally it is not that kind of pure nasty pink. The spectrum of pink is wide and this variation looks a lot better in person than in the pictures i have seen of this phone. I love this phone. Anyway all eyes are different it might not be for you

Same here. Before it showed up, I was already shopping for a different colored case, but decided to wait. Turns out that the color grows on you, and for most, the clear case that comes with it is fine. I have to wonder if it's being discontinued, though, given the price difference between the rose-gold and gray colors of the same phone.
I have a feeling that LeEco was targeting the Max 2 Rose Gold to female users ? but realised it was too big ? and hence they have a lot to sell ? so the price is good value ?

Thanks to @sn0warmy, a similar thread already exist. I just feel that the thread doesn't do justice to those who want to show off their phone design and color, especially the limited Really Blue Edition. Why would you order a limited pretty color and then hide it completely away in a case, left with a white front?
I ordered both Tech21 Evo Check Cases and ended up returning them, although I liked their profile, look and protection they offered. The clear/white edition had a really strong white bumper which I couldn't stand. The smokey/black edition looked much better, though the smokey distorted the blue color and darkened it too much. I wish they would have a clear/clear edition.
That being said, I hope more people agree with that there's a need for a specifically clear case thread to show off your phone. If not, feel free to close.
totally agree. Hard for me to choose a proper clear case for the blue pixel.
I have one that's great but then was made aware that the flash would halo glare my photos, but by cutting the plastic between the cam and led it fixed that issue.
