[q] ota changes

Hello everyone. So I just got this update today. I saw no difference in my device today.
Can I get any feedback from anyone?
Thank you
I got a new Prime yesterday from Staples. It took me two OTA's to get to .15. First i had it on .14 and left it there. Now since ive updated to .15 i cannot get my HDMI out to work. I dunno if its my adapter but i can't see it crapping out overnight. Maybe though.
It was working perfectly fine last night on my Samsung Plasma playing NES games like excite bike & super mario bros.
Wanna test your HDMI out for me lol?
I don't have a mini HDMI. Never used my prime up to a TV.
I was on .15 already when the update notification came in, I'm still on .15 though......

No biggie. Yea i don't use the HDMI out often. But its a dream come true playing old NES games on my 60" Plasma. It's so cool it even impressed my GF kid. "OLD video games are fun!" Lol..

Any chance to get HD Netflix on unsupported devices?

Hello everybody.
I recently bought an Android TV box for about 35$ called MXQ Pro. It's a good piece, everything works fine but.. Netflix doesn't support HD for this device or any other TV box as I understood. Is there any way to get HD enabled on this TV box or I'll be stuck at 480p until Netflix changes his policy regarding this matter? It's really a shame for Netflix, didn't expect that at all (it may sound strange for some of you but I'm italian and Netflix has been here only from few months)

Topsion Quad Core M9X Android 6.0 Amlogic S905X 3G+32 ROM M9X-32G

Hello
I have recently bought a Android Tv Box from amazon called Tops Quad Core M9X Android 5.1 Smart TV Box Amlogic S905 with Bluetooth 3G RAM+32G ROM(3G+32G).
Now i have since used for a few days and i have seen that it doesn't seem to run smoothly. It seems the smoothest when on Google play for some odd reason?
Not too sure if it is me but the videos seem to be a bit behind meaning not smooth or choppy at points. May be do that fact they may not be 60FPS videos.
Also is it possible to ROOT this TV box since i am having quite a hard time finding info about it for this box.I tried using Kingroot it goes to 17/16% and stops but it has that spinning wheel press the home buttion and it goes to 18% then goes to please wait for update (Most cases some times to goes straight to it.)
If possible can someone please tell me what to do.
Many thanks

ANEWish AE256 Android TV

I have an ANEWish AE256 Android TV box and would like to get the original firmware for it. The Yoka KB2 "Super Celeron" version works but my WiFi no longer works, and it suffers some performance issues with 4K output.
If anyone has firmware that would work in this box, please let me know. Much is said about various boxes but nothing about where they tuck the firmware out. Trying to work with the vendor is pointless.
Many thanks.

Need VU 55 inch Android Premium TV firmware upgrade to solve NTFS problem

I have bought VU 55 inch Android Premium TV recently...everything is working fine...only problem is with NTFS file system pen drive and hard disk not getting detected in external video players...its same problem which iffalcon users were facing...i saw they have a thread on updated rom...so i want to know if VU users have found solution for this
Even I am stuck with the same issue, recently bought VU 55 premium android and Mxplayer is not detecting my NTFS External HDD. I have tons of 4k Videos there that I want to play with Mxplayer as it allows to include audios to my local language. But no luck. Though all videos with different codecs are playing well in default video player and TV is giving stunning picture display I am still disappointed and annoyed with this. Hope they update and solve this issue soon.
This issue is bugging me as well. I hope we get native support for ntfs.
For now, i have kind of solved it by installing
"exfat/ntfs for usb by paragon" app. It helps mount the ntfs disk and then lets us open files via total commander app.
By using total commander, we can even play video files in other video players like mx player.
Hi Guys,
I reached out to vu support and their response was the best i have experienced. They understood the issue that ntfs is not working for apps like vlc etc. They took a few days and mailed me an ota update. After installing the update via usb, ntfs is now working natively for my 50 inch vu premium tv.
Hats off to vu.
Hope they roll out ntfs suport for all soon.

Thanks man! The ota version in the Steps file seems to indicate this is for the 65” tv. I have 50 inch model (50-OA). Do you think it’ll work on that?
Current build is 8.0.0, Dec 2018 Security path OTT.180130.001

My upgrade from usb button is greyed out for some reason. Can’t seem to get it to work. Usb is formatted in fat32 with only the pkg file it plugged into usb 2.0 port at the back. Did you face anything like this?

Try usb port which is behind the tv.
Have plugged in the back usb port only. What exact steps did you take to upgrade?
Edit:
Got it to work with the an old generic USB 2.0 drive. The TV wasn't detecting any of the newer branded usb 3.0 drives as flashable (They were being detected but the flash from USB button was grey'ed out). It is essential that the usb 2.0 drive is fat32 formatted and have no other files/folder in it.
Another way to flash the pkg file is the turn off the TV completely, plug out the power cable and let the capacitors drain for about 20-30 seconds. Then plug in the power cable and keep the power button on the TV or remote pressed for 10-15 seconds. You'll get a black screen with a "Loading..." message. Normal VU flash screen or android boot logo will not appear.
I recently bought vu premium android tv 43 inch.out of 2 usb port only one port is detecting my pendrive. Other usb port only works as charging port. Do anyone else facing same problem. Any solution?????

Hi,
Could you please share me the firmware upgrade files. The link is broken which you have provided earlier. I am facing the same issue as you previously faced with VU premium 50'' tv. It will very helpfull if you provide me the files or a working link where I can download.
Regards,
