hey guys,
is there any way to disable Do Not Disturb in Driving Mode in Google maps? I want to be able use voice control "Hey Google" function while driving which requires Google Assistant enabled, but it also automatically turns on "Do not Disturb" mode. The only way to turn DND off in google maps is to disable Google assistant but that also takes away the voice control function.
TIA

Hi,
do you know any app for GPS navigation which has voice routing possible in pedestrian mode? I would appreciate it as I sometimes need to go to some destination in a part of the city which is not familiar for me.
However, the navigations I tried, have voice routing only in car mode, so it has to take in account things like driving directions etc. which the pedestrian does not have to respect and thus the track is much shorter.
It would be nice if I, for example, just could get off the bus, switch my GPS on, select destination, activate the voice routing and put my phone in a pocket and let the navigation voice guide me to the target place. It would be more comfortable as I sometimes see the map very poorly and
also have to keep an eye on other pedestrians, cars etc.
Currently tried Sygic and it does not have this. Any suggestions?
thanks
I only know Google Maps, which is only particulary offline ( you can download some area)
I also use sygic and in the support center they say that they will add voice to the pedestrian mode later this year
When I go to enable Car mode in the Notifications Panel I get the message "Unable to use Car mode. S Voice is disabled. To enable S Voice, go to Settings > Application manager, then try again." Thing is, I have not turned off S Voice and can start S Voice from the app icon without any issues. Am I using it wrong or forgetting to turn on something before trying to enable Car mode?
EDIT: nevermind, looks like I had S Voice Greenify'd and its wakeup path to Car mode cut... reattaching corrected this.
Hi everyone,
I want to use Tasker to wake up the phone by saying a some pharse, but not "Okay Google". Since Tasker can't turn on the display on the Nexus 4, I'm using the Secure Settings plugin. I know for a fact this plugin works because I managed to wake up the device by shaking it, just to try. Issuing the voice command is something else entirely.
For this I downloaded Autovoice, and set it to continuous listening. For some reason, it doesn't respond (even when the screen is on), unless I use Google now. By watching one of Armando Ferreira tutorials on Tasker (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J259WzkO3-Y) I learned that by setting continuous on in Autovoice, you can issue voice commands without saying "Ok Google" but it doesn't work for me.
Any ideas why and what I can do?
Thanks.
It's possible that I just don't really understand how to do it - can anyone explain, or link to any tutorial?
I wanted to set up the off screen hot word recognition redirected from emy to google assistant using tasker as in the tutorial for the mate 9, but when i want to record wake up phase for huawei's voice control function it just won't do anything.
Anyone else having similar issues? How Could I solve this? Factory reset didn't help.
Is there a way to disable Google Assistant from listening and triggering (OK Google) when the phone is locked? I still want it to respond when the phone is unlocked but don't like it listening 24/7, i.e when its locked.
I already have the "Lock screen personal results" option for the Google app turned off but the phone still responds when the screen is locked.
Go to Google app and then settings and it's in assistant settings under lock screen settings.
