So the latest update on their compatibility list now lists Xperia 1 (J8170) on there for HD Voice. That's good news! However, I have the international/HK model (J9110), any idea if it will work as well, or would it need a J8170 firmware flash?

The ps app has support for it but you will need to download the Remote play app separately when it is released in a couple of weeks or so(25th in the US)

So its not possible to use this feuture just yet?? Cause i followed a guide but did not work :S :/
The specific remote play feature is not out yet and won't be just yet, the ps app that was leaked has support for he remote play extension so that when it lands you can download the remote play.
Not sure if the leaked thing would work. But apparently it's coming to the z2 and z2 tablet officially.

Hi does this rom have Volte activated and iff so how can it be enabled thanks.
Tried it and I can't get wireless to work, I have the UK model, tried re-flashing the modem and still no WiFI, 4G was working fine, but no wireless is a deal breaker, so back to stock, rooted

I received my Mate 10 (Not pro) last week and i am very happy of the device.
I was able to root my phone successfully and now i am sticking with the build number ALP-L29 8.0.0.119 (C636).
I would like to know if it is the last available rom or a new version is already available and more better regarding battery performance.
Also, is there any way to enhance the screen colors and adjust contrast/saturation, because i feel like a pale layer when using some apps.
Finally, if you can advise on some additionnal action to improve the device experience, it will be very appreciated.

Latest firmware for c636 is 129.
As for screen, check settings - display, set colour mode to vivid. You could play around with Warmth too.

For what it's worth, I just received an OTA update to 8.0.0.128 (C636) today.
This was an update from 8.0.0.119 (C636) which was already on the 'phone when I received it from China (it's actually an ALP-AL00 which was re-branded to ALP-L29 by the supplier).
Perhaps force your 'phone to check for updates? I'd trust this method more than manually downloading firmware from a third-party site.

I flashed my SOV40 with the Global firmware (Customized_UK) for J8110 and was able to get VoLTE working by replacing some files.
You can download the rom (or just the patch) from --> my GDrive <--
Flash it with newflasher.
- I can NOT quarantee this will work for every other models! as I only have 1 device.
- I ONLY tested it on my SOV40 model with an Indonesian carrier and the VoLTE is working fine (but the NFC no longer work).

I have no idea about that
these patch files are copied straight from the Customized_SEA firmware for J9110
I've ended up simlock-ing my phone. Now it can't detect the sim. Halp.
Edit: Downloaded and flashed customized UK firmware, wiping user data, did the trick and the sim is now detected.
