MIC's NOT WORKING!!!
I'm using mojito with PE+ and realised that the microphone is not working with certain apps.
Like Recorder, Google Assistant.....
But it's working fine when I make calls or record video. So, definitely not a hardware problem.
Someone please help me.

They are already allowed.
Flash Latest Stock MIUI and check if the issue is fixed.. if is fixed you can return to Custom ROM ...
My mic is working fine in all ROMs

I tried what you said. it started to work again perfectly with miui. but when I reflashed PE+, the issue came back exactly as before.
Same problem goes with me. In phone call its totally okay. But in telegram or messenger or whatsapp mic didn't work most of the time.

same here total recall worked flawlessly on 2.1 but now after i installed this pre-rooted 2.3.3 rom it doesnt record calls. only via dictaphone settings it helps:-( also my JUST SHAKE doesnt respond now when screen is turned off...pity

Tried different software. All the same.
It would help a lot if somebody would figure out a patch to allow call recording, without beeps etc., with call holding etc.
Also if single click GPS toggle would be possible. Would be great

yippeee. i found a new app called SANITY. recording plus much more. first it wasnt able to record but then i changed the permissions of a recorded file and voila it worked smooth and has a nice interface than total recall

yes i am using sanity and it works fine, even better than total recall plus many other customizations
The Call Recorder was functional in previous firmware (though not in mod roms) but not in 2.3.3. No two way call recording anymore!
It would be wonderful if this useful feature is added/modded by any of the geniuses on XDA.

Yes indeed.
Immy after 2.3.3 stok update, allcallrecorder did not work, made empty files.
Now, at least on Wolfs rom with root, or maybe because of some bugfix it works again, perfectly. I tried other software, they use mic and other party's voice is unclear and quiet.
So, problem solved
I have this problem since i was on ICS until now on JB Roms. Sometimes the front camera is not working and sometimes it works.
sometimes the change camera option on Legacy Camera disappeared meaning front camera is not working and sometime it will appear again.

don't create new threads ... use sticky threads .... i'm using jb rom no such problem ... only problem with jb roms is u can make video call with skype only other apps won't work properly ...:good:

reinstall the rom....and check reviews in that forum thread of the ROM...if no one other is having this problem than you better leave this and try another ROM....using bad simulinked ROM is useless...
I noticed that voice memos and audio's recorded with whatsapp have very low Volume, my friends barely hear me. But Calling volume is very good and normal.
Andy ideas how to fix this (with root)?

Same problem on my G5, with other apps the mic recording is perfect, so i think the problem is within WhatsApp, it will be fixed in the next version.

on updated stock roms it's already been fixed. when you use cm/lineage you need to install a kernel with sound control, for example crazyKernel

I must say first, that I'm not using an LG G5 but a Samsung Relay phone, is just I had the same problem and I'm trying to find a solution to people having the same problem.
Having said that, I never had problems with stock, it's with cyanogenmod 11. Do you think I can also use crazykernel? Did that fix the voice notes problem in whatsapp for your phone? I only have problems with voice notes, everything else works as expected.

No you can't use crazykernel, they are device specific. Search for a Stock(if you are using Stock rom) kernel for your device with Sound Control

Oh I understand. Unfortunately i'm not using stock, but CM 11. Is with CM that I have this problem of whatsapp voice notes too quiet, in stock it works ok.

Then look for a cm kernel

Found a working version of MaxxAudio/AudioFX on the web.
Tested and working on 4.0.2 (It messes up with the call volume. While on call you can't hear what the other person says)
Turn on USB debugging in Developer options to install.
Install as a normal APK

I did not try it on 3.5.4
It messes up with the call volume. While on call you can't hear what the other person says. Do not install, definitely not on OOS 4.0.2 if you use the phone for calls.

Nope I had to flash the whole rom again, dirty flashed of course.

I am having problems with the microphone in the Customs roms, in the past they all worked correctly for me now I only get the microphone to work in AICP Rom, I have tried 3-4 and none of the whatsapp audios or audio recording apps work, I have tried to change kernel and nothing , please help

Try disabling Google app and it should solve your problems on any rom.
Though you wont be able to use 'Hey google' but its not much of a issue.
