OK. Is there a solution?
I do not own a Samsung
you can find the Gear Mananger app (.apk) file on the internet..............then install it on your device, but when you run the app, it will not find your watch.
I feel your pain. I bought the Gear S a year ago, paired nicely with my Galaxy Note Edge phone. However, in November, I purchased the Nexus 6P (wanted an android phone w/out bloatware)........and now the watch will not function when paired with the Nexus. I can connect the two via bluetooth, but that's it........watch is basically just a timepiece.
thank you, my friend. The best way Buy New Watch supports all devices not only Samsung

Hello guys. So, I have an opportunity to buy a pretty cheap Moto 360 and my Redmi Note 3 still hasn't arrived. And it won't arrive soon, but the opportunity to buy the watch will be gone by then. My question is, does anyone have problems pairing those two and do they work fine together? I see people are having problems, probably due to MIUI battery management or whatnot. Can anyone tell me how good these work together? Thanks!

I have Asus Zenwatch 2 and it paired with my Note 3 Pro just fine, I haven't got any problems yet, everything works perfect.

OK, glad to hear that. Was worrying that it might not work properly or something. BTW, can you check the trusted devices feature. As far as I have read, on MIUI it only works with the Mi Band. Maybe that changed. Can you check?

Yes I have checked that, unfortunately smart lock feature does not work with any of its options. There is rumor that it will work with Marshmallow.

So I decided (and you cannot begin to fathom how painful this choice was) to skip root and update to marshmellow.
Android pay being excluded due to root was bad enough, but Pokemon Go was the straw that broke the camel's back.
The camera and audio on this phone are awesome...as is root.
If you don't have root, there is honestly not much reason to have this phone IMO.
Or if you got a super deal on it, that would be a good reason too, and it does look cool and is well-made.

It is a very nice looking phone and does seem well made. I LOVE the fingerprint reader. it works so fast and seamless. Not like my old S5. this is the first non-Samsung phone I've had in 4 years and let me just say It feels so good not to look at another TW interface.I was eligible for a subsidized upgrade through Verizon and my choices came down to this or the Moto Z. I finally chose this because 1: 64 GB, 2. Headphone Jack, and 3. Regular micro USB connection.
LG is lacking in support lately. 6.0.1 has been available since December 2015 and they sent 6.0 in May of 2016 then another update in July 2016 and it still isn't 6.0.1.

I think you made the right choice. Get an Obliq case and glass screen protector and you're good to go

Those Obliq cases are nice looking but I already bought a Rugged armor case (otter knockoff) on Ebay. I don't like the glass screen protectors though. I tried one once on a previous phone and it broke within a week. I was glad my phone itself wasn't broken, but what's the point protecting yoru screen from breakage with something that looks broken?
I stick with the plastic screen protectors.
I will only use glass SPs. Most manufacturers such as Tech Armor will replace them for free if they break.

If you can get a phone WITHOUT v6 (marshmellow) then you have it made.
I loved this phone till I made the dumb ass move and and accepted the v6 update. It borked BT; now everything I connect to is staticy and noisy. It worked perfect before. I called Verizon support about this; they were no help, and didn't care.

All issues are fixed with 6.0.1. At least on Google's side. LG and VZW refuse to push this update. I've taken to tweeting them almost daily. LG no longer responds and VZW wants to do troubleshooting.

They will push the update about 3 weeks after you sell the phone. You might see an update. Now that Nougat is live, you should see the update to 6.0.1 in 18 months because Verizon has decided that you as customers do not want to deal with pesky updates and security fixes.
I think I am going to ditch this brick and get a Pixel phone, updates straight from google when they are released. No Verizon branding or bloat if you get it from google.
Hello
I m very interested by mate 20 pro . Is anyone can test android auto please ?
I'll let you know as have pre-ordered this beauty for Friday ?
Android auto is working fine for Spotify and for Google Maps - however the Dialler doesnt work and in my Audi, when a call comes through it makes the MMI screen turn Black and I have to disconnect the phone to get Android Auto to come back up.
Robert
Same issue here in my Ford with the Mate 20 Pro. Tried using Google phone app instead of Huawei dialler as others had suggested for issues with P20 pro in the past but the issue still persists.

I've tried third party dialers too with no luck, I then hoped today's update would fix it but no such luck lol
Wondering also...

What's cheap about the Mate 20 Pro (apart from maybe EMUI?)

I had the note 9, and I feel the mate 20 pro is miles ahead. Yes there is some issues but I'm confident that Huawei will fix these and hopefully fairly quick. I returned the note 9 to Vodafone after 3 days as was extremely disappointed

Same issue here
I'm experiencing exactly the same in my VW Golf - have moved to Mate20 Pro after being long time Apple user. This is really frustrating - I wish I'd found out about it before buying.
I think it is something to do with the fact the default dialer is not compatible. I couldn't install the google dialer and set to default (which I think would fix it).

Already tried this unfortunately and it didnt fix the issue.
I recommend bringing this to Huawei's attention it'll be a case of the more people make a fuss the more likely they are to address it I know it took them some 2 years to support Android Auto at all on their phones.
I talked to UK live chat and reported a bug. They wrote it up and assigned it to development. Which was really nice to hear.

Thats great, but how old is Android Auto? And they are charging top dollar for this phone. Very disappointing.

Where did you get the live chat?
From the HiCare application.
Tried mine today, in vw passat had no issues making a call at all. Maps and Spotify also worked fine. I did have to swop to a higher quality shorter cable as it disconnected after 30 seconds but with new cable no issues here.

Hello everyone
Just got a samsung galaxy watch, loaded in the Samsung Wear app as required. However, it will not pair with the watch, it resets each time.
I've read other mate 20 Pro users being affected. Anyone else had a problem?
Only thing I can think of is an incompatibility issue with a android 9.
Thanks
My zen watch 2 connected no trouble

Also you'll need the galaxy watch plugin app, ive got the Galaxy watch and have no issues at all with it, works as good as it did when it was paired to my Note 9.

Working for me also (Galaxy Watch 42mm + Mate 20 Pro), although I have occasionally some bluetooth disconnect/reconnect.

I disagree with that. I like to try all different brands of phone, not so much Apple since the 5s but Samsung have been ok for me. I still have my Note 9, it's just slightly too big for daily use. Not one issue with it besides that. Now this Huawei phone, i cant say I've had no issues with this, from auto brightness messing up and third party launchers not working properly with gestures. I like the phone but it's far from perfect. And also this is my 3rd due to the green screen issues. Looking forward to see what the S10 has to offer.

Excuse me, man, is your watch new this year?
The Galaxy Watch is a few months old, got it when it was released.
I received an updated firmware both on the watch and the phone, now I don't have any disconnect issues anymore but I don't know if it's a Samsung or Huawei fix.
Everything works just fine here, especially after Samsung's latest update, which fixed reconnection issue
Hey did you guys without issues enable anything special? I have to manually connect every day. Did you add the apps to the whitelist or anything.
Thinking about going back to wear os with the fossil watch.

Nothing special, but noticed I had to turn screen on phone for them to connect, so for example when I turn on Bluetooth on the phone then turn watch on and leave them next to each other to connect obviously the watch takes a couple of minutes to boot up so by then the screens timed out on my phone, so once I unlock phone after about a minute it'll then connect which is a bit weird never had that problem when it was connected to my Note 9. Watch would connect with my Note 9 whether the screen on phone was off or on.

Yeah looks like I have to hit the open on phone button and all is good. I normally have 2 devices connected at a time and coming from lg v30+ it handled that better than most phones.
I agree, watch is perfect connected to samsung phone. Wife uses the note 8 without any issues. But I understand that part, its meant to be used within samsungs world.

I have the opposite experience. Have both note 9 And mate pro, I haven't used my note 9 since I got the mate, so enough said!
