I love my new Amazfit GTR 3 Pro except for a few things.
I can't find a timer feature. There is a count down setting but it doesn't alarm at the end of the countdown. I used my old Versa as a timer all the time. Had anyone found a timer setting?
The watch calendar won't sync with (get data from) my Google calendar on my phone. Has anyone been able to pull data from their Android phone's Google calendar into the watch? I saw a review from GSMArena that stated they did this.
There doesn't seem to be a way to change notification or alarm tones. Unless I missed a setting some where.
I also noticed it is quite picky about song file formats. It won't recognize some some that I have ripped.

Well, I guess my countdown is broken. I have the notificaton sound and vibrate setup already. I don't get an alarm or vibration when the countdown is done and sometimes the countdown will stop a 1 second and not finish. I have to use the alarm function and create an alarm with the amount of time that I need.
I've rebooted the watch but that didn't fix my countdown issue.
That doesn't sound good. If a factory reset doesn't fix the problem then a return is your only option I guess. Good luck!
Hi, guys. I'm currently staying in China and bought GTR 3 Pro. I chose China as a region in Zepp app as well. To my big surprise the watch is fully Chinese lang. I couldn't find any option to switch over to Eng neither in Zepp nor in watch settings. Any workaround?

In the Zepp app under watchsettings you have "system language". Here you can change the watch language.

There is no such option, mate. I know it should be and where to find - nothing in there, nor in watch itself.
When I set up my watch I didn't have an option to set up region. I could choose between a bunch of languages and I chose “follow phone language (Swedish). Since the watch doesn't support Swedish it automatically chose English. Didn't you have that option during setup?

I set up a region while registering in the Zepp app. When was setting up the watch itself I didn't have any requests to follow device's lang or anything lang changing related. I contacted a customer support, they said it's a domestic version and it can't be set into any other lang but Chinese. Which is weird.
What a bummer! Can you return it?

Yeah, have already applied for it. Here in China when you buy something there is a rule of 7 days no reason return. Amazfit representatives told me that I need to order it from Amazon haha

Amazfit Zepp app doesn't show watch faces in the store, and Alexa doesn't work on my new GTR 3Pro unless my phone is connected to an external WiFi network! Everything was fine with my Amazfit GTS 2 watch! 4g and 5g is receiving data just fine as always! Any thoughts?

In Bluetooth I see 2 device:

Why so? Do you have this double BT connection too?
the trouble is that when I turn on the BT only the first automatically connect to app, for the other (2E08) I've to connect manually.

First bluetooth is to connected the watch to the phone (zepp) and the second one is to connect the watch to answer to the calls. You can accept the first only or both of them.

The problem is that when I connect the Gtr, the BT for answer to the calls, do not connect automatically, and I've do this manually.

I don't use anymore the Bt answer, is very energy intensive. But the few days i used it, the second bluetooth connection was automatic for me.

As i know official there is no any ways to get Alexa outside US, about changing region in smartphone and ect., as i know don't working that, method in which if you only changed language/region (this happening in various operating system versions, so PIE is not only in this case) i tried to understand how working at all Alexa (how it detecting my region), coz i got the same update with Alexa as many probably of us (Verge smartwatch). So the only confirmation which i got from Amazfit support, it's can be detecting by GPS and you can't change that. When will be available Alexa or any other assistants in others countries there is no any news and dates. It's possible to do something from developers sides? Well i'm not developer, but i guess only if you install 3rd parties software and ect. But i'm not sure, developers i think can answer better from theirs sides.
I am outside of US and it works IF you use an Amazfit account which you state as US
Then when you set up the watch after signing in to your Amazfit account you will find an option to setup the "US" Amazon account and then get Alexa capability.
I find it a bit sluggish to call up but it works

should work whether iOS or Android
the key is the Amazfit account. it should be in a region which is Alexa supported I think. Just use another email address and create a new Amazfit account with US as the location

I tried, i created new account of Amazfit Watch app, i choice US region, i did factory reset of Verge and created new mail. Did not helped. Alexa is not still available. As i mentioned in some case Amazfit Support confirmed to me that Alexa is detecting by GPS, so you can try and further to change settings in smartphone/Verge, to create another account and ect., but if for you worked, must be something else. These method which you wrote did not wroked for me
What i did:
1. Created outlook account (which is US mail service)
2. Created new Amazfit Watch app account where i choice US location
3. I confirmed all new account
4. I did factory reset of Verge watch
5. I log in into these account/pair process
6. There is no Alexa, don't working any voice assistants

Yes. Can you do these screenshots/pictures?
From Verge watch:
1. Model from Verge watch with operating system version number.
2. Active Alexa on Verge screen (better is video, but will be great pictures too, it's depends you, what you can do)
From smartphone/Amazfit Watch app:
1. Smartphone's operating system version
2. Smartphone's region and language
3. Amazfit Watch app region (if this possible)
4. Amazfit Watch app version
All these sections which i mentioned screenshots/pictures or video at all.
By the way it's yours smartphone or/and watch is rooted? Is installed stock ROM and ect. (in both devices)?
As i mentioned in my past post, it's not enough to change only region/language of Amazfit Watch app/account and smartphone region/language. The same confirmed to me Amazfit support, in some case they confirmed to me that Alexa probably detecting location by GPS signal, which you can't disabled as i know in Verge model (i'm wrong?). Probably location is detected that you choosing weather location in Amazfit Watch app. How exactly detecting Verge watch region couldn't siad to me support, but idea and method which you wrote they rejected at all
P.S. Model of Verge i mean (for example) A1811 which is international version. I need this number. You can easily find this information in Verge settings.
I can't do this because my Verge is stock CN model with CN firmware. But I know people in Italy and Brasil using Alexa in EN without issues keeping the phone in English as well...

Yhea, yhea... sounds like movie's name "rumors has it..." In youtube is millions fake methods how to do one of others things, but all theirs are fake. Sorry man, but as i mentioned yours methond don't working the same in a some case confirmed Amazfit support. I'm sure yours friends doing something more as to change location, if they exit at all
I got mine activated too. Latest Amazfit version both on watch and on phone, android 9, everything stock. I am logged in to my Amazfit account using Google, not using a separate Amazfit account and to activate Alexa I simply changed the language of my phone to English (US) and when I opened Amazfit it gave me a pop-up saying that now I can use Alexa, I never expected that to work this easy. My region for my Google account is Romania so the only thing that got it activated was changing the phone language to English (US), as I had it on UK previously.

Don't be so sensitive, i just asked a proof, as i mentioned in internet full rumors/fake methods and ect., how to get any or other things/features and ect. I did not wrote nothing bad, if this is so hard to do it's ok, i just don't believe you, coz i tried and did not worked for me, also was rejected in a some case this method (if you want you can call it how you want, i named it as method) from Amazfit support. I don't have time to try probably a fake method again which did not worked first time, which was rejected by manufactors worker... It's ok if worked for you, i just wrote my experience about that, guys, it's ok if you got positive result, i got negative. I just posted about it, no need to try to change my opinion, i just asked a proof, if you can't post it, discuss is over, do you agree with me? It's ok for you, then it's ok for me too
It's your choice, changing simply the language of your phone and region is the easiest thing. Anyway, Alexa in Verge is pretty useless if you don't have other Alexa enabled things in your house, as it can't do too much.
PS, the manufacturer support will always say no, as it's not an officially available service, even though they might know workarounds.

If you read attention my post, i already mentione dthat i tried to change language in smartphone/watch (Verge), to create new account of Amazfit Watch app and ect., did not worked. So that's why i'm so negative about that.
About manufactors, well, i know that they will sya ofetn no, coz it's not official method to get Alexa, that's why i tried. But as i mentioned it's not working for me. I don't know why, maybe i doing something wrong, maybe it's just something else i have to do. One of you posted Google account and ect. In my smartphone always wokring GPS, in watch was choice my location in weather widget, also in a some case confirmed that location in watch can be detected by GPS in watch and ect. I havn't iPhone, which was mentioned too. Yes of course it's my choice, but come on have everybody have Alexa in theirs watch? I know what is voice assistant is, i had before i bought Amazfit Verge, Sony smartband talk, which have voice assitant too. I tried a lot of time Google Now (voice assitant) too and ect. I waiting that untill will be available in rest world. But say me honest how often you using voice assitant? It's a fun feature, but... it's not daily useful. I bought Verge for that, but in Sony's device i did not used so often assistant, but always is great to know that you device have it, sometime is need it. But without it Verge is not worst watch That's why i tried to get it, but if not working - well, i will try to wait untill Amazfit will do available for me too SImple

i just bought my Amazfit GTR yesterday. Apparently was attract by its battery life and the design. Im having some problem on the Watch Face/ Online Watch Face. I can view all the 30 templates in Amazfit apps but it prompt " Update the firmware before you sync the watch face." I can see my GTR's firmware version is V0.9.7.00.
I tried to plug in the USB from watch to Mac, it only charging but doesn't appear on my Mac.
Any ideas how to resolve this?

All is done via Amazfit Watch app, make sure you have latest version (3.2 as of now).

yeah just got it updated on tuesday after i restart my phone. The Watch's firmware connect to phone via BT, and updated to v1.3.3.06. Now able to update Dial from Amazfit Apps.

No, GTR does not run Android but a proprietary OS (RTOS).

No, it doesn't either. Think of GTR as a round BIP with AMOLED display (or good looking Verge lite - not all plastic). Nothing else...

Hi I got Gtr yesterday and I have a problem with my notifications. I get them on Greek characters which the watch shows up as ??????? . I had amazfit pace before and didn't have any issues with it,it showed Greek characters normally.
Anyone who can help or give me an advice;;

GTR doesn't run Android (like Pace), it is more like a BIP with rounded AMOLED screen, so unless you use a third party app or someone finds a way to upload fonts to the watch, it won't work.

If it doesn't support UNICODE now, hardly it will in the future. They may add more fonts that are uploaded/replaced in the future once the watch is paired to the phone and it detects a different language. Someone said it supports German, but I am not sure if it supports all non-Latin characters...

i just tried again Notify and fitness app and it works! at least on messenger, i sent a message in Greek and it came to my watch in Latin characters....

In case of, the Chinese version can display accent on the letters or special letters in notifications (é, ê, ç…) for French people for example, something the Bip can't do. But UI will still be in Chinese.
I have also ordered the watch myself and when I learned of the lack of support for Greek characters I was annoyed.
I sent through the Feedback from Amazfit application on this issue.
It would be great for everyone who has the watch to do the same may they add it to a future update.
I have already contacted support and they are aware of the Greek issue (and other languages also). They said is on their road map... but dont have an exact date yet... who knows.
I am using Notify atm till we get an update
If I use this app, can I remove the Amafit original app and manage all with Notify?

I'm interesting to buy this watch and I hope Huami make an update soon for as, so we can see without problems Greek characters (and other language characters too).
It should be self-evident nowadays... :silly:
But also I would like to know two more things:
1. Does this watch support Notifications from all apps that have Push Notifications or only for some of them, (like Facebook, What's App, Viber and other Messenger apps)?
Basically I'm interested for Reminder Notifications by apps like (Life Reminders, Keep, Splen Do, etc.)
Are these applications supported properly?
2. Is there any character limit when a notification text is large? And if it has, do we have the ability to avoid this limit with a third part application like Notify & Fitness app?

It is almost impossible to find some stuff about Bip S. I have just bought one a week ago and trying to make it more useful. First of all, it is said that the watch comes with 10 different activity options. I just got 6. Later I found out that there is this OTA update which I didn't get it. Because my watch is updated to the latest version and still got 6 options. If anyone knows about it please let me know.
I 've got some other issues I would like to mention all. The second issue is the lack of watch faces and inability of using creators because I guess there is no one for Bip S yet. One that exists for Bip gives an error for most of the work.
Finally, I was trying to use amaztool which is a good app. I didn't get ''the custom trigger'' section though. Anyone knows how to use this and what is this ''url'' part about in it?

These are really nice and they are working if I change them via Notify & fitness app manually. Unfortunately, Notify & fitness cannot sync my workouts at the moment...

I have got an Amazfit Bip S, and I would like to connect it to Gadgetbridge. However, it does not work because I cannot find a working authentification key. I tried sqlite3 and the modded Amazfit app from freeyourgadget.com. I am grateful for any suggestions. Here is what I have tried so far:
I tried the sqlite3-method with a rooted phone running Android 7. I followed the procedure as described in the Huami-Server-Paring description on github. However, it seems the phone has no sqlite3-package, and I could not push one to /system/xbin because I had no writing permission. I copied the origin_db_* to /sdcard/ and pushed the sqlite3-package from my laptop to the same directory. It did not work either, sqlite3 gave me back it could not find a line with DEVICE.
The modded Amazfit-app produced a file, which read [MAC-address];[32-character alphanumeric sequence]. I tried the 32-character alphanumeric sequence as authentification key in the Gadgetbridge-app, but it did not work. For all I know, the authentification key should have 16 characters.
I am grateful for any suggestions!
Taken from the gadgetbridge guide did you do this when entering your key:
IMPORTANT: Enter your key prefixed with 0x ( eg. if your key is fedcba01234567890fedcba012345678 enter 0xfedcba01234567890fedcba012345678)

Thank you for helping stupid across the street! I was so stuck in other problems that I actually forgot this. Embarassing... Now it works with the 32-character key the modded Amazfit-app produced. Thx!

Hey guys, I'm interested in this watch after I managed to sell the buggy gtr with it's trash GPS. Does this watch work correctly? GPS, tracking etc everything is functional?
Does Anybody knows if Bip S can be flashed? I have the Chinese version. I want to flash the global firmware ?

Bip S can flashed with Notify & Fitness app, but can not flashed from Chinese version to global version.

But Amazfit BIP and BIP Lite can be flashed from Chinese to Global
Bip S Global model is A1821, this watch can change language to Chinese or another 21 languages in Amazfit app, and what model is Bip S Chinese version please let me know.

The Chinese model is A1805
The code name of the device is already known - DongTingHu may be Bip2, Global version is A1806 not Bip S A1821 which code name is Tonlesap.

I only know the official Amazfit app and the Gadgetbridge app (apart from watch face apps). The Gadgetbridge app is for those who are sensitive about their personal data. The official Amazfit app has some functionality advantages.
For instance, the Gadgetbridge cannot share the phone's GPS signal with the watch — other than the Amazfit app. That is a bit of a problem because it takes the watch a few minutes to find the GPS signals after you started the sports tracker. Distance and speed measuring only starts after the watch has found the signals; time count, however, starts before. That distorts average speed.
Also, retrieving the watch key for the Gadgetbridge app is a bit tricky.

"Amazfit BIP 1S" is written on the watch box. When I connect my watch to the Amazfit app I choose Bip s / bip lite s. And my watch has GPS as well. So, I think it is Bip lite s
Hi, I've found quite a few of the Amazefit family of watches have apps on the android store to allow the button to be double or triple clicked to play music, skip tracks etc. Has anyone found a way to do this on the Bip u or Bip U pro, as the apps don't seem to support this model, and after searching the net I've not found anything? Thanks in advance for anyone who can help with this.

Hello, have you found any updates? I used to use my original Bip, but now i have run to the same problem.
I have found out, that you can use alternative way, to make shortcuts. You can you the Notify for amazfit app, which lets you to run actions, but with sliding back and forth from music selection. (it is not easy to describe). But I would still prefer the old method.
