Try the non-root version if the root version is giving you problems. Vanced works perfectly for me on my Pixel 6 Pro.
Why vanced? Try the open source newpipe. No ads whatsoever.
Just use the non root version. It works for me like a charm
Non root version works perfectly for me as well. Try deleting the app, microg and the manager, delete any folders in appdata related to them all, and start fresh.
Here ya go.

Looks like @i5lee8bit maintains the module themself, which I only just learned. I had been using the original one they released and updated myself lol I hate doing extra work.

Newpipe is great, but many want to have their own profile logged in.

it worked fine for the first few weeks I had greenify installed, but a couple of weeks ago on both my Nexus 5 & Nexus 7 2013, the screen will not turn off after auto hibernation. greenify still has all the device permissions and accessibility and unsecured lock screen it needs to do this, any ideas?
Which version are you using? There is 2.4.4 beta in the Playstore. Try it and see whether your issue goes away.
Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the response. I am running 2.4.3. Unfortunately, Greenify beta is not showing up in the Playstore for me (just the 2.4.3 version is showing up). I've found the 2.4.4 apk at a few other websites, but am hesitant to download them from there (I'm not sure how secure those sites are). Do you have a download link that you trust, or could you post the apk?
Thanks

To get the official beta apk, there are 2 methods. I believe you could have already know this earlier if you open the main thread of Greenify. Please search the forum thoroughly. Anyway in the main post,
Join [G+ community] or [Google Group] then [OPT-IN] to receive beta version directly from Google Play. (You will get 404 error without first joining community or group)

If you want to install them manually without play store, you can go to oasisfeng's dropbox folder for that matter.
Please do a recent backup before using the Beta for easy downgrading.
Hey people!
Is there a "safe app" (open source, obtaining APKs directly from Google PlayStore) on Android to download APKs from the PlayStore and install it on a Android device which has no GooglePlay services running? If not, which one is the safest solution to use a (linux) program (open source) or browser extension (open source) to do so? I don't wan't to step in fishing traps or get myself some malware from 3rd party app stores.
Thank you!
Blankstore but you won't find all apps due to the generated Android ID.
Thank you very much! Unfortunately the program seems to be discontinued and therefor it's not working on Android .
Try this: https://apkpure.com/about.html#

I used it for several months and it's still working. There's no "active developement", only bug fixes. That's why OP mentions "discontinued". FYI he will work on a new App store this summer (or later if he doesn't have enough free time).

Thank you very much! I'll have a look later on. I also wondered about Apkpure. Doesn't look too reliable.

I tried Apkpure a few days and my sha1 checks were ok compared to the original apks (next updates from Google Play were working too) BUT we have no guarantee that it will always work like that... I'm waiting for the new Blankstore. For now, most of my apps are downloaded from F-Droid and the remaining ones are updated through the original Google Play. Fortunately, we have microG framework.
I know there is a thread with matters very similar but did not help me. I'm on android nougat 7.1 using the moto E 4. I had youtube vanced working fine, then it stopped working once I updated my phone. I have deleted it and reinstalled, also I have installed micro g. I don't know what to do, so if anyone can help with suggestions and /or screen shots that would be great. I've restarted my device, tried deleting anything that might be affiliated and I have also removed official YouTube updates. Thank you in advance.

first Disable Google chrome and try to add your google account on vanced youtube.:good:
(if disable option not showing up uninstall the updates and clear data of google chrome and try it )

The one provided in the vanced manager app should do the trick, did you installed YT Vanced from there or from standalone apk?
Vanced
The official website of Vanced - a Video client for Android (Not affiliated with Google/YouTube).
vancedapp.com
From the backup up of the old phone

Oh I see, that's why.
Download and install YT Vanced Manager, and vanced manager will suggest you the right microG, YT Vance and Music vanced version
Same issue here but easy to solve....delete the app transferred from backup, install the one here: https://vancedapp.com/ and then install all the apps from the Manager. You're up an running afterwards!
Pls mark this as solved in title thread.
