Question Back sensors - Google Pixel 6

Hello, I saw various cases with a lot of cut outs for pixel 6.
Can anyone tell what is what? A know the primary camera, UW camera and the flash. What the other sensors that is on te camera bump?

pretty sure its laser autofocus, mic and maybe light sensor

The light sensor is definitely there, also I think a proximity sensor.

OIS... it's the optical image stabilization feature to allow for less motion blur in low light photos and less shaky video. :good:

Is there a way to disable it? 1st time LG user..before this samsung s3
Um... not sure how to disable it... maybe I am not understanding the problem?
Generally OIS is thought of as a desirable feature...

The problem is that when i already focus to an object, but the lens is still moving. Is it normal?
The object is in non moving motion. But lens still moving..like a gyroscope not in balance..
In my camera test,it stated fail for my gyroscope test..any chance to calibrate it?
edit; already found how to calibrate it, but during system test found my laser detect test is fail...how to do?
The subject may not be moving but the camera is compensating for the phone being moved.
Are you using a tripod? Are you experiencing poor camera performance? Why are you looking at the lens while focusing?
I'm sorry, I don't know how to do those calibrations, but there may be certain external requirements to pass/calibrate them. I don't understand what problem you are experiencing or what you are trying to correct... I am guessing your using the hidden menu tests?

LG G5 wide angle lens focus?

Hi guys, I tried looking everywhere but I haven't been able to find any info about whether or not the wide angle lens has any focus (autofocus) or even touch focus? Or is it fixed at infinity only, with no focus? Or maybe my camera is broken? For example if I put the main camera close to my leg and focus I can clearly see the hairs, but if I do that with the wide angle it is blurry (however things, far away seem clear). If I touch the screen while in wide angle mode the green focus square briefly appears, such as with the main camera, but it does not focus neither does it make the focusing sound.
Also the front camera has no touch focus or autofocus, right? This is driving me crazy, and would appreciate anu feedback so that I know if I should send my phone back for repairs or not. I heard that some G5 phones are suffering from hardware failures regarding the main camera focus, but I want to know if the wide angle supports focusing in the first place. Thanks guys, I really appreciate it!

How exactly does the S9+'s telephoto lens work?

Hey guys. So I've been tinkering with the S9+ and its telephoto lens and I've noticed something weird about it...
So basically, I got one of those clip-on lenses for when I still had my S7. So I figured if I used the 2x on the telephoto, it would get 4x. Odd thing is when I switched over the 2x and had the clip-on lens on the main (top) camera with the telephoto lens effectively covered, it still shows an image (which actually looks 4x!). So does that mean that the 2x still shows the feed from the main cam? Doesn't the telephoto lens have its own sensor?

The telephoto is used only when it detects good light conditions, otherwise, it will be a crop of the main sensor.
You can do the test yourself: in good light conditions, change to the 2x and you will see is using the telephoto sensor; now cover it with your finger and you will see your finer approaching and after a couple of milliseconds you will see an image again. This is because the camera detected no light in the telephoto and changed to the main sensor.
Take out your finger from the telephoto and you will see how it changes again.

Question Whats the Pixel 6 real camera sensor?

Hi
I used both the 6 and friends 6 Pro and the results are different completely.
I do know that the Pixel 6 Pro is using the Samsung GN1, but how we can be sure that Google is using the same camera sensor on the 6?
Tried to find out using AIDA and other apps but it won't show the sensor name..
Pixel 6 sensor is also Samsung GN1

I dont see they mentioned it in the manufacturer site.
Put them Side by side with same lighting conditions youll notice difference between the two.
What kind of differences? Great if you did a comparison side by side example here.

I don't have the files but the main key differences are:
Pixel 6:
Less saturated.
Most photos the subject are lack of brightness.
Less fine details.
Selfie cam is just lack of details.
More noisy camera output (dirty photos)
HDR is just a joke.
Most photos are lifeless..
On the other hand Pixel 6 Pro:
Wider Dynamic range.
Way less noise than the counterpart.
More fine details.
HDR is better, not by much but the difference is there.
Selfie cam is way better, lets leave the selfie cam aside because it's
an different camera module (11mpx vs 8mpx).

They don't have to mentioned. It is said that sensor is 50MP 1/1.31" with 1.2 μm pixels. There is no other sensor with that specs.
Hmm i removed the tempered glass that i applied, will check today if it fixed my photo taking experience.
I do know that "glue" is applied and the heat from the phone might cause blurriness due to that.

Question GRAINS and NOISE in camera

For front - back cam and video there are a lot grains in the camera even after capturing it. For camera Gcam helped to solve this problem, but grains are there in Gcam videos too. Anyone have a solution to this problem?
yes, a phone with proper Sony IMX sensor will solve all of them above

Sensor alone does not solve anything. It's sensor+optimization that sensor. That OV50A sensor is very similar than IMX766 sensor and both sensors are pretty good... In different ways.
as u see there is no development or interest in this device, so it won't ever get a mature GCAM port or optimizations, so unless you get Motorola a lot cheaper than the competition, Realme GT2/Pro have better cameras at same price point in my country, i'll wait till XIaomi 12T pro gets a mature GCAM port + config then i'm selling this mid-range nonsense with flagship processor
