Custom Roms for Tab S6 - Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Questions & Answers

Is seems there are a lack of ROM offerings for the Tab S6? Is this likely to change?

You could try some GSIs, however your mileage may vary. I recommend to use GSIs built from source, and avoid sGSIs (i.e. Device ports).
Some decent source build GSIs are Andy Yan´s Lineage OS builds

Several Questions about Nougat ROMs

The situation with Nougat ROMs is a bit confusing for me so I have several questions:
First question:
@andr68rus is working on several N ROMs at the same time:
Resurrection Remix
Dirty Unicorns 7.1.2
AOKP ROM for LeMax 2
Can you tell which one's the best, most future proof project? Did he even stop maintaining on of them?
Second question:
What about the official Lineage Builds?
How well maintained are they? Is this the way to go in the future?
Third question: I'm currently using TeamWin twrp-3.0.2-1-x2. Do I need a new TWRP for N?
Thanks for eventual help.
Aside from Dirty Unicorns, most of the ROMs are Lineage based. I believe @andr68rus is taking a break from DU to focus on resolving issues in the Lineage based ROMs he's building.
In fact, I believe most of the Nougat ROMs (not just andr68us') are based off the work done for Lineage 14.1 so it will probably be the best maintained. I've switched to the Unofficial Lineage 14.1 for now and probably will go with the Official (assuming it goes official, though I don't see why it wouldn't) unless some other ROM has a feature that's "must have" to me.
With regards to TWRP, I think your's should be fine, but you might want to give MultiROM a try so you can switch between ROMs. I currently have LOS 14.1 as my internal, and DU 7.1.2 & AOKP - MM as secondaries. I'm using Lineage as my daily driver, but it's nice to know I can boot back to AOKP if I have an issue. I didn't have problems with DU, but I didn't place any calls and I saw some complaints about things like echo and call volume, which is why I went to Lineage. DU did feel a bit "smoother' to me, but I'm not sure if it's just placebo because it was the first Nougat ROM I used, or if it's because it's AOSP rather than Lineage based.
When using MultiROM, just don't freak out if flashing a ROM messes up your PIN codes in all your other ROMs. There's a flashable zip to remove the pin codes from a ROM (which really just deletes a few files) and afterwards you can add you PIN back.
Thanks for the answer. With Official Lineage I've meant the ROMs from download[DOT]lineageos[DOT]org/x2 . The thing I don't understand is how well maintained that is. Do they have their own people working on the ROM, or are those people from here?
Edit: I just realized that the ROMs there are 13.0 which is supposedly Android 6.0. So there are no official Lineage 14 ROMs jet. That's where my confusion came from.

I'm using your Lineage 13.0 UNOFFICIAL atm. I've tried AOKP but the battery drain was too high. The 13.0 seems fine. I guess I'll wait a bit till the N ROMs a more mature.

Oreo update automatically implies project treble enabled or not?

Since kenzo already has AOSP & NOS oreo build available, i just wanted to know if the builds are project treble enabled or not. If not, why not?
no it wont have treble. OEM and qualcomnn must provide drivers etc from a very low level so that it works well. kenzo only had marshmellow, so definetely no. if the device came with android O then it will have.
It's a lot of work which cannot be done by a single person or a team. Even Google has to team up with the silicon vendors and oem to try bring it to current flagships. Lineage Gerrit has some treble related commits, who knows, anything can happen. But it's mostly unlikely.

GSI Roms

If I've got this wrong, please correct me but GSI ROMs are compatible across loads of different devices. So for example Linage 17 GSI works for Treble based phones no matter the manufacturer as long as you have the right vendor installed.
If thats right, why do we have devs developing for individual phones. For example why have a Havoc ROM for a phone when you can just have a GSI rom?
That's the difference they both have advantages and disadvantages

Most stable LineageOS for Z5C?

I'm running the stock Sony ROM on my Z5C, which is Android 7.1 and some apps I use are no longer supporting 7. So an upgrade to a minimum of Oreo/8 is necessary.
My question is, for stabilty, are the LineageOS builds based on 9/10/11 stable enough for daily use?
I would value simple setup without having to tweak things even if it means an older Android version. I made do with 7 for years so not too bothered about using latest version if it means compatibility problems and annoying bugs.
Any advice from users who are using LineageOS?
For both stability and app compatibility, go with Berni's LineageOS 17.1. It's very stable and suitable for daily use.
For apps that require Android 11 (not sure how many of those exist), go with 18.1. Equally stable but may be slower than 17.1 at some parts (especially the media player in the Quick Settings, but that's mostly Android's fault, as it's slow on my newer devices too.)
19.1 is in beta but also worth a try, if the device is not your main one.
As for the setup, installing custom ROMs only has an initial hurdle, which is unlocking the bootloader and installing TWRP. There are guides in this forum that can help with that. After that everything is a breeze.

Question Recommendation for Spoofable A12 based ROM

TLDR; Can anyone recommend an Android 12 based ROM that supports MicroG?
One of the main reasons I use Android is that I can avoid using Gapps if I want, and pretty much eliminate Google services from Android. But, I'm not seeing any 12 based ROMs that support signature spoofing at this time.
I'm moving from a SGS10+ to the SX1iii and finding it difficult to find any ROMS that can do this. Since Samsung gave up on SD cards and the headphone jack, I've decided to stop using their devices. But, the move does have some speed bumps.
I've found LOS for MicroG and crDroid to be some of the best for Samsung, but I don't have too much experience in the Sony realm. Thanks for any input.
