Trivial question here. So are the power and volume rocker buttons supposed to be flush with the rest of the case? I also noticed it's really hard to press down on the buttons and when I do, it makes a loud clicky noise!
You're talking about the phone naked, yes?
Mine aren't flush, but they don't stick out very far. They are also very easy to press and I enjoy the clicks when they're pressed.
Mine stick out about 0.2 - 0.3 mm and are very easy and pleasant to press, definitely sounds like something is wrong with yours.

I found my radar(uk sim-free)'s power button is too soft , i even cannot feel whether i press it or not~
does anyone has the same feeling ?
I have a Tmo radar and agree the power button is very low profile. I kind of like that, once you use the phone for a little bit, you know where the button is. I wouldn't mind if it were a bit stiffer, but i'll get used to it.
I do not like my buttons to be flushed so I bought a case that covers the buttons and has distinct button marks on the surface and I'm happy now.
The volume up button on my S3 does not 'click' when pressed, instead there is a squeaky plastic rubbing on plastic sound. Also when I put my phone case on, the up button gets jammed and the squeaking intensifies, it's getting quite annoying... No issues with the down button. Anyone else have this problem? Any quick fix for this?
I have the same issue! My volume rocker and power buttons produce a noticeable and announcing squeak when pressed. The SIII I had before this one did not have the issue.

Click to collapse
Maybe it's something a syringe and a tiny bit of mineral oil can fix...
Or... just spray some WD-40 directly in there j/k
So I originally got the S6 before getting the S6 Edge, and the S6 had fairly non wiggly buttons(volume rockers and power button, not home button). However, my S6 Edge has pretty loose volume rockers/power button and so they wiggle a lot. Anyone else experiencing this?
I actually have this problem. When I go to pick up my phone and touch a button, it sounds like there's a plastic film on it
Everyone does it. The buttons have give to them.
Hmmmm... My power and volume up button seem some what loose but my volume down button is very crisp. Not really a big deal to me as none rattle our making any noise even if I vigorously shake the phone but I could see how you could find it irritating.

Maybe its me being VERY picky...
But on the back side on the phone on the lower cover, its a little bit creak sound when i press it.
Also if i hold the finger on the top on the phone and under at botttom,if i press both ends at same time i also hear another creak sound.
I have no idea if its acceptable. Any sound from Your phone?
The plastic which joint the metal on back side is it moving when you press hard ?
Can you see any gap between plastic and metal part?
No,i can't say I see a gap there.
I don't press hard tho.
Nothing is moving..
By the way, it's not sound all the time..
Nobody else have sound at all?
Just tryied it. I have a creak sound too. But havent noticed it the week i have the phone.
Nothing like this here...
Thanks for reply.
When I press it, it almost sound like a little click.
But when I hold it on top and bottom at same time and press , it's creaking.
Maybe I'm just being very picky about it, and I guess this is not a good reason to bring the phone back to replace it with a new one.
If I press first the lower left and right sides together really hard and then press the back at the CE-label and keep doing this alternately there is a faint click. I have to hold my ear about 10 cm from it to hear it.
Hello folks,
Do any of you feel that their phones power button is a bit recessed (more than it should be) mine works just fine but today I checked another Note 9s and its power button was a little more clicky thus easier to press than mine. I wonder if its due to normal difference in tolerance?
Edit: Its almost flush with the body which makes it a little harder to press but it still clicks.
