Question Xperia pro I photography pro app for xperia 1 iii - Sony Xperia 1 III

Hi guys! I have a question, is the photo pro app on sony xperia pro I the same as on xperia 1 mark iii. If they are different can i install photo pro app on sony xperia pro I for 1 mark iii?

Hi, I've watched there is an edit photo app that seems like Lightroom to edit raw file.

Lots. What about SnapSeed? A good starter.

Thank you for your reply. But I mean app for camera on 1 iii and xperia pro i is the same? Not app edit image

I have both. The apps are essentially identical. The only difference I have seen is in the Menu settings on the Pro I there is an option to add a bt remote (Sony Shooting Grip). That's all i see different.

oh yeah that is different but that’s a hardware issue not software. the pro i has a mechanical aperture on the main camera and can switch between f2.0 and f4.0. but impossible for that to do anything on the 1iii.

No it can't. The Xperia 1 iii has a fixed aperture on the cameras. fixed meaning cannot be changed. Changing this option on the camera app will do nothing since the hardware doesn't exist on the phone
The Xperia Pro I has a variable aperture, when using the camera app to change the aperture, it will make, in simpler terms, the mechanical hole opening bigger or smaller.

What he said ^
I also like Vignette best and I've tried a lot of the camera apps.
Camera 360 for stability help (like on CM6 one). Vignette is best for applying filter. But myself like Camera 360 a bit better.
But wat if someone was looking for a app with zoom opt ??
I use Camera 360. Better image quality results from stock camera application.
Macro shots are superb!
But no zoom.
I tried installing the latest version of Vignette (02-24-11 version) on my phone but it just makes my screen blink, and that's that. I'm using CyanogenMod. Maybe it's got something to do with that? I would really like to give it a try.

same, and camera 360 blinks as well, not working
I tried installing the latest version of Camera360 since Vignette wouldn't work on my phone. So far worked nicely.
Thanks to those who recommended the app.

Camera Advance Lite
Hi!
I'm using Camera Advance. It has all the function I need at one touch, the full version is very cheap and can be paid via SMS.

I think if I search with "sleek camera", something else would turn up in the android market.
lgcamera pro works fine
For video?
Hi guys,
I need a camera software for this:
- need record video
- light on/off WHILE recording video with button and no touchscreen
- video start on/off with button, no touchscreen or photo button.
I found Video Illusion, this nice, but record and lamp on/off with touchscreen. Simple Cam is good (lamp on/off and shutter with volume buttons, simple, no any plus, but best to me), but this only for photo, no video. I need this two apps mixing: just two buttons, no any function.
If possible and need advanced functions, use
- volume buttons to zoom in/out
- photo button record start/stop
- menu button to lamp on/off
Anyone have a tip for this simple function for VIDEO recording WITHOUT touchscreen?

[Q] Panorama Pictures

Hey
In all the reviews i haven`t seen a demo of the Panorama function in the camera app.
Do you know a good video demo?
How is the resolution? Is it megapixel like or something low (e.g. 1800*240)?
I've got one here 1968x576
and another 1808 x 400
smallest dimension pretty much depends on whether I took the panorama phone up or phone on it's side.
there needs to be a hack to make full res panoramas!
Is someone already doing it?

Hi there - bad news for you I'm afraid, there is no panorama function. You can probably download an app for that.

The XPERIA Arc camera app was created for a different set of camera hardware. The Arc has Sony's touted 'Exmor R' CMOS sensor and a different lense where both perform better in low-light conditions than whatever SE smart phone before it.
I would think the app itself and whatever drivers it might require would need to be changed in some way to make it work with the X10. And even if someone were to get something like this working, the differences in hardware would make the end result taken pictures look pretty much like whatever came out of the X10's stock camera app anyway.

Unless there was a dramatic difference in picture quality and general functionality, I don't think the fancier user interface of the Arc's stock camera would be enough to get the XDA devs to even try porting it over for the X10.
I want the stock xperia arc camera interface ported to my xperia x10 too! Just the interface.

New photo Pro app available

Guys, just seconds ago, I found, that there's the (from what I guess) new photo pro app from xperia 1 III is available here apkmirror.com
I tried to install and it worked!
Not able to take a screenshot as it's forbidden by system (not really necessary, sony). It has the new basic mode, that was shown on press release.
What are the differences with the mark II version? Difference in image quality or options?
From my guess, what sony is going to archive in future models, is to combine the normal and the pro-app, so there would be no need to develop and maintain two different apps - that saves money for them.
The linked app is already combined, some settings are slightly different insinde the pro-modes. You can switch to effects from basic-mode. I'm going to try to abandon the normal app and see, if the new one misses anything.
Thanks for posting that. I've tried it and it's great except that I normally open photo Pro in manual mode but this new app defaults to the basic camera app so you then have to change it to the camera pro app yourself. A small thing but just one more step that we didn't have previously when the two were separate apps. I see no setting to change how it opens by default so if anyone else does...
On a positive note, I may be imagining a slight thing but I think quality has maybe improved fractionally. To be specific, everyone has raved about this phone taking RAW files that you can develop yourself ( even though I think most flagship phones do now ) but I have always found that indoor shots with this phone in RAW always require a tripod which means you are just as well getting your real camera out. The ISO has to be low otherwise there is so much noise that even tools in lightroom struggle to fix it. But I think I see less noise now in handheld shutter speeds in low light.
But thanks to OP for spotting this app & bringing it to our attention.
BTW, how does anyone know this is the app from Xperia 1 iii when it's not released yet? Is there information on Sony website?
Many thanks.

I always open the Pro app with a push on the camera button. The new Pro app can be configured to open in Pro mode when pressing the camera button, so it works great for me.
Thanks very much. Ye, I saw you can choose the default in new settings too. I'm enjoying the new app.
Good find. Works well on the Xperia 5II as well.

The is a setting for "Open in last mode used". Since I always use the Pro Mode that works for me.
After installing the APK, can't choose the photo pro as option with camera key.
What I need to do to choose the photo pro as default?
Had to remap power button gesture to use the photo pro app. Camera button does not have photo pro option after installing this APK

That's what I've done too, with button mapper app. Howerver, it does not work when screen is off for my non rooted device. Don't forget to set photopro bypass in button mapper when photopro is active.
Tap tap app is also an interesting option.
For now I removed the update and reverted to the original Pro app.

So the old PRO app was not able to be used wiht the front camera, right?
Is there a way how to downgrade to original Photo Pro w/o root? I fear the answer is no.
It seems this upgrade broke eye AF at least on 70mm camera. All pictures of my wife and daughter focused on eye are out of focus. . Also manual object tracking seems not to work at all.

Yes, it's easy. Go to settings, apps. Find the Photo Pro app in the list, click on it. From the menu, choose "remove updates". That's it.

Question Xperia 1 V versions of Photo Pro and Video Pro work on 1 IV

I figured I'd try them out, since they showed up on APKMirror. Had to clear the cache on both apps to get them running, but they work fine. So far, I haven't noticed anything new in Photo Pro. The night mode is not there, probably due to the 1 IV hardware not being compatible. Video Pro does have a few updated menus and you can shoot vertically (if that's your thing). They were just released last week, so more usage will be needed to see if there are differences.
What's new in Photo Pro is the portrait layout when in Auto/Manual modes. The night mode button also shows up in Auto, but pressing it doesn't do anything so it stays off. I would wager that it's only an artificial limitation in the software, as two out the three sensors are the same between the phones.
