First i'm french so forgive me about my English lol.
I have a problem :
My mom gaved me an alcated 1x 5008D but she forgot the pass and i tried a hard reset with the bootloader, but the phone is still locked and need the pass or the email (i know it but my mom recently changed her mail and deleted them) or the phone number (she... changed her number too...) so i have nothing to unlock and the oem is locked in settings... Someone have a solution ??? thx (i maybe look like a thief and you cant trust me of course but it's real and i wanted to keep the phone but i cant.

Hopefully someone can help me out since I can't seem to find answers anywhere to my problem. I got an unlock code from T-Mobile but when I put a foreign sim into the phone is says "invalid sim, 0 attempts remain". I got the phone on craigslist so I'm guessing whoever had it before me tried unlocking it with the wrong code too many times. I have the right code now, how do I reset the attempts? I can't believe that the phone is hard locked and there isn't anything I can do about it. It's pretty frustrating so any help would be appreciated!

So people here know how to put different operating systems on phones but no one knows if it is possible to reset the sim unlock counter?????
the phone is hard locked and (certainly in most cases) can now only be unlocked by using a hardware unlocker. (for most phones, you get three attempts via the keypad, and a further 10 via a hardware connection normally.)
thanks for the reply! what exactly does hardware unlocking mean? would i still need to use the code given to me by t-mobile?
speak to a phone shop (or better yet speak to t mobile first)
have you tried to restore the phone to factory(not a hard reset). I would try going to Tmobiles website and try to update the rom...

^is for US phones I just did mine today because the guy that put android on it removed the unlock screen and I was unable to unlock the phone. And no one on here was able to answer any questions for me so don't feel bad.
Got it unlocked last night! turns out the sim card i was using was locked. i tried a different one and it let me key in the code. thanks for all the help!

good stuff. No, flashing / hard resets will not ever lock the phone now.
hello i got a Archos 5 internet media tablet at a good price from a pawnshop and when i got it home it was password protected the shop didnt know the pw so they sold it to me for cheap ... is there a trick i can do to get around this ? i went into recovery , downloaded the file from the main site, installed it and after the reboot it asks for the pw again !!! i tried 4 0's no luck plz help thank for your time
When in recovery menu - did you perform full format or just update firmware. You will need to full format to stand a remote chance

I believe you have to contact Archos to get a unlock code.

well i called em and they said that i need to get the pw from the first owner i explained that i got it used from a pawnshop and they didnt care so i guessi'm stuck with it unless i can find a work around

Yes. I thought that may be a problem as how would they know that it wasn't stolen. I read someone else called in to get it unlocked, but he must have been able to prove that the device was his. He typed in a 3 digit number for a password and it requires 4 digits.. so then he couldn't unlock. Maybe it was registered.
I hope you find a solution.
So today I somehow forgot my PIN on screen unlock and don't know how to "reset" PIN on screen unlock. Umm,if it is possible without FACTORY RESET because I have really important job stuff on my device and since it hasn't got option for SD it will erase all. Please help me guys... Dumb, their has a different google accounts, and the cellphones was lagging a lot because trash apps and other stuff that my sisters download, I decided to do a Factory reset, but when thats ends, both of my sisters dont remember the accounts, and one Cellphone is locked by google account, and the another i unlocked and installed a new rom (Resurrection Remix),
The cellphone that has Google Account I Can't unlock the bootloader, and the other when I put the Sim, in the corner of the left/top appears TELCEL, then Boost Mobile, an repeats, telcel, boost, telcel....
What can I do? I tried to use " fastboot oem config fsg-id telcel" (I search and other sites said that I have only to put my cellphone company (Telcel), bit it doesnt work

Hello there.Here is a weird problem.One of my students brought me his mobile phone (Doogee y7).He said he put the pattern wrongly for some times and now even if we put it right,the phone doesn't recognize it.I suggested factory reset BUT even if we did,when the phone starts again it asks for the pattern.He doesn't remember the email password even if we know the email address.(I ll try again to login to gmail) but until then,is there a way to flash cwm or stock rom again so I can unlock it?I have to say that unfortunately USB debugging is not enabled..any help will be much appreciated even if I don't think he ll have any luck with it.(one of the biggest retail stores in Greece told him that the phone is dead and nothing can be done.)
