I accidentally deleted the "whatsapp database crypt" from my phone.
I don't have root, and i just have tried several programs (dr. fone, anymp4, android recovery, etc...) and some of them maybe have to recover if the phone is rooted. (don't test)
And i also tried to root my phone Moto G4 Play, but don't have sucess.
It's really possible to recover this file? I just need some really important notes of my 'Honor' in college.
just appealing in a forum with no hope...

I've been trying to restore my chats from my Galaxy Fit with whatsapp version 2.11.175 to my Galaxy S3 Neo with whatsapp version 2.11.238 with no success! I transferred my sd card which contains the whatsapp folder(old). It didn't work. So, I copy/pasted the database & several other folders that weren't there in the new folder (the 2.11.238's folder) from the sd card one and reinstalled the app. This time it asked if I wanted to restore the found backup or not...to which I clicked the restore button...After few seconds, I got an error saying it couldn't restore & continued synchronizing. >_<
Is there a way to restore all the chats? Without rooting?
Please help guys! Thanks in advance!
The whatsapp folder in sdcard only include some audio files and pictures/videos, not your chat history. Since you are non-rooted user, you can try helium (download from playstore). It can be used without root to backup data of your apps (of course this includes your whatsapp account and chat history), but you will need to install a pc client to help you on that. It's very easy to set up, head over to the playstore and give it a try!
As a careless person, such as I,many Android mobile phone users are not careful to delete their SMS text messages and Contacts, or lost photos and videos after restoring factory settings, flashing ROM, rooting, etc., from SD cards inside Android mobile phone. After formatting the SD card on your Android, you may lost photos from the SD card on your Android phone.
Please don’t worry now! Actually, all you lost data are still on your Android phone or SD card for Android. You can’t find the lost files back without recovery tool. The only way is to use a Android data recovery software so that you can get back SMS,Contacts or Photo&Video from your Android mobile Phone. Before I try to use a few similar function of the software, but the effect is not ideal, through the friend introduction later I used the software GT Recovery for Android, which is to share today.

Hello,
I recently was messing around with the firmware on my Samsung Galaxy A3 2016 (SM-A310F). I tried to install the Xposed Framework, but i failed to do it, and my phone did a complete factory reset and wiped all the internal data. I made a backup before (using Titanium Backup Pro) but that backup is also gone (don't ask me how). So, i had Facebook Messenger installed on my device. (I don't have Facebook, so i use facebook messenger without a facebook account.) So my question is, is it able to retrieve all the data inside my Facebook Messenger (contacts en chats)?
Yes ofcourse messenger will retriev all data because it runs on server
hit thanks if i helped u
Apologies if this has been answered before. I backup my messages to google drive. Whatsapp also backs up messgaes on my phone. I want to free up phone space. If I delete the whatsapp backup stored on my phone, will all the messages stored on google drive also be deleted / will they be difficulty to restore back to phone in the future once whatsapp syncs with google drive?
Thanks
I would like to share a tip for WhatsApp users. Most users said that they have a backup problem and they were unable to recover data and conversation.
Through a cloud storage service, user can easily take backup our conversation & media which is offered by WhatsApp. When you change your mobile device, you can easily restore the old conversation. If you set up this function properly, then you never faced any backup issues in your WhatsApp.
Here are the simple steps to execute this function and get your backup anytime:
Step 1: Go to the Setting
Step 2: Under Setting, Click on the Chats
Step 3: Go to the Chat Backup and simply select Auto Backup
After backing up all the conversation & media on WhatsApp, Just restore it after installing again. This is best when some get the new phone.
Hello, I had a problem with WhatsApp chats.
Yesterday WhatsApp refused to open because of problems with chats. I tried to recover chats using my .crypt12 database an it didn't work, it got stuck at 39%, the app did not crash but it din't go further.
So I decrypted msgstore.db.crypt12 using WhatCrypt and i opened the decrypted msgstore.db database to check if it was corrupted. It wasn't. I guess WhatsApp is unable to decrypt .crypt12 database file for unknown reasons. Now I don't know what to do to restore my chats.
Can I restore WhatsApp chats using the DECRYPTED database (my S6 Edge is rooted)? If not, is there something I can do?
Thanks
Does anyone know if it is possible to restore WhatsApp chats using decrypted database?
Hi,
Were you able to solve this? I'm having the same problem.
Hey, Would you mind telling me what did you do before it happened?
I don't suppose that Whatsapp backup was turned on before all these happened?
This dr.fone can help to recover lost or deleted WhatsApp chats from Android smartphone easily, also contacts, messages, photos, music and more.
