using androids ability to apply updates through the stock recovery through a zip file is it possible to use this to update the oneplus nord n100 metro us version to android 11 buy using an update file from the official oneplus site, instead of waiting for the official carrier update for android 11 if this is not possible what will happen when you try to flash the file anyways

Hi, I'm trying to update my old Samsung Tab 3 10.1 wifi tablet and I'm having some trouble with the lineageos image.
When I boot into TWRP and try and flash it I get an error about the image being incompatible.
I've tried lineageos -14.1-20210426-unofficial-santos10 and an older version.
Does anybody out there know where there's a working ROM for this tablet?
Many thanks
Steve

Hello . I installed a custom ROM on my phone and customized it. Now I want to turn the personalized custom ROM into a zip flash file that anyone with a model of my mobile phone (Huawei P8) can use. Can you introduce me a way to do this?

Hey there!
Recently I got thinking about installing LineageOS on my SM-J730F (Galaxy J7 2017). But most Roms / Recoverys out there are not the most recent ones and I like to use recent Versions as I like most recent features as well as bugfixes.
So I wondered, if there are any disadvantages of self-compiling your roms and recovery.
Also i have a few other questions open:
- If I compile my rom and want to update to a newer lineageos version, can i do this via the updater or do i have to recompile the entire system again?
- What happens, if you have physical buttons. Do they work normal and are Software-Buttons disabled?
- Can I use any version of GApps?
Thanks in advance

Yeah sure why not
Im looking for someone to upgrade the android version on a old phone. It is a Ecom Smartex 01. This phone is very similar to the Sonim XP7 aka 7700. Currently it is running 4.4.4. I know it had 5.1.1 files available but they were taken down. I have the Sonim usb driver available. any devs? This phone is a spare so i can send it off.
