I'm not positive, but I seem to recall that one of the"fixes" in Android 12L Beta 1 addressed this.

I just figured someone would re-add the ability from android 11 to android 12....probably a very simple fix for rom devs

I just got a new Chromebook and I was reading about the Smart Lock feature which can only be used with a Lollipop phone, which I don't have. I only have CM 11, and don't want to flash Lollipop yet on it. Is there any way to make Chromebook's Smart Lock work with a KitKat CM ROM?
I've only found about apps that lock your phone when in diferent enviroments or when connected to trusted devices, but don't know i it will work with a Chromebook's smart Lock feature.
Anybody knows a workaround or a port of the Smart Lock Lollippop's version but works on KitKat?.
Am I really wrong to assume that these Smart Lock apps on XDA or Google play will work with a Chromebook?
Thanks.

Hello!
I have a question about Accessibility Services and Password enhanced encryption in Android N.
I have not installed any of developer previews on my device (Nexus 5X), because I use for my every-day stuff and it is my only device, so I cannot afford any issues.
But I am wondering if it will be mandatory to disable password enhanced encryption in Android N or will new Direct Boot feature take care of that?
Thank you!
im actually on the latest N preview for my n5x and its the most stable rom i have been on since i got the phone. but i cant help you with your question
[SOLVED]
For anyone having the same question.
I have managed to solve my issue. The soultion is not exactly Android N related, but it do not see why it would not work (it is tested on Android 6).

Hey how is the development progress of the android N project?
I have been researching alot on this but came up with nothing.
Most of them were just under beta testing but soon to be released..
Just hoping for a early release...

Hello Everyone,
I am sure you are all aware of the extensive list of bugs and issues that plagues the Amazfit. As of now, there are no real ways to circumvent the issues as Xiaomi/Huami seem reluctant to make any updates or fix the issues and even the PACEfied ROM has a few bugs that carry over from the base firmware.
That leads me to the following question. Since the Amazfit firmware has an android base, would it be possible to port Android Wear to the watch? Android wear should be able to fill the gaps of functionality that effects the device.
wear is not an open source OS, thus, you'll have some major issues of porting.
Unfortunately this is the issue. It would be awesome to have this watch on android wear but as it's closed, it would be at best a while..
On the subject of custom ROMs, would it not be suitable to develop a custom android based ROM?
Wish AW was open source.. people have made ROMs (I'm thinking Ghoma on my LG ages back!) So here's hoping
Maybe build an Android wear-like ROM based on Android with custom app to link with it...?
I think that it is not completely impossible. I know that for Sony 3 smartwatch they did a port of AW ver.2 from other AW smartwatch. So the port should be possible as the AW is out there.
Any way we can actually work on this? Tips? I would love to help.

you're asking or telling?
that would be good
just bad i dont realy know how to port roms
Hi Guys,
I am not an official Waze Beta tester, but I was able to find all the Waze beta versions on apkmirror.
I found out that the only beta version that works with Android Auto is the 4.24.0.113. I did try the versions which came afterwards (4.25.0.1 and 4.25.0.2) but they do not seem to work with Android Auto. Do you guys know why?
Is there any link where it is possible to find out the versions that work/will work with android auto?
Thank you

I found out that Waze sent this e-mail to beta tesers:
"We're rolling out the latest Android Waze RC#2v.4.25.0.2.
Please note that this version is part of the regular release cycle of Waze; the beta version for Waze on Android Auto is a part of a different beta cycle (v.4.24.0.113) and it's distribution is via the Play Store beta channel."
Thus, the only version working right now with Android auto is the v.4.24.0.113. Unfortunatelly we will not know if the next version will be AA compatible or not

Bummer, I was really hoping to see a new version with AA. Been using 4.24.0.113 for a while. I would have thought they would have a new build out there by now.
What version of AA are you using?
Running AA 2.4.722904 and Waze does not show in AA. Tried with both 4.24.0.113 and the latest 4.26 beta APK. No luck.
Hi,
Upgrading to Android 11 LineageOS, I noticed some issues regarding GPS (a lot of time to fine position on Google Maps and GPS not working in other apps). Searching in this forum, I found the same issues in all Android 11 based custom ROMs.
Has anyone found a solution?
Thank you in advance.
Hello, sorry if I sound rough, but I think you posted this issue in the wrong sub-forum.
I personally haven't had any major issues with gps, maybe there are some gps region profile you could try.
Thanks. I don't know, never had any issue before Android 11 and I see on the forum this is a common thing on beryllium and with this Android version.
