When searching for something a list of movies appears. Then tap on an entry and a description page should open up. But all I get is, Loading... This is taking longer than usual. This has started a few weeks ago. Installed is latest version from playstore.
Forced app to close, delete cache and data, without success. Poco X3 NFC, rooted. Adaway installed but tried it also with deactivated Adaway. Also re-installed app. Any suggestions?
The best feature for me is the advanced search function. The website doesn't provide the same functionality. I actually want search movies by criterias, not keywords. Actually the search function on their website is completely crap.
I have exactly the same problem. Have you found a solution?
I have this problem too, did anyone found the solution?
@Marcus0513 , @Stefan Haking - Try clearing your 'hosts' file in /system/etc/hosts
Make sure it has no urls other except
127.0.0.1 localhost
It should Work fine
Cleared everything still stuck on loading forever
I have the same problem. The workaround I found is to use old version of IMDB app (8.8.3.3.108830300). However using of newer/last version still has the problem.

All of a sudden yesterday I was no longer able to load the market pages for a bunch of apps I have installed, and which had been fine the day before.
I was able to update the apps by long-pressing on the app listing under "My Apps" and selecting "Update", but if I try to open the market page for the apps I get a "NOT FOUND - The requested item could not be found." dialog. Searching for these same apps won't find them either. Some example of apps I'm seeing this issue with are:
- Kaloer Clock
- Minimalistic Text
- Dolphin Browser HD
- Twitter
- Springpad
However, some apps do come up in the market for me as normal, such as:
- GO Launcher EX
- ezPDF Reader
- SwiftKey X Beta
And those are just the apps at the top of my market page.
I'm running Market 2.2.6 (my ROM details are in my sig) and as I stated, everything was working fine until yesterday evening, and I haven't done anything that I can think would've caused this to happen. I've tried killing the market and clearing the market cache, as well as re-installing the market in xRecovery.
Does anyone have an xRecovery zip of a newer market version I can try, or have any suggestion as to what may be causing this?
+1
same here
So, after tryying to clear both the Market cache and data with no luck, I found a copy of a flashable Market 2.2.7. I installed it in xRecovery (seems to work fine, verified that it was indeed installed through system settings), cleared the cache and data (again) and yet still no luck. The exact same apps simply don't show in the market (searching won't find them, and I can't open their pages from the "My Apps" list, which does show them as installed).
I also tried using Market Enabler. Neither the settings for "[us] Verizon" nor "[ca] Rogers" fixed it either, unless I'm doing something wrong.
Go in to your market settings and make sure the maturity filter is set to 'show all apps.'
This same thing pissed me off for months, and no one had the answer. Hopefully this works for you, too.

Interesting. I'm not sure what my maturity setting was before (it seemed to be unset), but when I switched to "All", the problem persisted. When I then tried "Mature", everything is showing now.
Much thanks! It was driving me nuts.
I just noticed a very weird issue on my sgs2: YouTube app does not work.. I can't view any video. Search don't work. Can't even load up my favorite... it always shows "there was a problem connecting to the network" . Also, when using the browser, trying to connect to connect to www.youtube.com also yield "data connectivity problem. The server failed to communicate. Try again later." I know that the YouTube server is fine... YouTube site and app works perfectly on my galaxy tab 10.1. I'm not sure what could be wrong on my phone... please help!!!!!
I'm not sure if this is related but.... last week my phone had an issue all of a sudden... the Google account stopped working, I couldn't connect to gtalk, gmail don't work, internet browser works but just none of the Google services work. I researched online and found that using an app to fix this issue: htchost. I ran it and it fixed all my Google account issues. I haven't used YouTube at all these days so I'm not sure if this is at all related.
I just tried to run htchost on YouTube but doesn't fix this issue... anyone know what may be causing this??
I'm using xxkg5 ROM with ninphetamine 2.1.3 kernel. Thanks!
have you tried just uninstalling it and reinstalling from market?
YouTube came pre-installed... I can't uninstall it
Check the date and time on your phone. If it doesn't work I guess you'll have to titanium backup your phone and wipe data and cache. Maybe just update the ROM as well.

I'm not too sure what you mean by check the date and time. It's set automatically by the carrier network and it is correct. BTW I updated YouTube from the market, still makes. No difference.
ok I figured out why... it's my hosts file being screwed up by the app... manually editing the hosts file and removed the entries for YouTube fixed the problem

Advice would be to wait for sometime and might be the problem get solved by its own..
Otherwise what you can do is to login to market.android.com with your google credentials and download apps from web market, it will work surely.
It happens with me too sometimes but get resolved by its own.
I prefer downloading apps via web market.
downloading from website is the same as downloading with phone, because the website only works for choosing apps that you want to install, so it will not work for me cause my phone won't do the download. I've tried it.
thank you for reply though..
D'Oh! Thank you to everyone who read this. Simply clearing the cookies prevented the site from redirecting me to nirvana. Sorry for wasting your time!
I'll keep this here though, so anyone else suffering the same situation can find it.
Hi folks,
I'm afraid this is one of the rare ocassions for me when intense googling doesn't reveal a proper solution - or I'm missing the proper search terms.
I recently installed then uninstalled the app "Doodle Scheduling", the Android App to use the popular Doodle.com Meeting Planner.
The app offers an option to redirect any link related to Doodle back to the app, so that you can use the app instead of the website when someone mails you a Doodle link. (This basically works like Play Store links, when the browser asks you, wether youd like to open them in the Play app or in browser.)
While this option worked pretty well (actually the only feature of the app that worked as expected) I decided to dump the app, as it is probably the worst app I ever encountered.
Contrary to any other Android app that uninstalls without leaving any traces on the device, the Doodle app decided to keep the browser redirect hook. Now whenever I try to open a Doodle link the URL changes from "http://..." to "doodle-redirect://..." and the browser displays an error message like "You are not allowed to open this site" (My error message is in German).
Where in the android system are those redirect hooks managed? I'm rooted, so I 'm able to change config files all over the system. I'd be more than happy if someone could provide me with a hint, since at the moment I'm not able to use doodle at all from my phone. I am not willing to erase browser data as all my bookmarks would go down the drain as well...
Details if needed:
Motorola Defy
CM7.2
Stock Browser
Miren Browser (Problem exists in both browsers, Stock browser usually freezed via Titanium)
Thank you very much in advance,
modmatt

this type of settings is usually reset by going to Settings/Applications/ and pressing the "Clear defaults" button in the individual app settings, maybe the same trick would work in your case - ie. you could try to reinstall the app, and clear it's defaults before uninstalling?
Thank you for your solution. Unfortunately that was not the thing, as I hadn't had that application installed so I couldn't clear any defaults.
However I found the solution and wrote it above the first post.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to read my post!
I've rooted my G3 and have had issues with pages not displaying in full site views @ all (e.g. Accuweather) or incorrectly (e.g. Google Play) for some time now. I get "Server Error...Connection refused...Error 500" when trying to display pages in full site views in Chrome and Dolphin browsers. Other sites, like Google Play display incorrectly/wonky in full site and mobile views, meaning almost in a pure text view, no page search bar, etc. Also, I've noticed when going to the Weather Channel site, the page language displays English and Chinese/Japanese = odd. I've done a factory reset and still have this issue. I know this wasn't a problem before but I don't know if the rooting or use of of post root apps have done the damage. Right now, all I have are some basic rooted apps - ES File Manager, Cerberus, AdBlock Plus, SuperSU Pro, Titanium Pro, Webkey, Widgetroid, and Tasker. I've searched for answers and even went to LG for help, but nothing is resolving this issue. I'm @ a loss of what to do...anyone help, please?
What browser? I've had weirdness with the AOSP browser(s), never used Dolphin, Firefox, etc.
Chrome, both stable release and beta, work fine, altho I generally do not prefer full site view. If Chrome, perhaps try deleting Data then completely uninstall via Root Explorer / ES File Mgr by deleting the .apk in System/Apps, reboot, and download Chrome from Play Store.
It's the default browser with the phone, which is Chrome. I've tried Dolphin to see if it was Chrome and the same issues show up. It's odd that these problems didn't pop up until recently. I first noticed it when I tried to go from the Accuweather app to a detailed forecast via the app and noticed the full version webpage would not show. The more I looked into the issue, the more sites I noticed similar problems along with the newer issues mentioned.
Will the uninstall/reinstall create any issues since it's the default browser of the phone? I don't know if other parts of the ROM will falter when I try that fix.

Have you tried disabling the ad blocking? I have had problems (on a previous device) like this with certain ad blockers in place.
