I had a missed called,
Looking all over the place to find out what time I missed the call,
Impossible to find this information?
I can't believe for Google Progress means Regress
Some suggestions online send you to
Recents | Call Histrory | Long Press on the number
All I see is
- Number
- Copy Number
- Edit number before call
- Block/report spam
- Delete
What am I missing? Even if it is somewhere that I missed, the fact that I have to search the internet and then post about it just to able to get a basic information about a call says a lot about Google.
Should be in the dialer under 'Recents'.

Should be, but it is not.
This is all I see

So you don't have anywhere like this:
Yeah I see recents, then I see a list of recent calls
All it says is `Sat` for when was the call
I want to know the time.
So I long Press on the call in question and I see the screenshot above.
Do you see the time on your phone?
It seems to only show the current days time for calls. However if you click on the middle of the call you want the time for in recents you end up with this:
Then click history and you've a full list of the calls from that contact.
Thank you,
@ Google, Insanely intuitive (sarcasm)
On my Pixel 6, I can see the date/time of the call by going to Recents > Short-press the number > History. The Day and time are shown at the bottom of the screen.

Hello, i installed rocketdial on my Galaxy3 with indroid 4.1. The problem is that in the dialer mode there is no picture beside the number of the contact. The example picture shows some thing else.

Is there a way i could fix that?
Hi, that is because you did not have "Only show contacts with phone number" checked in RocketDial settings, you can check it through Settings-->Contacts related settings--> Show contacts with phone number.
Tried it. Still the same problem. I have installed 2.7.0 still the same thing. When i press the phone icon on my homescreen and go to rocketdial there are only the names and the icon for received or missed or called information(blue red green) I want to see the contact photo, if he has one.
do you mean the call history screen ?
The contact photo is added in version 2.7.6 , please try the latest .
The Confirmation Box that pops up each time you select a contact is annoying! Wish there were a way around this
While at the dial pad screen:
Menu/More/Settings
Advanced Feature settings
Enable call Confirm
I think turns this off.
I'd like to see the option of selecting a different phone number to call from this contact here; also the ability to make the picture smaller with other options.
Just a thought, hope it helps
Yes, you can disable call confirm by going to settings--> Advanced Features--> Call Confirm and disable it .
You can actually select different number to dial by long click on the contact and select "call" , then you will be able to select the phone number .
Rocketdial help
How do we delete contacts in Rocketdial?
I long press contact name and select "Delete" then I see it say
"deleting contact failed".
The contacts I am trying to delete are those from AT&T like "AT&T Music ID"
and all the other AT&T contacts I see in Rocketdial.
I even tried deleting normal contacts with the same results.
Thanks.
Well i know where it is. It's in the number/signs button in the left corner. But it used to be next to space on arc. I mean it's a key you use all the time when you text. First ss is from a text message. Second ss is from the browser where the keyboard is deffrent and the period button is next to space. Theird ss is from some settings where the period is also there. And the keyboard is abit deffrent again.
So my question is. Is this the same on your devices? Or did i miss something? Can i change the look of the keyboard in mail and sms. Without downloading a completly new keyboard.

Hi,
I'm guessing you also have a Danish phone? I'm not sure as to why it isn't displaying an period, because it do so by default on my phone.
Try calling Sony's Xperia support on 70203603. If you didn't get any SmartTags, you'll also be able to get them for free here.
Is normal, can't really do anything about it...
The best way to enter a period is to either press space and select it from the autocomplete bar, or just press space twice.
Another method is to use the character pane. You can now tap, drag to a symbol and then release to enter symbols with one tap/swipe.

Yes it's a danish phone. I just called the number. And he told me the most easy way was to hit space twice after you finished a sentence. Then it make a dot and a space so your ready for the next sentence.
I told him about that i didn't got any NFC tags. So i just gave him the IMEI number and he will send me 4 tags in the mail for free.
So you deserve a Thanks
Hi,
Just flashed a Jelly Bean ROM to my wife's I9000 and it seems that there is now a very annoying feature. The 'Complete Action Using' popup menu now requires an extra click to load the app you want.
Previously you had the option to select an app to perform a certain function, for example to make a call you could choose Phone, Skype or Viber etc., you also had the option to set this choice as the default so you would not get asked the question again. In this instance, my wife (and me as well) would not want to select a default action as to which app you would use to make a call as this would depend on who you were calling, network connection etc.
Now, on Jelly Bean, if you don't set a default action, you are forced to press 'Just Once' every time you want to start an app from this menu, doubling the amount of clicks than before.
Is there any workaround for this?
Thanks.
*bump*?
I'm just struggling with the same annoying semi-'feature' :/
+1
Very annoying feature. Anyway to change it?

@.wojtek,
Have you received anything from google regarding this issue? My wife's really bending my ear about it now. Might have to go back to ICS, just because of this!!!
no, unfortunatelly not... and I think I won't at all. The only solution will be probably to star the issue on the google code and make a 'fuss' on the internet about it...
Jelly Bean Anoying defult "complete action using"
Man.. how annoying.,
could someone please make a patch. if one doesn't already exist
You can double tap the desired program and it will launch that as the once only selection. Or you can try a Rom that has restored the single tap behavior PAC has this so you only need to tap once to select the once only option.

What are you all using for Call Blocker?
I was using RCB (Root Call Blocker) but found out that was locking up and causing the random reboots. I would be trying to text and RCB would pop up needing root access again and again and then reboot the phone.
Also after it would have an update it would turn off the cell service until you went through the setup process all again.
Got tired of that

Mr. Number has been working excellent for me! It alerts me if the number comes from a number that has been marked as spam, and you can mark numbers as spam.
I can, with one click, block a number.
Its excellent!

That sounds good. Can you block a whole area code or like the area code and then first three of a number with strings?
Example... 999* or 999-456*
UPDATE.
I just installed Mr. Number and it looks like you can block just area codes and such just use the block number that starts with.
Thanks for the share...

ive been using call master and it has lots of options
I am using the one from Xposed called Blacklist. So I am rooted of course. Very happy with it but Mr. Number is looking good. Going to check that out.
My Pixel 1 running the latest stock ota Pie build (pq3a.190801.002) apparently still has no way to filter unknown callers by default. Seems like this should just be a basic feature built into phones at this point. And I assume newer Pixel models don't have it either, since the software is basically all the same. Since "DND" is just a glorified silent mode, that means every spam call interrupts music (which I normally have going 10-12 hours out of the day). Sheesh. I appreciate my Pixel phone because using it means I don't have to trust yet another phone company with primary communications device. Since I want to maintain a trusted boot environment, my only option seems to be... trusting a third party app to block unknown callers. Now I just have to find one that won't violate my privacy. FML:

I found exactly one app [1] that required purchase, and then found out that it is no longer developed and doesn't work anymore after purchasing it. Cool. I've looked at half a dozen others and they all have invasive "features" such as automatic lookups for everyone that calls me. This guarantees they are sending information about every call I receive back to themselves to process this. Cool.
At this point I'm starting to assume my best option is to give up and buy an old flip phone.

Ooh, thanks for the solution. I've put it on my wishlist to think about it before pulling the trigger to buy it. I get at least one spam call a day. And spam text like every week. I hate it. How's the app doing for you? Still no more spam calls?
