i usually use Super Su for rooting, both on my main phone (Galaxy note 4) and on this Note 1.
Should i switch to Magisk?
Also i saw that there is / was an Emmc "Brick" bug with any GT-N7000 Android 4 ICS Kernel, which says that if i wipe my device after upgrading from Android Gingerbread i might get a brick, was this only for ICS and it isn't a problem for Android Jelly bean or Lollipop? or does this bug still exist?

It wasn't a problem of getting the files. It was a problem of zipping it and uploading from my MacBook Air. We can zip directly from Finder, but it makes a strange zip file that is screwed up. Anyway the one with systemui.apk is now available and as of now I'm zipping the one without it. Also will be working on a series of ROMs called S ROM for the HTC One X, One X+, One, and the Galaxy S 3, but will at first prioritize on the AT&T and International versions first.

This is more of a library of important Galaxy features. You flash it like it's a ROM, or if you're making a ROM you paste the files into the following directories.

What exactly is GE? Anyway it should work on most devices without systemui.apk, but to enable the features should pop up in the notification center.

GE stands for Google Edition as mentionned by the guy before me. I know that 4.2.2 still has the tw framework but I'm not sure about 4.3 which is what I'm on right now. I miss my samsung crap but I don't wanna go back to the lagfest that is touchwizz. Would it work on an aosp rom?

There's working Air Command in Phantom Rom thread in this post. But first you have to ask the developer, @wesamothman whether you can use it in your rom.
The other thing is that if you have stock rom it's probably odexed and you may have fc or bootloop if you try to install the zip from recovery. I don't know, but you'd better make a nandroid backup. Should work though in deodexed roms.
Personally I would advise you to change rom, e.g. for Phantom Rom or Dr. Ketan Rom. These are great roms with touchwiz.

AirCommand is more than a simple app to install, so if you want to use it I recommend any custom rom with this N3 feature included.

as far as my knowledge there is no way of getting air commands without custom ROM's.
I my self using Dr. Ketan v.7.3 ROM. Better prefer Dr ketan rom as there are lot of extra features and tool box included.

i recently bought a Doogee turbo mini f1 smartphone.
The phone has the new Mediatek MT6732 (64-bit) processor and running Kitkat 4.4.4.
I wanted to install Xposed framework on the phone but i aborted it because i got a message in red saying "There seems to be a known problem ("Aliyun OS") with your ROM. Installing Xposed might not work or lead to severe problems.
How can i check if yhe phone is really running Aliyun OS, because everything seems like normal Kitkat? I can't seem to find any info about how to check this.

Use twrp, search in google " twrp-3.0.2-0-20160407-P024.img "
ROM is almost fully working , doesnt work double tap wake up and even some minor features. You can backup you stock rom via twrp, or instal update .zip from official Asus site.

stupid question but Pokemon Go doesn't work with latest version (0.37). It says OS is incompatible (and ROM has been de-rooted, this was verified).
Using an old AMCHA version (Android 4.4.4), Pokemon Go works great with 0.35... but for now. When this version will be desactived, there will be no way to play anymore.
Is there a ROM, official or custom, working with Pokemon Go 0.37 and future versions ?

I've tried using Xposed and Rootcloak to hide my root, but PokemonGo 0.37 keeps on a constant logging loop and does nothing else. I've tried un-root but it's more of the same. Reading XDA forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/mod-magisk-v1-universal-systemless-t3432382 it appears to be a solution, but with a stock ROM which I don't want to change. I'm writing this here in case it helps you. If any other solution appears, PLEASE share, thanks! hehe
