Hi there, daughter got a P20 lite but is not happy with the music volume settings. Previously she had a ZTE phone and there were three times more steps to adjust the volume with the buttons. Is there any way to change this? (Phone is rooted).
Thanks.

Hello,
- product/etc/prop/local.prop
- find the line 'ro.config.vol_steps=xx'
- change the value to higher (I have 40, for example). 100 is max.

Hi @-Alf- ,
I don't have that line on the Mate 10 lite. Should I add it there? (A7 stock).

back button needs root , right?
No, Back Button doesn't need root.
But Settings Button (three dots) needs root.
Working fine
Thank you, i was looking for this for a long time.
Hello,
Is there any way to replace the captive Keys with software buttons? Is this possible without root?
No it is not possible without root, as to make this happen, you need add a line in the end of build.prop
Yeah, there should be a option in the Settings Menu to enable on screen button's which will disable the capacitive buttons.
That can be easily done by honor if it wants to

You didn't get my idea it seems
I meant it can be easily done from honor's side, by releasing an update with a toggle for software buttons (On/Off)
As for us, only root will make this happen now but, by modifying build.prop

Hello everyone, I have a problem after installing TWRP (Honor 9 STF-L09). The left and right capacitive buttons do not work but the blue lights come on. The middle one works normally. Any idea to solve this?

Here's the TWRP Recovery adapted by Can Xin from Chinese 7to forum.
It's the same recovery adapted for Nokia 5.
Guide of flashing custom recovery and rooting: https://forum.xda-developers.com/no...de-how-to-flash-custom-recovery-root-t3702354
When you attempt to root Nokia 5, load official firmware for Nokia 5 instead.
UPDATE: Uploaded screenshots.
NOTE: I was using Nokia 5 prototype device, which doesn't have Nokia logo on the screen. However, the hardware specification is totally the same to retail devices.
Hey man, is it working? Can you put some screenshots? :|

In fact the screenshot it the same to the recovery for Nokia 6. You can take a look to the guide I posted on Nokia 6 Development forum.
Is TWRP only for TA-1004 as the name of file says? I have TA-1053, wondering about the chances of brick.
Wait a minute! TA-1004 is Nokia 8. Are you sure you wanna take the risk?

I can confirm it works. BUT. My widgets from home screen disappeared and there is no way to add them (long press does nothing). Nor can I long-press on apps in the drawer to delete/add to the home screen.
I do not know if this is TWRP issue, or root or I did anything else to do that, but it doesn't work now
Installed on 7.1.1 (September's patch).

Hey sorry, that was multiple phones and PC's ago.
I have no longer got those files.
I can't remember how the zip files went for those (whether it was packaged as system or within separate folders, but you could check the rom zip and see if they are there
