Question [CLOSED] Xiaomi apps with ads? - Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G

Hi, I am new to Xiaomi and have noticed that File explorer, Downloads, Security apps are with ads. I can remove File explorer and Downloads, but not Security...
Which other apps have ads and how to remove them all?

Is it that hard to use "search" on the forum?
Remove ads from MIUI (stock ROM)
There are several guides floating around to do this. And the best part is you can follow most of them without making big changes to your device -- such as unlocking the bootloader or getting root. it can get a little involved but, luckily, you...

Super User Access and User Supplied Kernels

Hello,
Does anyone happen to know if rooting and then unrooting is safe (I've search with no results). I mean this is in the sense that if you root you get super user access but that also means that the program (such as SuperSU) that you're rooting with gets super user access as well right? What if the problem is collecting your data (contact, texts, etc.)? Also should you trust a factory restore kernel that is supplied through one of these forums? Couldn't it be altered so that it was invasive? Thanks in advance for any information you can pass along, I'm pretty new to this stuff.

Really sir, you need to read some more before you truly brick your device, here is a good start.

This will help you understand the rooting procedure as well as other important info.
You should be worrying more about apps, some of those collect data, and send it everywhere

Yesterday I was able to access the link, today not anymore.
The link is about my new ROM on my redmi 5 Plus
MIUI V9 JX's Wash'n Dish Rom
Did I get banned from my ROM page or do you have the same problem ?
Was I restricted on xda?
Do you have the same problem.

It seems your ROM been removed for some unknown reason, pity it is a great ROM, can't find it anymore.
Some member posted in other thered that rom contain some pirated Warez app that's the reason of deleting the rom.
Any way used that rom such a great rom with smooth and fluidity.
This rom contain NOT some pirated Warez app, it was just and only the ROOT MiExplorer (FREE ON XDA!!!!), but for some reasons the admin does ignore my reply, in this way i decided to delete any of my roms. Maybe i will continue my ROM in indefinite time.

? Enable root access, tweak some stuff and then disable r.a and/or relock bootloader?

Hi everyone !
So, I wish to install LineageOS microG 16 on my new phone. Is it theoretically possible to flash the ROM, gain root access, tweak some settings and then disable root access and relock the bootloader?
My concern is security, and I am not an expert in rooting and so on, hence this question. I would like to fully degoogle Lineage (yes it is paradoxical but I need to be free to install apps I want on Aurora Store), and potentially change the WiFi icons.
Phone: Asus Zenfone 3 ZE552KL
I saw that in https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-3/help/zenfone-3-ze552kl-relock-bootloader-t3578251 it is not possible, but the post is quite old so who knows.
And here https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-3/how-to/updated-unlock-relock-bootloader-t3749456 it talks about stock rom, so I don't know if it applies for Lineage.

Nordictrack Vault

Hello, i am a new nordic track vault owner.. and through google I've been able to get into privileged mode.
For some reason they have restricted workouts on this device.. so i cannot use the vault screen with my bike. I have to purchase a smart tv to put beside it which seems utterly ridiculous.
I can't seem to be able to block the update servers in my firewall not even sure if that will resolve the issue. I just want it to recognize ifit as it would on my phone unrestricted.
Any ideas?
I've also tried kingo root and it failed.
I dont know if it's possible to put a launcher on it ?
Update: I've tried the steps on "if null then" but that didn't work
I also tried the steps here in the treadmill post although the launcher worked, ifit still restricted the workouts based on the device. So i'm not sure how to make it think it's just a regular tablet/phone - as there are no issues playing it there.
Thanks for any help.

Finding kernel/chipset exploits for android rooting

I've been trying to root my Huawei y6 prime for a while now, and after getting to know that bootloader unlocking is a mandatory intermediary process, which itself requires a code during the unlocking process, thus i had to resort to bruteforcing the code but it just doesn't work properly. After some research, i come to realize that some privilege escalation exploits that affects vulnerabilities at the android kernel or the chipsets i.e. android-dirty-pipe and mtk-su, can be used to gain root privileges instead of the "typical" aforementioned one or ready-made android applications.
The question is -if i'm understanding it correctly- How can i find the respective exploits that works for my phone? Is there an index or a more feasible way of aggregating possible exploits that can work with my phone's kernel/android build/chipset/model?
I was skeptic about the fact that being unable to obtain bootloader unlock token is the end of the road as most previous threads claim!

I'd like to know more about this. In bootloader locked phones, what is keeping it locked? Any way to use hashcat or something to crack the bootloader lol
