Hi all, I've given a Huawei Ascend G600, it's sim locked, but I'm getting it unlocked today. My question is it's running on Android 4.0.4 firmware and when I try to update online it says no update available. I'm coming from a IOS background so have no idea what's the latest firmware for Android and if this phone will update to the latest firmware?
Also what can I use as a suite for this phone, I'm on a Mac so something like iTunes? I heard there's Kies but isn't it for Samsung phones?
If I could get this phone upgraded to latest or -close to latest- software I might use it, otherwise it's going into the charity box, I can't even install Periscope.
Cheers
Can anyone help please?
thanks
There's no update for this phone ....I used this for 2 yrs. Then upgraded to lg g3. ... Try rooting it and flash some roms
I have heard on an article on tmonews that the T-Mobile LG Leon will receive the Marshmallow update. Did anyone get it yet? http://www.tmonews.com/2016/12/t-mobile-lg-g4-security-update-lg-leon-marshmallow/

Yes it was supposedly released on December 5, 2016 for OTA push but so far I have been unable to get it I've tried using the LG PC Suit but it just say's I already have the latest version same thing phone route according to T-Mobile the version is 6.0.1 and the update version number is just H345K which seems short and when searching the LG servers I'm not able to even find a rom for the 345 that ends with K the latest version is J so I really don't know what is going on but hoping I will be able to get it soon have you had any luck?
Same here. Phone's update software and LG PC Suite both identify H34510J as current

Hello,
I need help with my S9+ from ATT. It is still stuck at Android 8.0. I am no longer with ATT and am no longer in the US (Asia now). When i try to do a software update on my phone, it says it is already on the latest update.
How am I able to get the latest update? I have yet to try Odin as I am new to it and am scared that it will brick my phone. Is there any firmware and guide on how to put it to my phone? If successful updated to android9.0, how am i going to get oneUI and subsequent updates?
Is it also possible to make my att phone into a phone that is directly bought from samsung store? So that I am able to get updates directly from samsung?
Please advise. Thanks.
Regards

Hello all,
I recently purchased V60 with model number V600TM. I'm outside of US.
And it stuck on Android 10 with security patch on February 2020.
Any recommendation, please?
Can anyone confirm if i can use this method here?

That method using LGUP is totally fine but you need the firmware for 600TM. Android 12 is not available for download from the site yet.
Hello,
received yesterday my unit with Android 10 and with exactly you issue: unable to apply the downloaded OTA update.
There are 3 types of TM software otas or roms, there is tmobile, us cellular, and canadian so make sure you downloed the rom that has the initials TMO next to it.
I updated my TM version v60 to A12 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/lmv600tm-restore-ugrade-guide-a12.4447457)
After that I can get OTA but cannot install successfully (P.S. bootloader is unlocked and the device is rooted)

Thanks for the input.
Does the partition restoring way affects the installing of OTAs?

Use a vpn and you will get updates
Let me repeat myself:
If you are rooted, OTA will not happen. Your phone will download the update but not complete the updating. The advice to use LGUP for partition restoration will NOT help! First, you will lose your rooted status and two, OTA will not succeed. Bringing you back to square one.

sure, LG is alway hard about firmware.
I have Oneplus phone, its had super partitions a/b like V60 (and modern android phone). On Oneplus 8 pro, i can download and install while keeping root it self, easy as f.

I'd assume your phone is running T-Mobile software, correct?
I think they re-released it again. I converted to the unlocked ROM so I can't tell.
