Yes it works, risks are if you don't have Slot B filled (didn't take a update on stock or flash copy ab partitions zip) you can brick.

Ok so when I flashed my boot.img for root I remember flashing to to boot_a and boot_b is this the same thing (not exact command but it went something like fastboot flash boot.img boot_axxxx
Not same, if you took an ota on stock you are good

Do you happen to know if this ROM works on the moto g8 (moto g fast: this is how it came out in the USA)? Sorry, I was looking and I can't find anything for my device.
I have a Moto G Play 2021 Guamna and have taken the following steps.
1) unlocked the bootloader
2) enabled USB debugging
3) downloaded aosp_guamna-img-eng.electimon-Feb-Week3.zip
4) changed the name to aosp.zip
5) rebooted to fastboot and typed the following
fastboot -w
fastboot update aosp.zip
I get a bunch of "archive does not contain *.sig" but it continues on and eventually says it's completed. When I reboot the phone I can see the screen is on, but it's blank. I can use ADB shell and see that there is a unix looking file structure.
I have no idea what to do next. Any information anyone can give would be helpful. I don't mind factory resetting or using the Lenovo rescue tool, I bought this phone to learn on.

This ROM is in a W.I.P state, don't expect 100% stability (or even smoothness, battery, etc).
The are probably bugs that i'm not aware of, to report them, open the Log Report app, click on Record Logs and record MobileLog/BasicLogs. After that, reproduce your bug, stop recording and send the zip to me.
Magisk isn't supported at this moment, if you want to have root access, flash SuperSU.
This DOESN'T come with root, you've been warned.
Download Kernel Adiutor if you want to have a better control of the kernel.

A "hack" was required in order to build the rom correctly, the was done by adding these two properties to our build.prop.
Currently, our init (the process that manages all processes) already does that, so I'm uncertain if it will correctly set if these two properties are already there.

As said in https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74376101&postcount=3. I don't know how the init process will behave if you doesn't have ghost_retail, if it will boot.. and setup the radio properly, but please, test it.

everything works pretty good .As you know the magiks has upadted to 24.1 so the safety net has been removed so pleased can you give the solution
On my panther everything seems to work fine too (bluetooth audio same) but I still can't install any gapps. After factory data reset, sideload lineage, sideload gapps (mindthegapps12arm64,nikgapps12arm64) and reboot i can only configure lineage and can't add google account.

Important Information
1. This ROM has nothing related to ODM images! So you don't need to ask/install anything like that, just follow the instructions.
2. GCAM Supported, but Unstable. (BSG-MGC 8.1)
3. You need to flash Stock Android 11 before flashing this ROM.
4. For VoLTE, you need to boot into stock firmware and enable it before flashing this ROM!
5.If you cam from SODP ROMs, you need to go back to official Android 11 firmware, and boot into launcher.
6.This ROM works fo both dual and single models.
7.This ROM works on Japanes Version with Android 11 Vendor & Unlocked Bootloader (tested on SO-01M / docomo Ver & SOV41 / AU Ver)

How to flash
Make sure you upgraded to Official Android 11.0 from Sony
Unlock bootloader is necessary.
Download latest platform-tools from google
1. Install google's usb debug drivers.
2. Download PixelExperience Recovery from above.
3. Put your device into fastboot by holding volume up key.
4. Type the following command to flash the recovery:

5. Hold power key and volume down key, you will boot into recovery.
6. Sideload the ROM package.

1. it seems that elmaleek is no longer updating the rom because he has changed devices, I contacted him directly outside the forum, and also initially I was only going to build the Pixel Experience Plus version, but I might as well build the regular type, so the difference, almost nothing except Plus version and update Security patches.

ahhh ok, if you do make another rom with minimal google apps I would love LineageOS or something similar, I have just got into building AOSP's from source using the SODP so I am very new to ROM compilation.

I'm also still monitoring sodp and it seems for now it's not stable.
I see a lot of bugs on github that haven't been resolved, here on the other hand I'm really waiting for Kernel 4.19 to be stable.
hope Miuistone can finish it soon considering he is very active there.

miui dialer and other apps may not work as intended on aosp
Backup in Google photo unlimited original quality isn't working. Maybe not spoofed as pixel xl? Doesn't work on storage saver either. I'm on vanilla version.

Try to update arrow 11 to arrow 13 but get error and somehow `/sdcard `not show my files after that.
After restart, I can see internal memory again

Newer (post Feb 2023) ArrowOS and P404 uses dynamics partitions/retrofitted. Needs a specialized recovery to flash.

It's seems to be an February Security Patch bug from Google. I hope the next patch fixed it.
Does BLE work in this ROM? I found that other A13 ROMs for the Note 9 had problems connecting to BLE devices like Smartwatches

Is there a way to adjust the AOD brightness? The AOD is way too dim, barely readable in 30cm distance, and I cant locate any settings related to the AOD brightness. Thanks
Awesome ROM. I do note that the charging speed is very very low. Is there anything we can try to fix?
I sucessfully installed the rom and had it running for 3 Months, after which my Note 9 suddenly went off and woldnt boot to system, recovery or download mode any more. It powers on, shows the android logo and afterwards the orangefox recovery logo and stays there.
-I cant factory reset, as I cant boot to recovery
I cant reinstall, as i cant boot to download mode
- As for now phone is a brick
Any help will be appreciated. Thx
