S21 5G snapdragon - G991U - Samsung Galaxy S21 Questions

Hey, maybe some can answer this for me?
I have the S21 SM-G991U (snapdragon), purchased from USA, using it in Europe.
There is no OTA update for android 12 and I am not sure why???
So, I wanted to flash it via ODIN, but I am not sure what version of firmware to download.
When I use *#1234# > it shows me this CSC: G991UOYN4AUIN
When I use the "Samsung Phone INFO" app, the "Active CSC code" is GCF (screenshot attached).
Could someone answer this for me and tell me what firmware version I could download? Or why there is no OTA yet?
Also, I have read that I could flash G991U, like this one??? >>> LINK, but it is not 5G?
Thank you!

[Help] Please help me identify firmware for this unknown version of galaxy s9+?

Hi all,
I bought this snapdragon version of s9+ in canada and it says sm-g9650. It came with Chinese version of samsung apps. I researched on XDA and found out that this might be hongkong version, so I followed this guide at https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s9-plus/how-to/g9650-snapdragon-csc-change-stock-t3815136 and i tried to flash G9650ZHU2ARE6 version(ZTO)
But I get secure check fail pit error.
Again , I researched on Internet to find out that this error occours because of mismatch of pit file.
Now I am confused about which firmware to flash.
I just want to get
1. All apps in english
2. VoLTE working.
Please find attached images of my device:

Looks like South American version, maybe?

Samsung S9 Plus SM-G965U1 (Sprint Unlocked) One UI Update

Hello Everyone,
I have Samsung galaxy S9 SM-G965U1 (Sprint Unlocked variant currenty running on 8.0 Oreo Build.
Its USA Region model but currently being used in Pakistan, I believe thats why I am not getting new One UI update.
Now I want to install the One UI 9.0 Update manually via Odin but I don't know which version to install.
It is currently running on G965U1UEU3ARG7 build, when I checked with Smart Switch it was showing "Software is up to date RG7(XAA)". As per my knowledge I should search Sm-g965u1 on SamMobile and then select Unknown (XAA) in country for the right version of One UI build but I am not sure.
I would appreciate if you guys please check CSC and frimware details and suggest the right version for my Galaxy s9 Plus.

Thanks for the response, but in XAA too there are 3-4 frimware, which one should I install considering my device current CSC and Frimware version.
Thanks,

If your using a Sprint phone that is unlocked you can choose the newest one under the Sprint (SPR) filter or the XAA filter. In either case CSD4 is the latest version released
If you look at the firmware using the links below (XAA and SPR filter) the CSC entry you listed s always gonna start along the lines of G965U1OYM for the G965U1 phone. The number after the letter M is going to represent the bootloader version, and that increases to a higher number over time. The final 4 characters are going to be related to the android version.

Thanks for the detailed response, I really appreciate it. Since, RG7 (XAA) is already installed as per Smart Switch then I will go with the following; I believe it would work just fine with my Ufone network in Pakistan?
Model SM-G965U1

Country Unknown (XAA)

Build date Fri, 12 Apr 2019 01:29:40 +0000

Also, please suggest the right ODIN version to install this firmware, would appreciate if you please share the link to the right version of ODIN for my Galaxy S9+ SM-G965U1 for Android 9 update (G965U1UES4CSD4 ).

Question Canadian A52 5G SM-526W Call recording CSC

Hi,
I'm able to flash the Canadian A52 5G SM-526W with the stock firmware successfully using Odin both the complete firmware and just the CSC.
I tried to flash with SM-A526B, SM-A525M, SM-A525F unsuccessfully, it fails every time for the complete firmware or just the CSC.
Can anyone direct me to which firmware I can flash to this phone to activate the built in call recorder?
Thanks!
Indian/INS firmware should likely have it, but don't flash A525 firmware on the A526, you'll have problems.
I did try flashing with the A525 firmware but it just fails.
How can I use the Indian/INS firmware to add call recording to my phone? I tried to use just the CSC file with Odin from A525 firmware and that failed too.
You could try using the XSG (United Emirates Arab) firmware. I have it on my J7 Pro and it has the call recording function, not sure if it is the same for the A52 5G.
I'd suggest you flash the original firmware that came with your device first, then only flashing the CSC from the XSG firmware to see if you get call recording.
And use Frija to get the firmware, just go into its settings and turn on "Binary Nature" option for it to download the 5 part firmware instead of the 1 part firmware.
Sorry my bad, I didn't know there was a SM-A526W for the Canadian market only. I was thinking that your's was a SM-A526B, which is the international version. I don't know if the A526W will accept the A526B firmware, it might work or it might brick your phone.
Thanks for the help, it wouldn't accept the CSC from the SM-A526B firmware or the entire firmware already tried that. Any other suggestion?
Then no, you're pretty much stuck. I don't know whether any of the other Canadian firmwares have call recording enabled.
None of the Canadian firmware's have call recording and I have tried a number of different CSC using the *#272*IMEI# method which are available in the firmware. Guess its a no go

You dont have to change the CSC, just flash an unbranded EUX rom.
DTM is, where the phone was activated, if i remember it right.
If i flash a orignal EUX Firmware.
I still have waranty and the status is official ?
Should i go with Odin ?

Use this tool to get your phone's supported CSC list (under ADB commands tab). Then in the main tab you can change your CSC.
Takes seconds, for me no data was wiped and OTAs work perfectly. Changed on both my S22+ and my Tab S8+.
Is your phone SM-906U1 ?
From which csc to which csc did you change?

Why do you change CSC from XXV to ILO ? what are the benefits ?
I have same model SM-906E XXV/XXV
Does it allow showing "EOM Unlock" option in Developer mode for BL unlock?
(OXM) firmware => Multi-CSC
CSC country code listed: https://fixyourandroid.com/how-to/samsung-csc-codes/

I bought my phone in Vietnam, but live in Israel and preferred to have my local CSC. I don't know if I could use VoLTE or WiFi Calling without changing it.
And yes OEM Unlock is an option for me under Developer Options.
Since different people are asking different questions, let me post what I know and can help you.
1. You are trying to change CSC from A to B which belongs to same model, can be easily done using SamFW tool or you can also try Samsung shell exploit from S22 forums.
2. U to U1 can be cross flashed using patched odin, which will change csc too.
3. If you are trying to do cross flashing means your model no doesn't match the model no of CSC you want to have like XAA to INS then sorry it's not possible.

Question Flashing europe firmware on a usa model

Hello,
I have a S23 Ultra ( SM-S918U) - USA model with at&t boot logo and I'm using it in Romania, Europe. So far so good except a few settings specific (maybe) to usa firmware: the missing data icon on notification list, missing network mode ( I can't manually switch from 5g to 4g).
1. Can I flash an europe firmware from sammobile via odin (SM-S918B - I think) over the usa firmware ?
2. Will I lose e-sim doing the above ?
3. What are the disadvantages of doing the above ? I read somewhere about high battery consumption
Also, on Sammobile there is no RO firmware. What firmware should i pick ? This one ?

Absolutely not. If you try to flash the BL and CP files from a different device variant, you risk a permanent brick.

Again, you could brick your phone.
The best thing to do is use multi-CSC U1 firmware, such as OXM. This probably won't be necessary though as the US firmwares typically overlap with many other CSCs.
Flash S918U1 XAA CSC using patched odin. You can't flash S918B firmware on it, odin will fail right before it flashes anything. Use HOME_CSC to preserve data and eSIM.
