I just share my experience. Do it at your own risk
I. Unlock bootloader
1. Enable developer options by tapping build number 7 times
2. Go to Developer options, turn on OEM unlocking
3. Turn off Tab A7 Lite, connect it to the computer while holding Volume Up and Volume Down keys until you see the bootloader screen
4. Long-press Volume Up key to enter Device unlock mode
5. Press Volume Up key to confirm and unlock the bootloader
Done
II. Root
1. Unlock bootloader (skip this if you have done it)
2. (On PC) Extract boot.img.lz4 from Stock AP...tar file, then copy it to Tab
3. (On Tab) Install ZArchiver to extract boot.img from boot.img.lz4
4. (On Tab) Install Magisk and patch the boot.img that you have just extracted from step 3
5. (On PC) Copy magisk_patched.img (in Tab\download) to pc, rename it to boot.img
6. (On PC) Use 7zip to pack boot.img from step 5 into boot.tar
7. (On PC) Use odin to flash boot.tar from step 6 (in AP slot)
8. After Tab reboot, open Magisk, update to newest version, open again and let it install something then reboot
Done
In case you don't want to do a full step by step as above, you can use my already patched boot.tar below, just download and flash it via odin. After flashing and reboot, open Magisk, update to newest version, open again and let it install something then reboot

Hello,
thank for your work I succeeded with root but I mistakenly installed a faulty twrp which bricked the tablet. I have access to download mode but I can't reinstall a functional version ("security fail tip) the only thing that odin accepts is your great work "patched boot.tar" but the boot still blocks. an idea to unlock it. thanks in advance

I think you should download and flash latest firmware. You can download from this site:
samfw.com
Hello,
thank you for your help i have repaired the boot. it was a question of firmware indeed but beware for tablets version T225 "N" the firmware is not the same and is more difficult to find. they are not offered on dedicated sites.

Unzip the file
Run Odin from the unzipped folder
Browse by clicking AP button the *.md5 file from the unzipped folder
Connect the A320F in download mode (start the device by holding Power+Home+Volume DOWN)
After starting the device in download mode, press Volume UP one to allow the download
A new COM port should be recognized by Odin after the device is connected via USB
Press Start button in in Odin
Rooting will take place automatically and the device will restart twice.
After the first restart you can disconnect the cable from the PC.
Second restart might take a few minutes.
After that you will find the SuperSU app installed.
Other, more complicated methods:
Rooting using custom recovery:
You will need:
SM-A320F with Exynos CPU (waiting for updates on other model)
Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 on your device
Odin v3.0.4 (download link below)
Team Win Recovery Project - TWRP (download link here) or ClockWork Mod Custom Recovery - CWM (download link below)
(Recommended custom recovery: Team Win Recovery Project :good: - more features, newer, works better)
SuperSU-v2.79-201612051815 (latest ZIP version available today - download link below)
SM-A320F TWRP & CWM recovery installation procedure:
On your device enable developer options and then disable OEM lock (FRP lock) for the device to allow you to flash custom recovery
(Activate OEM unlock from developer options menu)
Boot your device in Odin downlaod mode (hold VolDOWN + Home + Power)
Flash the *.tar file of TWRP or for the CWM using Odin's PDA option
(Uncheck Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time)
Force reboot your device (hold VolDOWN + Power for 10 seconds)
SM-A320F SuperSU ZIP installation procedure:
Copy SuperSU-v2.79-201612051815.zip on a microSD card (trough USB data cable or any other method)
Unplug the USB data cable from the phone and shut down the device
Start your device in Recovery mode (Hold VolUP + Home + Power)
(RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCED - this warning is normal when booting into CWM custom recovery but not with TWRP)
The recovery menu will appear
> Using TWRP Recovery:
Swipe to allow modifications
Tap on Install
Tap on Select Storage at the bottom and select MicroSDCard then tap OK
Browse for the SuperSU-v2.79-201612051815.zip and tap on it to install it
Swipe to install SuperSU (confirm Flash)
> Using CWM Recovery:
Select Install zip update package (use VolDOWN/VolUP to navigate and Power to select)
Select Choose zip from sdcard
Select SuperSU-v2.79-201612051815.zip and press Power to install Super SU
The installation will perform automatically and the device will reboot twice.
First reboot will take longer. Please be patient. After the second reboot you will have SuperSU and root.
Downsides/bugs:
Knox will be tripped the second you flash a custom recovery (Warranty void: 1 - non reversibile)
(That means that you will lose the warranty for your device and that can not be changed)
(Perhaps that's why I personally can't invest more than $300 in a Samsung cellphone ever)
You won't be able to use Knox-related functions including Secure Folder ever again
Because of a SuperSU bug you won't be able to use Smart View (Miracast, project the screen to smart TV) unless you make an edit as follows:
Lewdog45 said:
Use a file browser such as Root Browser and go to the root of your device then locate the "System" folder and find build.prop and edit it with any application that can edit it and find the bottom line, right at the edge of the bottom line you need to press enter twice and then paste this:
wlan.wfd.hdcp=disable
And then save it and reboot your device.

Format the SD card on your PC using FAT32 option (use an USB adapter).
Copy the zip on the card, Insert it into the phone and reboot into recovery to test.
Yes... that's what I did. I found the solution into Google.
Thanks anyway for your help.
Do you think that it will be possible to install TWRP instead of CWM in recovery?

Yes. You can flash twrp in cwm and reboot to recovery. Twrp will be there instead.
wich version to choose?
Sorry. There's no twrp for a320 yet, but in general it's working fine to flash new recovery with existing one.
Hey guys, I will receive my a3 2017 soon and I was wondering if it would be preferable to root it now than waiting for the update to Nougat and re-root it then... Any idea when the update will be available for this phone? I was also wondering if I should use a specific brand or type of micro sd card with this phone?
Thanks

Me four. I want to root my A5 2020
Can you boot into bootloader? Cause i can't stay in bootloader mode.
Me 5..
Setting - about phone - tap "version" 7 times
Additional option - developer option - oem unlock bootloader
Tried download ota
Extracted from phone manager.. and got boot.img
But magisk say its corrupted.. maybe it cant read it.. some says to use its recovery.img but i cant find it.. im a noob in rooting so i cant opt to experiment
Tried these things (3rd might be a possiible solution)
1.)
I tried using the OTA update which is a .ozip file, and needs a certain key to be usable (Needs to be decrypted to zip), key differs depending on the device
as for reference:
filedesc.com/en/file/ozip
tried tools such as
github.com/bkerler/oppo_ozip_decrypt
(But with no luck, A5 2020 isn't supported)
2.)
I found something on the web which is the CPH1931_11_A.08_190905_cb4610de.ofp
which i cannot decrypt to get the boot.img file
3.)
If your willing to take the risk, i found this
forum.gsmdevelopers.com/oppo-android-unified/84350-oppo-a5-2020-cph1931-dead-boot-alive-akshay-bhandare.html
which leads to the boot.img here (Just extract then you'll find boot.bin, change the file extension to boot.img (Just replace/rename .bin to .img))
mediafire.com/file/8kb8ilgz0mxaga3/OPPO_A5_2020%2528CPH1931_%2529DEAD_BOOT_ALIVE_BY_AKSHAY_BHANDARE.rar/file
(If link doesn't work anymore, ill upload the one I've downloaded already)
I tried patching this using Magisk and it works, but i haven't tried flashing it to A5 2020
Thank u so much[/QUOTE]

Do i understand, you did try method 3 using the boot.img provided in the link?
You were able to patch the boot.img with magisk?
Did you flash the patched boot.img to phone successfully? If so, its safe to use the boot.img provided in the link?
Are you rooted now?
I really need root in order to get boldbeast call recording working properly with pie 9.

Yes, when use volume up, its keep restarting. When use volume down, its login to coloros recovery mode, not fastboot mode.

Some guidance please, or was your answer just a prank?
Ok, i tried to get in fastboot mode with command adb reboot bootloader. I do get the fastboot logo screen for a second, but then it just loading the OS pie 9, like someone stated here before. I read in some sources, OPPO company disabled the fastboot mode for this phone, so you will not able to flash files using adb. I also read power + volume down = recovery mode (working) and power + volume up = fastboot mode (not working because company disabled this).
I use firmware CPH1931EX_11_A.28. Now the big question: does somebody know, if some older version of firmware has fastboot not disabled by company?
Seems for now, you can only root this phone by using hardware tools like miracle box and easy jtag pro.

I updated to CPH1931EX_11_A.28. Do i need a patched boot.img of CPH1931EX_11_A.28 or can i use any boot.img of all versions?

I also using CPH1931EX_11_A.28 and have exact same bootloader problem.
I manage to extract boot.img from 11_A.13 and 11_A.28 firmwares using "ubuntu ozip to zip" and files appear identical and patched successfully using Magisk. The boot.img provided in the link is not the same, I wouldn't use it.
Did you find out if some older version of firmware has fastboot not disabled by company?
Many thanks for taking time to read reply.

I followed this guide below that I found somewhere in this forum, it is not mine, I just added some notes to it. I recommend searching for the original thread. There could also be a newer firmware version now, please check yours before rooting. It has been almost 2 months since I did it.
Unlock OEM (under developer options)
Boot in download mode (with the tablet powered down, press volume up + volume down and connect USB cable to PC)
Long press volume up to unlock bootloader (you will lose all your data!)
Download the original firmware ( https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-tab-s7/firmware/SM-T970/XAR/download/T970XXU1ATJ4/502568/ )
Flash it using ODIN in download mode (Optional, just to make sure you are using the same image you are going to patch)
Extract boot.img.lz4 from AP_xxxx tar file.
Decompress the lz4 to get the uncompressed boot.img (I had to use a separate tool since 7zip was not able to compress/uncompress the lz4 archive, https://github.com/lz4/lz4/releases )
Copy the file to the tablet
Patch it using the latest Magisk Manager. ( https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk)
Copy the patched boot image back to the PC.
Recompress it as boot.img.tar (rename magisk_patched.img to boot.img then compress as boot.img.tar)
Flash it using AP slot in Odin and reboot tablet. (I had to do a full factory reset)
Install Magisk again
For AdAway to work you will need to enable systemless module in Magisk
You are done! Magisk manager should say now it is rooted. (you will also have a BIG warning every time the tablet is powered on, telling you how irresponsible and despicable you are by modifying the device)
I rooted my Samsung S20 before by following this guide
it is very similar to what is described above.

@simerenya Please use English on XDA Forums. If you want, you can use the translating service of your choice. See the forum rules for more details.
@BigBucha I suggest that you do not link to that particular website for Magisk downloads (or any other website that pretends to be the Magisk website). None of those websites are run by @topjohnwu and in the best case they're just re-hosting the files to get ad-revenues, but in the worst case you'll download a malicious version of Magisk. That wouldn't be good. The only place for sure and safe downloads of Magisk is on @topjohnwu's Github: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk
@Didgeridoohan , understood, thanks! I didn't know about Magisk's official web site, just googled it. I updated my previous post.
@simerenya,
Not sure if I understood your question. I used google translate.
You asked for a screen-sharing session?
I have done rooting of this tablet model only once myself, that was 2 months ago, not sure if I can be of much help to you.
Please try following the guide step by step yourself. If in doubt, I recommend not doing this since you may brick your tablet.
You can post your questions in the forum if you get stuck or brick your device. I will try to answer them.
I was able to root my tablet from the first try.
Good luck.
Is it possible to root Galaxy tab s7+ using Kingroot, kingoroot, towelroot, or any of the other 1 click rooting apps?

Thanks for the instruction. I was finally installed magdisk on S7+ tab. Root check is good. But some app like adaway does not detect root and never ask for root access when installed. Do you know how to solve this?

Not sure about other apps, but for AdAway to work I had to do these steps:
1. Open Magisk
2. Go to Modules (the jigsaw icon)
3. Install "Systemless Hosts" module
4. Reboot and try selecting root mode in AdAway again
Please check this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/systemless-adaway-with-magisk.3733839/

Did you successfully unlock bootloader? My phone was not locked to any mobile carrier. Please paste a screenshot.
Hello friends
I just want to share how to root A21S stock rom in case anybody needs it:
1. Unlock bootloader
2. (On PC) Extract boot.img.lz4 from AP...tar file, then copy it to phone
3. (On phone) Install ZArchiver to extract boot.img from boot.img.lz4
4. (On phone) Install Magisk_patched_for_A21S.apk (thank grccorps for this excellent magisk) and patch the boot.img that you have just extracted from step 3
5. (On PC) Copy magisk_patched-22104_0x2Ov.img (in phone\download) to pc, rename it to boot.img
6. (On PC) Use 7zip to pack boot.img from step 5 into boot.tar
7. (On PC) Use odin to flash boot.tar from step 6 (in AP slot)
Done. Enjoy.
In case you don't want to do a full step by step like above, you can use my already patched boot.tar below, just download and flash it via odin then after reboot install Magisk_patched_for_A21S.apk
For U3:

Ah thanks. Having trouble finding root instructions for mine, and starting to be somewhat sure they don't exist. So many garbagey sites with bad info. This is the only site I ever see the real deal.
Got my SM-A217F rooted first attempt,
So what i did was.....
1) used Frija-v1.4.4 to download my latest stock firmware "SM-A217F_1_20210807114045_mzeyu27v8u_fac.zip"
2) Extracted the zip file and flashed the 4 files with "Odin3_v3.14.4"
3) after that i let the phone restart and boot up entered my google account details etc etc
4) on PC i used winrar and extracted the "boot.img.lz4" file only from "AP_A217FXXU6CUH1_CL21842546_QB42174009_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT_meta_RKEY_OS11.tar.md5"
5) on PC i then used "lz4_win64_v1_9_3" i copied the extracted "boot.img.lz4" file into the "lz4_win64_v1_9_3" folder
6) op PC inside the "lz4_win64_v1_9_3" folder i dragged the "boot.img.lz4" file onto "lz4.exe" wich created a new file "boot.img"
7) copied the "boot.img" file onto my phones internal storage
8) on phone i installed "Magisk_patched_for_A21S.apk" and opened it --> chose "Install" -->"select and patch a file" --> select "boot.img" from step 7 --> normal android way
9) That created a "magisk_patched-22104_0x2Ov.img" file in my phones "download" folder
10) Renamed that "magisk_patched-22104_0x2Ov.img" to "boot.img" on my phone
11) i then used "ZArchiver" and compressed that "boot.img" i just renamed from "boot.img" to "boot.tar"
12) Copied the "boot.tar" file to my pc and renamed it to "boot.img.tar" on my pc
13) On PC i used "Odin3_v3.14.4" and flashed the "boot.img.tar" file to my device, i left "Auto reboot" and "F reset time" ticked
14) after flashing and getting the green "PASS" logo i left my phone pluged into the the pc the whole time while the phone was restarting
15) after phone rebooted i installed "Magisk" with the "Magisk_patched_for_A21S" app --> let it reboot again after install
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
AND THATS IT
ONE A21S SUCCESSFULLY ROOTED
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
NB: thank grccorps for this excellent magisk

Ok, first you have to unlock the bootloader:
Step 1: Download this file and unzip it. https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=7161016148664849473
Once you have unzipped it, go to the mediatekbootloaderunlock folder and go to the drivers folder, right click on the file "cdc-acm.inf" and then click on install
https://www.technobuzz.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Install-MTK-driver.jpg
Once this is done, go back and install usbdk (x64 for 64 bit OS, x86 for 32 bit OS) on your PC).
https://www.technobuzz.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Instal-USB-drivers-1024x450.jpg
Once this is done, restart your computer (important)
Turn off your redmi 10
In the mediatekbootloaderunlock folder open the "UnlockBootloader.bat" file
Once the file is open, press the volume + and volume - at the same time and once this is done, connect the cable to your PC.
Wait until the window closes.
Your bootloader is now unlocked.
Now that the bootloader of the phone has been unlocked, we will flash the new phone rom.
Step 2: Download the phone rom from this site: https://miuirom.org/phones/redmi-10
(I advise you the Indonesian region)
Once the rom has been downloaded, the rom file ends in .tgz, unzip the rom with WinRAR or any other unzipping tool.
WinRAR
WinRAR - the data compression, encryption and archiving tool for Windows that opens RAR and ZIP files. Compatible with many other file formats.
www.win-rar.com
Once the rom has been decompressed, download Mi Flash tool on this link:
MiFlash20200314
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.
www.mediafire.com
Unzip the zip file and open the file miflashtool.exe
Once opened, put your phone in fastboot mode (power + volume -)
Connect the phone with a cable to the PC
Click on refresh, the phone should appear.
Then click on select and select the unzipped rom you made earlier.
At the bottom of mi flash tool, click on clean all and lock, this will delete all data and close the bootloader.
Once this is done, click on flash and wait for it to finish.
If you get an error like: checkpoint is not done fastboot lock or something like that, don't worry, it means it worked.
You now have miui 13, enjoy.
