Same issue in google camera even when I set settings to high quality. It jus doesn't want to shoot a non pixelated image. Why would this be?

It's the mediatek version. ROM is 7.2.5.0. I did the antutu test and it said it was real. I bought it from the big Suning electronic store in China, from the Mi vendor. The camera goes low res as soon as you select panorama, very noticable, almost blurry.

It does exist only 2 options in this caser the device is fake or is a defective unit.Try Atutu Officer to see if pass the test.Mine is SD version 32 GB,but i dont have any problem with camra at all.You must don't have trust in chinese sellers.
Slow motion video also not good

No, it's not fake. I checked with the app. And I went to expensive SunDan centre, they do not sell fake phones, and checked the demo phone's camera - same problem! Very low res.
The rom version you described is not the rom's version. I think it is miui version.
I believe the mediatek one is 13MP compared to 16MP on the SD version, but that shouldn't be a reason for low res, I guess you could try another camera app from google play that supports panorama photo.
7.2.50 seems like an old firmware - or fake vendor/generic firmware
-
Version: V7.5.1.0.LHNCNDE (MIUI7) is the latest - but I don't see a global firmware for this device - only the chinese - which might explain why they put the generic firmware in .

Same problem
Hello, I have same problem with Google camera. I like to pick panoramas but it has very poor quality, even when I set High resolution panorama.
Panorama in default xiaomi app is good, no problem. I have Note 3 with SD/3gb/32gb.
Please, can you help me? Or do you know another app with more types of panorama like Google's one?
Hi,
A very special thanks to B-S-G for making pixel 3 camera port for Poco F1 and
Also Sreekant(XDA senior Member) for letting us know and for links.

Yep. Front camera is where you can notice how bad Stock camera struggles with light exposure. Whereas there's no problem on Gcam.
Please check attached photos, clearly MI 6 wins, even without Gcam. Stock camera HDR on Poco is useless unfortunately
**nevermind
Is it just me or rear potrait mode isn't working?
Front is working like a charm but not rear.

Nice.,,,
Gotta try this one.
Has anyone compared the video quality on both cameras? Which one is the go?
Impressive, really do good job in low light.
Sorry but... Dont know why you All are so happy with the Port. Its slow... Standard Pictures issue to take 2 or 3 seconds... After 3 shots the App halts. Yes the Image Quality is good but there is no WAY to Make serious images with IT...
Will this work on miui 10? I tried clicking pictures with this v6.1 but it was not working

You've probably not configured it probably
Excuse me? I haven’t configured it proberly?
Are you kiddin me ? Sorry I expected to use a camera app as it comes for the device... my fault. You`re right Next time i’m Gonna configure it correct before using it. Didn’t expect it was windows what we were talking about.
I’m fine if you tell me this app needs a pie rom for best usage and indeed i only tried it on Miui 10 beta so far - but on miui10 it sucks. As i installed in in more than one version.
Edit:
I don`t want to miscredit the developer of the app in general. I really appriciate his work here. I would love to use it really - but cant in daily usage. thats all i wanted to say.

How to enable mirror image on gcam?
In settings the front camera says 5 megapixels and can't be changed higher than that. Are the photos in 5 megapixels or is it just a visual bug.
Hi guys,
I tried two A3 phones with September update on it and what I've noticed was the slow camera, when you click to capture the photo there is +/- 1 sec delay.
I've also switched off HDR and AI but was still the same.
My Redmi Note 4 and Samsung S8 takes photos immediately.
Did you experience it or is it fixed already?
yes there is lag in official camera app, use gcam 7, zero lag and better quality

Discuss about the S21 GCam Ports here whenever they're out
Is that the Google Camera? Being a Pixel owner the last few years I would love it if the camera app worked on the S21.

Yeah there are already google camera ports for the S20 and they will probably make it compatible or make a good config with the S21

also GCam might not get ported to the exynos version (or it will but will take more time than the snapdragon version) i'm not sure though
Was able to try out Gcam on a Snapdragon store demo model today. Works similar to S20/Note 20 series in that front camera still doesn't work and Zoran's package fix enables the telephoto cameras to work. Pictures of all 4 rear cameras attached using Wichaya's gcam, might not look the best since I quickly used my S20 Ultra's profile without having time to tweak it.
Is there much benefit to GCam here? Samsung's app looks good from what I've seen.
On my Oneplus 6 it was useful, as the Oneplus app lacks panorama and Googles image processing is better.

It depends on whether or not you like Samsung's image processing. I personally still don't though will admit they have improved over time. The biggest issue is still under lower light, where they have aggressive sharpening and noise reduction. Fine details are often a problem indoors, like hair or fur. The main camera's sensor is pretty large so that helps, but the ultra wide and telephoto sensors aren't so it's more noticeable.
For those curious, I used Wichaya's Samsung Gcam here (3rd one): https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog1501/
I've not used gcam before - you can still just switch between the apps can't you? If so, it'd be good to have both and compare

Got my Snapdragon S21 Ultra and here are my findings so far. It seems Gcam will freeze up more often in low light (you can unfreeze it by switching cameras, but it will freeze again after a few seconds). Telephoto camera and ultra wide are more likely to freeze because they have a smaller sensor thus less light. I've updated my XML for Wichaya's gcam that should work a little bit better.
*UPDATE* seems like setting stream configs helps stability and reduces/gets rid of freezing. Attached is updated XML.

ZGCAM 7.4 https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/f/changelog1340a/
Alright guys, just an update on my findings. It would appear that ZGcam is actually the best Gcam build for the S21 series right now on both Exynos and Snapdragon models. For some reason I can't seem to fully disable focus tracking so autofocus in lower light can be a hit or miss. There are also differences between the models though based on what Samsung has chosen to support and what they disable.
Snapdragon S21 series: Supports all rear cameras (for the S21 Ultra, that includes both the 3x and 10x telephoto). No gcam support video on the telephotos at the moment. Front facing cameras also do not work because Samsung disabled front camera RAW for S10/S20/S21 snap series with the exception for the S10 Lite and S20 FE.
Exynos S21 series: I don't own this but based on reports, the front camera will work! However, the telephoto cameras won't, so Exynos S21 series only support the main and ultra wide cameras. Since I don't have the Exynos model, try the XML for the Exynos S20 here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/working-gcam-and-config-for-s20-exynos.4203625/

I just posted on reddit since it's easier to do captions there. I only posted the telephoto cameras since they have a smaller sensor and benefit the most from gcam in my opinion.
https://www.reddit.com/r/samsung/comments/lb89no
Any chance of the Exynos model getting a gcam port that works with the telephot lenses?
What are your thoughts regarding the main rear camera on this phone? I assumed that it was worse than the camera on Mi 11 and Mi 10T Pro since the sensor is smaller in size and lacks OIS. However this youtuber claim that camera performance on 11i actually is better than on Mi 11. In the comparison below with Mi 11 Pro the difference was also smaller than I expected.
I have Mi 11i now. My first impression is that the camera is disappointing. Will probably send it back. Mi 10 and Mi 11 takes more detailed stills. But have to do some more testing.

Hi guys, regarding the main Mi11i 108MP camera, I'm curently strugling to find out a camera replacement, does anyone has an idea what model to use ? Any OEM reference ?
I have the Mi11i and the camera is great, what are u talking about? This is a budget phone, do u expect iphone 12 pro or S21+U quality?
The camera is better than these devices ive tested: S9+, OP7 Pro, A32 5G, OP 8T, OP Nord 2, Iphone 8, SE, X
Do you use the 108 mode and fiddle with settings? Or do u just use nomal mode and tap and take the photo? Thats not how u take a good photo, thats only for iphone (dumbed down os).
I find the camera fine as long as you do a little editing. Low light and night shots are a little iffy but you can still take great shots as long as you edit the photos. Photos in day light are fine. My old phone was an XS Max and the camera scores better than that in testing. Again edit the photos.
Pictures are almost the same as my mi 10. All ok.

I'm using mi 11i for 2 months and the camera quality is not good, autofocus is struggling in low light.
ofcourse it has no OIS so it ramps up ISO thus useless in low light
I have both Mi 11i och Xiaomi 11T in front of me. 11T takes much better low light shots compared to 11i despite having the same main camera sensor and Dimensity 1200 instead of SD888. Probably more optimized software on 11T.
Camera is good for me it takes good selfie and landscape shots. I was also thinking camera might be garbage and this phone can't be used for photography but I was wrong. It is not excellent nor garbage.
The Camera is good but the stock camera app is really bad, taking pictures with pro mode (manually) or with Gcam is astonishingly good.
but the main camera app over-sharpens and over processes the image resulting in noise.

About cameras, I'm disappointed by the 108 MP photos, as camera (digital) zoom is limited to x2, which is a shame in such a HiRes lens.
Try this!E
