I'm using OnePlus 3T with DivestOs and there is "Files" native android app which allows my to manage Synology Drive as a normal attached server...fantastic!
In my second phone, OnePlus 8 Pro, I have OP File manager and Google Files as stock apps. Both are showing Google Drive only. There is no possibilities to attach Synology Drive.
Question: is there a way to install DivestOs File native app? Or any Android native Files apps File Manager which allows me to see Synology drive.

Does anyone know the apk for the file manager that comes with Archos 101 Gen8 ? I like the UPNP/Network browser on where I can stream videos from my shared drives on the network. Is it possible to get that for other Android devices on the market? I've tried ES File explorer, Astro, etc. nothing is as good as the one from archos.

The file manager is useless on other devices for the purpose you want it.
The upnp browsing is done with djmount and not the file manager.
is there a DJmount type filemanager in the market?

I doubt it because djmount is a linux type program that maps upnp remote dirs to local dirs.

I use this tiny app to access files,music, movies etc on my Qnap NAS
It's sad this useful network app went missing in urukdroid fw.
I doubt it's gonna work on other device but here it is.

I have a media player based on Android JB4.1. I would like to have the following functions:
1. I wanto it to send WOL command to my NAS during startup automatically, so I can watch the movie stored on NAS without manually turn on the NAS PC. Is there any script available to realize it? If yes, how to add the script to startup?
2. I wish to place a shortcut in home screen pointing to the shared folder on NAS so I can just open it and play media files in this folder. Now I have to use file manager, switch from local to LAN and open the share folder, which has too many steps.

This problem is about the Android TV (provided by my "Freebox Mini 4K Player" - France).
There is two component of my Freebox (Internet Box) :
the "server" unit with an external hard drive plugged through USB based on a "private" OS (based on linux - Freebox OS);
the "player" that is my Android TV unit;
I would like to use my AndroidTV to emulate old games (console, computer, etc.).
My Android TV has a very little internal storage (about 5Go). So I would like to store all my ROMs/Emulators on my external drive plugged to my "Server".
How can I access this external drive from emulator App (like ClassicBoy) ?
I can access the external drive on my Android TV using "ES Explorer > Local Network > Scan" and it find it. But, out of ES Explorer, I can't access it anymore.
As a tips : It seems that the link through the Local Network use the samba protocol to join it.

I have NIKAI TV with android 4.4.2 when I opened the android settings I found an option for SAMBA service
it is really excellent and stable used it for 2 years
unfortunately I had to use android box now because the TV installed android OS can't be upgraded but I want extract the SAMBA service app from the TV and install it on the android box
I manged to browse /system/app folder via FTP which contain .odex and .apk files but I can't find the app
I know there is samba app out there but I want this one how I can get that any help

I am looking for a solution to achieve the following, I have a NAS which does not in itself support encryption, I would like to encrypt all the file on it with some sort of application, and then use an explorer app on each android & Windows based device, which will allow me to decrypt the file upon me opening them, what's the best solution, if I was to encrypt the files via Windows with a software of some sort, is there an app for android which, once the decryption key is entered, allows you to browse the files as normal, I currently use solid explorer as a file explorer on my android devices and for NAS access, your help will be much appreciated

Use 7zip what is available for both Android and Windows: It allows to encrypt and password-protect files & folders.
