Anybody know how to change CSC on Android 12? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all...
I recently flashed BTU Android 12 firmware on my XFA Galaxy S10e (exynos). Everything went perfectly, it defaulted back to XFA...
Then tried the same thing on my Galaxy S20 FE (exynos) (also installed the BTU Android 12 firmware), and am now struggling. The firmware first defaulted to Russia (SER). I was able to downgrade back to Android 11 (BL 8 for both) but then the CSC defaulted to Turkey (TUR).
Now, no matter what I do, I cannot get it back to XFA, or anything other CSC for that matter. It's stuck on TUR, no matter what region of firmware I install. Even tried XFE which is not an OXM CSC and it still went back to TUR. And I cannot currently use Samsung Pay.
I cannot use SamKey as my work laptop won't let me install it (Endpoint Security quarantines it).
Does anybody have a reliable method I can follow to change it back to XFA.
I've tried flashing, even using the pit file and doing nand erase with no luck. The codes on the dialer don't work either. I've also tried flashing various firmwares such as BTU and XFE with no luck.

Mine is a Galaxy S20 FE G780F, do you have the same phone as me? I did manage to fix mine, read on to find out how.
This was not easy for me to fix. I tried samkey on someone elses laptop and wasted 2 credits because it did not work. I selected XFA on samkey and it went to SER (Russia). Second time it stayed on SER.
Downgraded to Android 11 XFA, and it got stuck on TUR (Turkey) again. No matter what I tried, it would not change from TUR.
I tried flashing pit files, rebooting with different sim cards, factory resetting many times as well as flashing about 10 firmwares both on Android 11 and 12. Still was stuck on TUR.
I then decided to flash the Australian firmware for Android 12. When the phone booted up, it was actually English. I thought it was fixed, but no, it was then on Indonesia. Atleast everything was English but samsung pay would still not work.
I then flashed the stock XFE (Samsung unbranded - South Africa) firmware and boom!!! When the phone booted everything was back to XFA.
I now have Samsung Pay as well as the latest security update which is not even out yet via OTA.
Only issue I'm experiencing now is bad battery life and the phone heats up a lot with light usage. So I'm still pissed

CSC changing on its own ??

Hi there, got s3 from 3 uk network, my phone kept saying this device is not up-datable though Samsung kies so i flashed lg8 firmware , i then changed the csc to BTU and everything was fine phone was seen as up-datable through kies but now when i go on to get the modem update thats out it seems kies is detecting my phone as H3G again, GRRRR.

CSC change without root?

I bought SGS6E from polish operator Plus - with CSC PLS.
I found polish XEO (i was thinking that):
XEO-G925FXXU1AOCV-20150410142820.zip
flashed via ODIN. Everything went ok. But the CSC that phone show is... TPH for Portugal.
It is possible to change CSC without waiting for new firmware (good) for XEO?
Did you perform a factory reset in recovery as that resets the csc.
Otherwise maybe phone tools Samsung from the marketplace?
On the screen i seen
Appiled multi-csc. Csc appiled: TPH

Hey,
No way to do that. The problem is that even if you download FWs from sammobile that have different CSCs - based on my experience - they will default to something else. On my Galaxy Alpha which originally had XEH I flashed a XEF ROM and there was no way back. Sad but true.
The only good thing with the S6 is that with the currently available 5.0.2 ROMs you can still achieve root without loosing the warranty. And after root you can change the CSC and then can flash the original ROM which will NOW default to CSC you just set. But only if it contains that CSC package!
Hope I could help!
Cheers,
TT

I had the same problem first get your firmware from sammobile flash it through odin
then factory reset from stock recovery it will chose a random CSC but dont worry once you setup your new device go into the setting>backup and reset>factory reset. make sure you dont have automatic restore.
after reset setup device again then Open your phone’s dialer and type the following code with your device IMEI number: *#272*Phone’s IMEI Here#
it should automaticaly take to your csc changer screen pick ur one then install
hope it works !

How it works : on devices where dialer NOT shown up CSC changer (e.g.: 920F) :
Go to recovery, Dial up, Home + Power
wipe cache and perform a factory reset
next is important : power down the phone. NOT to reboot.
Power on in download mode: volume down+home+power buttons
FLASH for example : BTU :
G920FXXU3COI9_G920FBTU3COJ1_G920FXXU3COI9_HOME.tar
after reboot, it will be English, and If U go to recovery it will apply BTU.
Hope it helps
p.s.: It wont works with EVERY Firmware. don't know WHY. For example :
I wanted to flash after succesfully changed the CSC from TPH to BTU, so I wanted to flash XEH....BUT that resets to TPH after XEH flash.
So at least to BTU it works specially if you are in TPH CSC !
Can I change the CSC on an 925F to something non F? Currently mine is coded THR (Iran) and I wish to change it to something USA related. I'm hoping to activate Samsung Pay but from what I've read the change will require root which will trip Knox which won't allow Samsung Pay to work. Am I right?
Working for Galaxy s6 Edge in COJ9 ? If yes I will restore it
damm i wish i found this thread some hours ago ... same prob with G925FXXU3COI9_G925FOXX3COJ1_G925FXXU3COI9_HOME.tar as XEO CSC declared ...
coming from DBT -->> BTU --> trying jump to XEO with Firmware found by SamFirm , but failed.. every try it switches to TPH anywhere with CSC/Firmware i come from.
after read this thread i give up my trys
so go back to BTU and hope OTA Update to marschmallow comes next days ...
greetings from germany
So finally there is no option to install CLEAR XEO when you have brand? The same as author. Comming from PLS (plus) / TPL (T-Mobile) to XEO, and i get TPH For portugal.
Or meybe ishanmu and tiborprogmed way is working to have clear XEO with LTE icon?

Sm-g925f model wont accept any other stock firmware except sc-04g

I have been at this issue since Saturday and gone through a lot of possible solutions but to no avail. So first of all i am in Ghana. A friend came to me with his s6 edge that he had some issues with his phone going off when he unplugs the charger and getting stuck in a bootloop when turning it on unless he plugs a charger in before it boots up fully(even with full charge)
So first of all he wanted to do a factory reset(phone was not rooted). Factory reset completed successfully but issue still persisted.
Specs of the phone was:
android 5.0.2
model number = SM-G925F
original csc (i wasnt able to note that down because downloading stock firmware was going to be the last ultimate weapon. first i was going to try some custom roms to see if it fixed the issue. Besides it was working fine here in Ghana.)
So that's when i flashed a twrp and i dont exactly remember but i think i might have tried to flash a lineage OS or something. But long story short, when u try booting up, the samsung galaxy edge screen with powered by android came on and stayed there. and it did not go on to boot up.
After trying through the night i then decided to use the ultimate tool and flash a stock firmware. Try as i might none of them got past the "Repartition Operation Failed" portion of flashing it. The Pit File was becoming an issue. Tried firmwares for my country, countries nearer to us, contries in africa and finally even european firmwares. And since from reading from here and other forums that the F variant was an international version the international pit files should work but they werent.
All this while whenever i go to Odin Download mode on the phone, the product name there was SM-G925D. This started the confusion because at that point i had looked through alot of firmware and that was not an option. When i searched google for that, the search results mostly correlated it to SC-04G, which looking at it was a Japanese firmware. I didnt want to use a japanese Firmware for obvious reasons. At least i wanted a firmware that was by default in English. But after about 2 days and seeing a lot of answers saying stuff about going to settings and checking stuff there plus me wanting to see an interface and work my way from there i succumbed.
And lo and behold, it flashed on the first try(i used the 4-part files firmware. It was android 7.0). But when it came to booting up, the splash screen had changed from samsung bla bla bla powered by android to NTT DOCOMO powered by android. But it booted up and i skipped through the setup. i had to change the language to english but there were a lot of japanese bloatware that came with it. But as i expected when i popped a sim card into it, and restarted the phone, there was the not available symbol(circle with a bar across) where the network bars were supposed to be.
Seeing that this was not going to do, i went to the settings this time to check on any important details and this were the new details
android version 7.0(January, 2018)
model number=SC-04G
build number was now SC0.....(cant write the full code as im currently in odin mode)
But obviously it was the japanese network. After this i have downloaded more firmwares and they all fail at "Setting PIT...Re-Partition failed". Somtimes i try to mix the 4 files up using maybe the CSC portion of the Japanese firmware but BL, CP, and AP of firmware from my region. This time the error is "sboot.bin failed".
And that has been my grind till now. Downloading likely firmwares and all failing to doing extremes like the mix and match. When the mix and match with BL, CP, and CSC of Japanese with AP of my region works and eventually boots up, there is no touch input. The touch does not work. When that happens i just have to start all over with the SC-04G, which never fails to work.
I have even seen some things about changing csc files in the file explorer with root so i flashed the Japanese FW and rooted it. Went through the processes but to no avail.
PS:
The first part of the Odin screen where you choose to continue or reboot is now completely in Japanese whiles it was formerly in English.
And there is no indication on the phone itself that it was from Japan. The back says Samsung and below it says Galaxy s6 edge. Friend bought it from a shop in Ghana here brand new.(not from a carrier)
****So here lies my confusion. How come a phone with an original model number of SM-G925F have a Product name of SM-G925D in Odin and hence only Flash Japanese Firmware SC-04G(CSC code = DCM) but would not flash any of the international variants. Even if i can eventually get the Japanese firmware to read the sim card we can manage it that way. But thats for when there are no options left.
So please i would like to know your ideas as to how this is happening and any possible solutions that might be different from what my batallion of open tabs are telling me. You can also let me know if you want any more details i might not have included. Looking forward to hearing from you guys.
Update On Issue
I ended up using the japanese firmware in the end because it wasnt picking anything else.
This time after the setup process, it picked up the sim card and the imei is available. So since network is now available i just rooted it with cf autoroot and removed the japanese bloatware and everything looks normal now.
Except the original issue of going off randomly whn power cable is pulled out even when having full charge.
:good:

[HELP] my phone won't change firmware!

A few days ago I got my Samsung A21s (SM-A217M) and I wanted to test out different firmware regions (choose the one where I live) so I downloaded 3, one was from Brasil and the other 2 are from here (tripled checked the CSC) but when I try to flash the correct firmware from my region it passes but when the phone boots up it looks exactly the same from the brasilian firmware, same network providers, apps language, etc. I have even tried just flashing the CSC but nothing has worked at all. Is there something that im missing? Is there another method that will allow me to change to the correct firmware?

Question Wrong CSC After Flashing With Odin

Hi, I'm trying to change my CSC to XME (Malaysia). I downloaded the files using Frija. After flashing, my phone's CSC is now XXV (Vietnam) instead.
`XXV/XXV,XXV/EUY".
Note that I am unrooted and I'm trying to change the CSC region by using official firmware so I can still keep my Knox and warranty intact.
Wondering where did I do wrong? Help is greatly appreciated.
Update:
I've managed to change my CSC for Android 12.
When you flash a multi CSC firmware, it seems to be defaulting to a CSC which in my case, is the Vietnam XXV CSC.
I found a free tool that could change the CSC called SamFw FRP Tool 2.5
All I need to do is flash it with Odin again and when the initial setup screen shows up, go into an emergency call and type in *#0*# which will take you into the test mode.
After that, use the tool to change CSC with the tool then complete the rest of the setup on your phone.
P/s: Samsung Pay does not seem to work. When I add a card, it says invalid information when authenticating with the bank.
Hopefully the FRP tool is from a reliable source. The error message could mean the opposite. Normally the CSC from multi region is selected by the SIM cards country. Did you have 2x Malaysia inserted on first boot after flashing? Also there are dialer codes that bring up a menu to select a specific region, I think best chances are with Google phone app. You would need to search for these codes for your device.
Samsung Pay in german, CSC is EUX fix, 5 minutes
Hello This also works with most Samsung phones If anyone is struggling with Samsung pay being in German and has the csc being EUX, I know how to solve the issue and it only takes about 5 minutes. Basically the csc is set to EUX, which is the new European standard, but for some reason, Samsung...

Another update, Samsung Pay works after I register with another bank. It was the old bank's fault. Not the phone or CSC region change. The CSC region change worked for Samsung Pay as well from the very begining.
