What device administrator app is this? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Im trying to use samsung smart switch to pass all the info to my new device, but when I opne smart switch and try to give the app the permisions it shows me "Security policy restrics use of smart switch".
This phone was bought directly to the carrier for personal use. Not a second hand phone.
After searching on web i found the app on the device administrator apps, but I cant disable it.
I cant find this app on internet.
Is there a legal way to disable this app?
Thanks.

I foud the app on the system app but the option of uninstalling or force stop is disabled.

Enable USB debbuguing:
Login to your Samsung Account on that device
Create aliancex account and install app on your device
Android Alliance - User Control Panel - Register
alliancex.org
Disable those security app:
Here is example:

Try this way: go to SETTINGS->Location and Security-> Device Administrator and deselect the admin which you want to uninstall. Now uninstall the application. If it still says you need to deactivate the application before uninstalling, you may need to Force Stop the application before uninstalling.

Screen lock: none - disabled by remote phone administrator?

So just yesterday I decided to put a pin on my lockscreen, and today I decided that its a bit too annoying for me to keep, so I tried removing it. However, it then gave me this:

I've looked around for solutions, and most seem to point to corporate accounts linked to their phone. Unfortunately, that doesn't apply to me as I'm just a university student. I did try rebooting my phone, and removing my uni email in case that had anything to do with it, but it didn't change anything. I'm on KE7, vodafone uk and my phone is rooted.
Anyone else have this problem?

Check your Settings->Location & Security->Select Device Administrators and uncheck any administrators.

Hello,
I am facing the same problem, i just flashed to a custom ROM 2.2.1 and now i can only access my email when i disable swipe.
The solution to remove the admin allows me to enable it again; however it disallows access to my email!!!
Is there anyway to keep it how it was before? Swipe + email at the same time?
Thanks,
Achraf

[Q] Can anyone help me stop this??

I have been desperately attempting to keep Google Maps from writing down every place I go!
I have checked all the "don't share my location" type boxes. This is deeper than that.
Check these screen shots.

Can anyone recommend a way to STOP google maps from running, unless I specifically open the app myself?

You can freeze the application and unlock it when you need
im in the same boat. if rooted use gemini app manager to stop it from autostarting.

Download an app killer loads of free ones on the market
Should close the app permanently unless you specifically open it
Then to close it just open the app killer thing again and close down google maps using that
Freezing would be a better option, killing it doesn't deny it from restarting later.
After you've disabled in autostart, it wont autostart anymore.. unless there's an app starting it...
have you check htc setting? there is one option that you can view your phone online...

Infected with malware via chrome

Hey guys.
When I was exploring the Internet via chrome my phone has been infected. The new tab opened by itself, phone started to vibrate and page said that my phone is infected and that I should download Antivirus (but this page was similar to other pages with slogans "YOU WON 100K$ CLICK HERE etc.) so I ignored it. Now after every call (only then) Clean Master is saying that I already installed "Games " so I can delete apk file. Sometimes I press YES or sometimes I press No and sometimes it appear on desktop as game (last time it was yahoo logo) sometimes it doesn't. Clean Master Says That is malware with ".bf" extension. I tried every AV, even Avast didn't find anything. I tried also looking for this file by my self but no results (CM Antivirus also find nothing) . (gonna add name of virus for better tagging)
NAME OF VIRUS:
Android .Troj.tb_downloader.bf

I think that is ads... Btw to be safe you can always format your phone, be sure backup your data and contacts.. If you are rooted use adblocking software.. If not use browser which supports adblocking features..there are many in playstore

How do apps know what area code I have without granting phone permission?

So do Instagram and apps know what area code I have without granting phone permission? I want to disable this. I have an app called Package Disabler Pro where I can disable different functions and stuff but can't figure out this one...

The app Package Disabler Pro - as its name implies - only disables ( read: freezes ) a package at a whole but not specific app features.

I see, but I would still like to know how apps can get the country code that people are in
Your internet connection, mobile data connection, and GPS are the three principal ways that any app can retrieve, thus knowing your location.

I am using a VPN and also I use FakeGPS location app that spoofs my location. Instagram even recognizes my spoofed location. I have also turned off WiFi and bluetooth location scanning as well in the settings.

Question Is it possible to disable this notification with root?

Obviously it's extremely obnoxious to have this after every call, but th ability to disable it is grayed out. I'm rooted, so maybe there are options to disable it?
Never had this, but as with any notification, I believe it can be disabled by long tapping on the notification and changing the settings.

That's grayed out which is why I'm asking. It's a known issue across the internet, but I haven't seen anyone asking about root solutions.

com.google.android.feedback (Market Feedback Agent) is a Google app that allows other apps to call it and ask you to provide market feedback. Most likely this is what you meant, as there is no Google Feedback app on the P6. You cannot delete it since the system partition is read-only and cannot be made writeable. You probably cannot can disable it in Settings > Apps but will need or use an app like Titanium Backup or SDMaid (Pro I think) to freeze it.
I will freeze mine and run a test, editing this post after to post the result.
EDIT: Freezing the Market Feedback Agent makes no difference. Something tells me that this behavior, along with the inability to modify notifications in the phone app, is baked into the app itself.
