Usually rooting is first thing I do when I get a phone but in this case I'm a little worried cos I've to unlock bootloader and for that I've to register my phone on the moto site.
Is there any other way to root without unlocking the bootloader?
Has anyone tried vroot or kingo root on Moto E?
I had used vroot successfully on my Samsung Galaxy Fame Duos when none of the root methods worked.
Any help would be much appreciated.

To root an Android device we need exploits, but when we already have a method to root(Unlocking BL), no one is looking for them. So hopes of rooting without unlocking Bootloader are slim. I too am waiting for Motorola to stop providing updates to our Moto E, then only I'll unlock Bootloader and root and install CM, Slim, etc... Hope that helps! :good:
Think I'll do the same. Hopefully by the time Motorola stops providing updates, we'll have some good ROM development going on. But I will surely miss Titanium Backup and Xposed.
Try king root and if you don't like install super sume which replace it via super su

Don't even try this method on D620, you can brick your phone. For unlock bootloader use this forum. Do it on your own risk and pick up right zip for your device.
How to root the Samsung s21, is there a new method, I always get stuck in an endless restart loop;
My model is s21, and there is currently no way to root with a mask. May I ask anyone who has the latest method to root in Android 11, ui3.0

Hello. I have no clue how to root a Motorola. I'm used to Samsung. I know most of you think this is stupid, but I don't know how to root it. I have looked for it on google and either the tutorials suck or, well mostly they suck. I do want to use the stock ROM if that helps at all. But yeah, any answers will help, thanks, guys.

You will need to unlock the bootloader,
which is about 3 steps or so,
allow oem unlocking
get the device bootloader code
summit code to Motorola
receive unlock code via emai
send the code to the device
Then you can root
2 methods for that both using Magisk
Twrp method (if there's a Twrp recovery for your device)
Use Magisk app to patch the boot.img. then flash patched-boot.img

If you use LMSA to get the stock firmware boot.img, be sure that LMSA has the same software version that is on your device.
It is possible that your device may have an OTA update that is not available Yet, there can be a couple of days delay for new firmware.
It's also possible that LMSA has a newer version than what is installed on your device, if that's the case you may want to update to new firmware before rooting.
For minor updates the boot.img should be compatible, if the android version changed you will need the correct boot.img

1. Enable Dev Options
2. Enable allow OEM unlocking.
