PixelExperience is an AOSP based ROM, with Google apps included and all Pixel goodies (launcher, wallpapers, icons, fonts, boot animation)

You can update from first build through OTA app early (or flash normally):
1) Download & Install: OTA Updater APK
2) Download & Install : Activity Launcher APK
Mirror for apks above
3) Open Activity Launcher and look for System Updates activity.
4) Check for updates if doesn't appear immediately.
5) Download and flash.

No, the core device related bugs are shared with the LineageOS ROM. HWC is disabled as such.

Looks like it's faulty, just now I tried to install it to the security step, it doesn't have fingerprint verification, it only allows me to identify the face and password, while my phone's camera is broken

Installed a few minutes ago and looks good nd fast. It's soon to test the battery performance, maybe in a few days.
The rom is the pixel 6 pro one, so if pixel 6 doesn't have fingerprint, the ROM neither (same with VoLTE and VoWIFI, but there is some trick to activate them).
Things tested and working:
Calls
4G
WiFi
Camera (front and rear)
Face unlock
Bluetooh audio (AptX, AAC, SBC but not Samsung Scalable Codec)
Fingerprint
Things tested and not working:
USB Audio
Unlocking pressing the screen. The phone vibrates but the screen doesn't turns on, it must press the power button.

My suggestion to maintaner is to use lineage OS19 from 10.02 2022. as basic, les laggy than previous versions
Everything else works nice.

The reason that I suggest was that I try all LOS 19 in 3-4 last months mostly with newest FlameGapps on my S8 and the latest LOS 19 was so smoothly, almost perfect . The one from 10.02. this year.
And previous one was laggy . With same volume bar batons like yours PE .
BTW , your work is with no system mistake . Working perfectly.

First I would like to say many thanks to the developer(s). Very smooth Android 12 experience. All banking applications I have tried work fine (Lloyds, Barclays, Newday Amazon Mastercard, etc).
Just few issues to report on S8:
1) Phone gets very hot when watching TikTok videos.
2) Google Camera crashed and refused to open.
3) Installed camera has limited settings, there is also a focusing issue (initially the picture background is bright and nice but after few seconds it changes into a very dark background).
