First, this phone has been hell, no other phone that I've ever tried to root behaved like this, anyways, yesterday I unlocked my bootloader using the PotatoNV Test pin method, All was smooth sailing until I tried installing TWRP with the help of this thread, but somewhere along the line, everything just broke, For some reason every time I flash 'recovery_ramdisk' it does nothing, I still get put into the stock eRecovery.
Some more info:
Phone: UNLOCKED
FRP: UNLOCKED
After flashing 'recovery_ramdisk', the phone boots up for a second, than turns back on, than it boots to the 'Your device cant be trusted screen'
I have 2 options, boot into recovery, or the system.
I cant seem to boot into TWRP as it always boots into eRecovery, the 'Update and recover system' Button doesn't work, it always fails to fetch info.
when I boot into the system I get promoted with.
ERROR MODE
Attention!
Please update system again
Error!
Func NO: 10 (Boot image)
Func NO: 2 (Load failed!)

Any help would be greatly appreciated, guides on reflashing everything to stock etc.
In fastboot flash EMUI 9.1 Stock recovery_ramdisk, download here
- fastboot reboot
- When the yellow warning appears, press and hold Vol Up. In eRecovery turn off your phone.
- Then press and hold Power & Vol Up, your phone should reboot into Recovery.
Thank you! Last step cleared everything up a lot

I'm trying to de-softbrick an Evo3D for an aquaintance, and I've run out of ideas, so any help this forum is willing to offer is muy apreciada.
Info about phone:
UNLOCKED
HBOOT 1.5
S-ON
Phone will not boot to OS. Phone will boot into hboot. Recovery menu does not function, it shows the fastboot menu instead. Selecting Fastboot takes you to the Fastboot menu, which seems to work fine. Factory Reset option takes you to Fastboot menu.
Initially phone seems to load PG86IMG.zip for flashing, but when the blue loading meter fills up, it says "parsing PG86IMG.zip" for a second and then boots me back to the hboot menu, without asking me to install the file. I've tried both the stock rooted and unrooted zips.
Tried plugging the phone into my computer and running the RUU exe. It will not detect the phone, which I'm guessing is because the phone won't boot into the OS. Also, phone does not appear to respond to any adb or fastboot commands (tried doing adb pull and fastboot reboot, neither worked).
EDIT: Now the phone is detected by the RUU, but I get a 155 error code, and the phone says "Security fail!" and "Update fail!"
Again, any help is appreciated.
What happens when you try to run any fastboot command?

I get < waiting for device > and it just sits there forever.
try this
Enter FASTBOOT
Open command prompt in your computer
Relock your device by typing "fastboot oem lock" , device will reboot.
Enter FASTBOOT again (you will see *** RELOCKED ***)
Apply the RUU.

Here's the output of the fastboot oem lock (it's responding to fastboot commands now YAY!):
Code:
C:\android-sdk\platform-tools>fastboot oem lock
...
(bootloader) Lock successfully...
(bootloader) TZ_HTC_SVC_DISABLE ret = 66977136 (0x3FDFD70)
FAILED (status read failed (Too many links))
finished. total time: 0.936s
It does show the phone as relocked now, but right below the pink "***RELOCKED*** I also have ***SECURITY WARNING***. The security warning part seems to go away if I boot into hboot with the sd card removed.
EDIT: RUU worked on the second try after this. Thanks a ton!
I'm having the same issue but the link to the RUU does not work anymore, can anyone repost?

Does USB come up next to Fastboot? If so can you reflash CWM?
Hi,
This morning i had the very bad idea of changing my recovery, and now I'm stuck!
I'm running CM13 and i wanted to update to the latest release, but I got errors, so I said "well, maybe they need their recovery and TWRP is not good anymore for some reasons.
I downloaded the new recovery from CM website (yes, it is the correct version of the phone) and installed it. Well, i don't know what happened, but now I'm stuck into the bootloader (fastboot mode detects my device in cmd)
I decided to flash TWRP again, but now my bootloader is locked (for some mysterious reason, as it was unlock by both the dev option toggle and by a previous OEM unlock command).
I've been trying to unlock it again, but nothing. I lunch
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
and all it does is coming up with this message:
Code:
OKAY [ 0.015s]
finished. total time: 0.016s
The phone reboots and it's stuck as I have access to neither recovery or OS. It just stays there and i have to go back into the bootloader.
the device info from fastboot is:
Code:
...
(bootloader) Device tampered: false
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
(bootloader) Display panel:
(bootloader) console_enabled: 0
(bootloader) exec_console_unconsole: 0
OKAY [ 0.010s]
finished. total time: 0.010s
I also tried with
Code:
fastboot flashing unlock
but it stays stuck with the 3 dots without doing anything.
Is there anything i can do or i have to trough my device into the bin?
thanks

Yes, this worked!
Thanks a lot.
FIXED!!!: Solution: Download MiFlash and flash a stable Rom, then install twrp and flash your prefered rom.

Hello,
So basically I'm stuck in FastBoot.
I wanted to install the Pixel Experience ROM and did a big mistake, I wiped Dalvik, Cache, System and Data, then installed the ROM but no system, I rebooted and since then I am stuck in Bootloader.
My phone didn't turn on at first and I thought I broke it, but then it turned on into FastBoot.
Now it is stuck there.
I tried everything I found on the internet, I even went to the XDA Discord Server for help but nothing worked.
I have the Xiaomi Mi 9, I had the GlobeROM installed.
I don't care about the data, I just want my phone to work again.
I tried:
adb:
- Does not find my device because it is in FastBoot
fastboot:
-fastboot flash recovery (then my twrp, yes I tried three different versions and they worked before on my Mi 9)
-fastboot boot (image) --> FAILED (remote: Failed to load/authenticate boot image: Load Error)
I tried rebooting into recovery, no success.
I tried installing twrp with cmd and powershell both without success.
I tried rebooting with power and vol up, no success.
The twrp installs successfully, but I can't boot into it.
my fasboot oem device-info:
(bootloader) Verity mode: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: true
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: true
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
OKAY [ 0.009s]
finished. total time: 0.010s
I tried to flash a stock (for Android Pie) that I downloaded, but my phone turns off during the process and boots again into FastBoot causing the cmd to close everytime.
Please help me, I feel like my phone is broken now.
Feel free to ask any question, I will answer quick as long as I'm not sleeping, because I will refresh this page every 10 seconds I guess.
I have a weird condition. First of all I was using Android 9 with twrp. Everything was fine. Today I decided to install Lineage 17.1 and first of all I needed the A10 stock rom. So I decided to use Official Fastboot rom. Installed and booted. I turn the dev options on.
Used Adb reboot fastboot to get into fastboot mode. Used the commands that I used to use.
fastboot getvar current-slot (it says A)
fastboot set_active b
fastboot erase boot
fastboot flash boot twrp.img (everything was fine. no errors so far.)
fastboot reboot recovery (I press vol+ button)
Phone boots to fastboot mode. when I try fastboot continue it changes slots and boot OS. I tried to flash twrp or orange fox or different versions of recovery to both slot but nothing works. I always end up with fastboot screen.
fastboot oem device-info
(bootloader) Verity mode: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: true
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: true
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
OKAY [ 0.016s]
It seems OK?
I cannot install A9 it gives error (rollback protection maybe?)
How can I flash recovery now? Please help.
Edit: I will try to gain root access patching boot.img with magisk. Maybe somehow I gain access to recovery again. -> Got root access but no recovery
Solved. Tried thousands of recoveries and one worked.
I have a Moto G Play 2021 (XT2093-4) (another one), that I made a mistake to relock the bootloader after I had it unlocked. I don't have access to the OS on the phone anymore. Previously I had the treble floss installed on it. I don't have TWRP installed. The only thing I have access to is fastboot. I realise I might have completely bricked this phone but I thought I ask here to see if there is any way to unlock the OEM again just using the fastboot.
the fastboot screen on the phone has a menu option to go into recovery mode. stock recovery might be able to restore your phone to working condition.
volume-down + power buttons > fastboot mode > volume button to 'recovery' option > power button to execute. if your recovery screen is broken with the 'no command' message, hold down the power button and quickly press and release the volume-up button. that should get you to the working recovery screen where you can try to factory reset your phone.

Thanks, but I think my phone is completely messed up now. If you can believe it, I can't even get to recovery mode. I can get to fastboot and then find the recovery mode and click to go to it but then it just starts the fastboot again. I'm basically stuck in fastboot forever. It's just weird cause there's nothing wrong with the hardware. Thanks again.
if you have nothing working on your phone but fastboot mode, that might still be enough to rescue your phone. boot it to the fastboot screen, connect it to a pc that has the fastboot program installed, open a terminal window on the pc wherever fastboot is, and type 'fastboot devices'. if your phone answers with its serial number, you'rr probably able to flash a whole stock rom to it piece by piece. get a stock rom from somewhere like lenovo, using their lmsa program, or just download the right one from lolinet or somewhere. unzip it. then, for instance, to flash the boot.img to your phone you would type 'fastboot flash boot boot.img'. that would replace your possibly broken boot partition with a known good one. then 'fastboot reboot' to see if that helped. there are tutorials on the net for flashing the rest of the rom. be sure to read one, because all of the flash commands aren't that straightforward.

Sorry for the really late reply. I tried what you said, but it fails right at the (fastboot flash partition gpt.bin) command and the output I get is:
Sending 'partition' (37 KB) OKAY [ 0.002s]
Writing 'partition' (bootloader) Validating 'gpt.default.xml'
(bootloader) flash permission denied
(bootloader) Cancelling 'gpt.default.xml'
FAILED (remote: '')
fastboot: error: Command failed
It keeps saying flash permission denied. I have another exact same phone with an unlocked bootloader and I did the same on that one and I was able to flash a stock ROM to it. I've tried every RETCA and RETUS on this site: https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/motorola/guamna/official/ but it fails with the same error. I'm going to try all the rest later but it's a lot to download for now.
Thanks again for the help!
