Meizu will release Meizu MX5E and Meizu M3 Note smartphone in April

In April, there are many Chinese smartphones to be released. For example, Meizu is ready to release Meizu M3 note and Meizu MX5E smartphone, both of them enjoy high attention among the customers
Let's talk about Meizu m3 note first:
From leaks so far we have discovered that the new Meizu M3 Note will feature a new all alloy body rather than plastic, we have also seen that the budget smartphone could also have a fingerprint scanner in the home button, a 5.5-inch display, and Mediatek Helio P10 chipset plus larger 3500mA battery. All these features sound great, but don’t they also sound very similar to what the Meizu Metal range offers?
Second, Let's see how it is powerful about Meizu MX5E?
Compared to the regular Meizu MX5, the MX5E is 100 Yuan cheaper, and has a few downgrades to cut the pricing, one being the drop in processing speed from 2.2Ghz to 2.0Ghz and a reduction in mega-pixels for the rear camera to 16 mega-pixel (down from 21MP).
Unchanged is the 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, all metal body, 3GB RAM , 5 mega-pixel front camera, fingerprint scanner and 3150mAh battery.
Therefore, which one will you want to experience first? As it's known to all, Apple has release iphone SE version which enjoys great popularity now. So Meizu has also taken the same way to use the name of iphone. I hope Meizu will not let us disappointed in its price and hardware, and software. Let's stay tuned.

Really. Flyme is more than just Anroid. But of course Flyme based on Nougat will be better in theory (battery, fingerprint options).

Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro announced with Kirin 810 and pop-up camera

Earlier this month, Honor began teasing a new launch in their X series, with several leaks confirming key features of the devices. Today, they unveiled the Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro as the latest offering in their “premium mid-range” category. These devices don’t pack the same punch as Honor’s high-end phones, but they still offer a compelling package for a much more affordable price tag.
See full device specs here
The design of the two phones is incredibly similar. If not for a few minor differences, you may not be able to tell them apart. They both feature colorful models with an X-shaped gradient effect, very slim bezels, pop-up cameras, vertical camera arrangements, buttons in the same location, and plain “HONOR” branding on the back. It’s an attractive design that is, admittedly, becoming a bit stale.

}
The main external feature that differentiates the Honor 9X from the 9X Pro is the camera arrangement. The Honor 9X Pro has three cameras in a stack with the flash underneath. The Honor 9X has the same vertical arrangement, but the third camera spot is occupied by the flash, since the standard variant only has two cameras.
The Honor 9X and 9X Pro will be available in a variety of color options. As mentioned, this is a really nice looking design, but we’ve seen it a lot. Slim bezels with eye-catching gradient colors is not as unique as it used to be. The X-shaped pattern will appeal to users who want a flashy back similar to what we saw on the Honor View 20, while the black color variant will provide a more reserved and flat look.
Moving past the design, the Honor 9X Pro is the “Pro” model largely because of the extra camera. The 9X has a 48MP main sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. Meanwhile, the 9X Pro has the 48MP main sensor, plus 8MP and 2MP secondary sensors.
A key features on both of these new devices is the presence of the HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC. The Kirin 810 is a big generational leap over the Kirin 710, and it claims to bring performance that is comparable to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730, if not better. Considering how the Snapdragon 730 is said to be Qualcomm’s third most powerful mobile processor, it puts into perspective how the Kirin 810 is placed. The Honor 9X Pro variant is also said to feature “liquid cooling”, though this is likely be a reference to a vapor chamber-based system instead of active water cooling.
Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro – Pricing and Availability
The Honor 9X will be available in China in Phantom Red, Phantom Blue and Magic Night Black colors, for a price of CNY 1,399 (~$203) for the 4GB/64GB variant, CNY 1599 (~$232) for the 6GB/64GB variant, and CNY 1899 (~$276) for the 6GB/128GB variant. The phone is on pre-order and will be available from July 30, 2019.
The Honor 9X Pro will be available in China from August 9, 2019, in Phantom Purple and Magic Night Black colors, for a price of CNY 2,199 (~$320) for the 8GB/128GB variant and CNY 2,399 (~$349) for the 8GB/256GB variant.

After the fiasco of software problems with the Axon 7 I don't think I would spend a significant sum on one of their phones again.
They really need to get their **** together....

Yeah that was quite the nightmare, especially with the ban and having a not good last update. Glad GSI's are doing the trick, but I think ZTE should work on their updates a little better.

I hope they survive the Trump administration fiasco of trade wars because their phones are very good.
I got my wife a new Mate 20 recently, as long as it's modern she won't care if it's on Android 10 or 11. She wouldn't have a clue and it will get 10 at least.
I don't care about the bootloader as modern Android is great as long as the OEM doesn't make it with too many bugs (looking crossly at ZTE).
My Axon 7 and Axon 7 Mini are both stock and it doesn't bother me from a feature point of view.
Rooting and modding them was all in the past because the OS was so fragmented and basic. Now it's just not a concern for me.
I'd have a new Huawei right now if needed. The new models coming out from now on are where the problem is, not the pre-existing ones.

Hey OPPO Humans,
Finally OPPO launched The Portrait Expert, the Reno8 Series on July 18. It's the perfect package in terms of Performance, Cameras, Design, Battery and much more. In this thread, I'll be talking about the premium design & display that we get on OPPO Reno8 5G. So without any further ado, let's get started!
DESIGN
OPPO has been a consistent leader in Technology & Innovation. Experience the premium feel in your hands with the all-new OPPO Reno8 5G that comes in two colors, Shimmer Gold & Shimmer Black.
Shimmer Gold which gives of extraordinary gradient visual effects while staying fingerprint resistant, so just Gold for it. While the Shimmer Black, Black out the rest together.
About Streamlined Unibody Design
After several generations of product iterations, the Reno series has now grown. In terms of catching the user's eyes, they are also constantly polishing the design. Reno has a very outstanding appearance in all generations. In the previous generation, they've used LDI (Laser Direct Imaging) processing on the OPPO Reno7 Series. Exquisitely crafted for a delicate touch, it’s chiseled with over 1.2 million micro-rasters reminiscent of shooting stars.
Like the Reno8 Pro, the Reno8 5G is also equipped with Streamlined Unibody design which enhanced by iconic OPPO Glow. This makes the overall feeling very different. The new Reno8 Series is more intellectual and elegant. The camera design of the OPPO Reno8 series is the same as that of the Find X5 series.
To ensure a smooth transition between camera setup & back cover OPPO uses a high temperature forging and high pressure process to make this design. The raised edge of the camera module forms a 75° arc, and it is polished several times to make it more beautiful, smooth, premium & eye-catchy.
Although this generation of Reno has switched to a new design, many places are still familiar to us. For example, the green groove is still retained in the center of the power button.
Slim & Light
Even after all this complicated process, the company has maintained the form factor well. It weighs 179g and is only 7.67mm thick. This gives a better grip and extremely comfortable to use.
DISPLAY
In terms of display, it features a 6.43" FHD+ AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and delivers screen-to-body ratio of 90.8%.
With a 90Hz refresh rate display ensure that you don't have any lag or shuttering. Surely it delivers an ultra-smooth visual and gaming experience. Also touch sampling rate of 180Hz, ensures a smooth scrolling experience.
It also offers support for HDR10+, Netflix HD along with Amazon Prime Video HD certifications. The Reno8 5G also has the SGS eye care display certification which effectively reduces blue light and guards your eyes against fatigue.
It can reach peak brightness of 800nits in sunlight mode, ensuring a clearly visible display always. The display is also Protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
To create a best viewing experience it has O1 Ultra Vision Engine, which uses AI deep learning to improve every frame of your video. Improved clarity and colour to create a viewing experience you’ll never get tired of. It make every video your best video.
For security, In-display fingerprint scanner provided which is fast as Lightning. Only 0.256 seconds needed to unlock became 71% faster.
That's all for the Design & Display of OPPO Reno8 5G.

General Product Review | OPPO Reno8 5G | OPPO Ambassador (Part 1)

Hello everyone,
I would like to contribute to this forum by presenting my review on OPPO Reno8 5G that I have been using for 2 weeks now. Reno8 would be my first OPPO product that i use. A little bit about me is that i am a phone photographer who likes to shoot mainly in cityscape and architecture photography and i post my work in Instagram (@Redribbon26). i am very excited when i have the chance to test out Reno8 camera as part of being OPPO Ambassador.
The review would cover these areas which all of them comes from my experience using the phone.
1. Built Quality & Design
2. Phone Performance & Battery
3. Best ColorOS Features
4. Camera (part 1 & Part 2)
And i will share my conclusion about this phone as well.
Let's start with what's in the box for OPPO Reno8 5G. As you can see from the picture, it consists of:
1. The phone unit
2. 80W charger & USB-C cable
3. Sim ejector tool
4. Flexible transparent protective case
5. Guide on setup and safety
It is nice that the phone comes with a screen protector & protector case. This has saved me time and money to buy the basic accessories to protect my phone.

1. Built Quality & Design
[Color] Reno8 5G comes in 2 colors, Shimmer Black and Shimmer Gold. I received the Shimmer Gold, and the color really lives up to its name – shimmer and glow! The glow is the first thing that grabs my attention and I really love on how the back cover changes colors when it hits by lights.
Talking about first impression on physical appearance – trendy, eye-catching, and attractive. The matte-silver color for the side panel provides good color combination on the overall looks.
[Texture] the back panel surface is smooth to the touch, and it hides fingerprints and smudges well. It means i don’t need to clean it so often. I like it.
[Design] It looks sleek and minimalistic. The phone is slim, side buttons are flat with round edges and that shape is repeated on the bottom for speaker/microphone and charging port. Neat!
Up front, the camera is located at the corner top left. It won’t disturb the viewing experience. On the back, the triple camera setup is molded into the panel with protrusion which has smooth edges, thanks to the curve.
It feels easy to hold this phone. Ergonomic and lightweight. It has a nice grip and is comfortable to use single-handedly.
2. Phone Performance & Battery
[Performance] I take photos (sometimes videos), and edit the result using the phone. I have no complaints so far. It has been satisfactory. No lags, or app crash. The facts that Reno8 5G has 6.4 inch AMOLED display with FHD resolution, 8-bit color depth and 90Hz refresh rate have given me a smooth experience, especially during editing. I don’t really play mobile games, but I do watch movies from Netflix and Disney+. I don’t experience any lags.
[Battery] OPPO Reno8 5G comes with superfast 80W SUPERVOOC charger. Charging from 50% to 100% in 18 minutes. I did test that when I received the phone.
The phone has longer battery life. A full charge could last around 1.5 days. I am not a hardcore phone user, my typical daily usage includes texting, browsing products online, social media, checking emails, and few photo editing that usually consume battery more, as I need to set the screen at least at 75% brightness, in some instances, up to 100%. If there is any photo/video taking session, the battery could last almost a day.
3. Best ColorOS Features
Let's go to Part 2
