I'm really pissed, that with the latest play store, I have absolutely no way of looking at previous apps I have used for yrs.. I have looked all over the place, and can not find any sign of apps I used and have payed for, that still work... I do have some back up, but the idea of them basically telling me what I can and can not install from previous yrs is pure bulls**t. The idea of getting a iphone soon is getting better and better with each passing day.
What Google play store version are you on?
Whatever the newest one is....29.5.14-21
Is it the new Material You design? What country are you from?
In UK law, they are required to give you access to any digital content you have purchased so I doubt they would get rid of the library when they require it for compliance.

My purchased apps appear in there, from years back. If yours don’t, are you sure you haven’t accidentally used a different Google account to previous phones?
If you're logged in in a browser with your Google account, you can see what you have paid for by simply going to
Sign in - Google Accounts
play.google.com
and instantly see your purchases. Looking at my (long) list, I have no idea whether it also holds apps that are no longer available.
And here appears to be the list of all apps you ever installed:

(XDA makes weird titles for the links, but you can look at the URL and see whether you feel they are legit (they are))
"The idea of getting a iphone soon is getting better and better with each passing day."
In the move from 32 bit to 64 bit about half of my purchased iOS apps went unusable on newer devices, and games like Monkey Island have just vanished from the iOS app store without any notice, or any evidence that you ever purchased it, so also without any possiblity for a refund. So I don't think Apple does this better than Google....

The issue with my missing purchase was resolved.. I'm not sure what the issue was.. After a couple of hrs, and my phone finishing up updates after Samsung installing my new mainboard all seem to appear.. I'm not crazy, but even when logged into my pc, none of my apps would appear.. I have been using the same google account for yrs.. I only have one. I do know this.. Some of my apps that are back, were not available to me 6 months ago.. Maybe this has happened to others, and complaints were sent to google.. And with newer updates these issue were resolved..

Probably an easy question but when I go into my apps it lists everyone I ever downloaded. How do I get rid of them so I dont have to scroll or auto download?
Guess nobody knows?
It should only list the ones you paid for, and of course the ones you have currently installed.
Free apps that you downloaded, and then uninstalled should only stay there until reboot (I believe)

Nope lists everything I ever had. Sick of going through 10 pages of stuff.
Try going into settings applications and market (or google play if you have the updated one), clear cache and data then open the maket up again accepting the terms and conditions. Go to my apps again and it should have cleared them.

I agree with clearing the market/play cache in app management.

Ok normally I can figure this out. Guess Im a little slow today but dont see that anywhere. I open google play , go to settings and dont have that option anywhere.
Go into phone settings not google play settings. Then applications then all tab at the top of screen. Find google play and tap it tap clear cache and clear data. Then start google play app as normal and accept the terms and conditions. Job done hopefully!

Because he used the words "10 pages of stuff", I believe the OP is talking about the website, not the phone app. https://play.google.com/store does show every app you've downloaded. It'll also show old phones you may not even own anymore. No way to get rid of them afaik, and if you google the problem theres all sorts of talk about it out there.

Yes that is correct as Ive flashed several Roms and anything I did have would have been cleared by now. Also yes to the webpage for google and it lists phones. That has changed several times. Guess I will google and try and find the answer. Thanks.
Post back if you do find a solution but the last I dug around on the subject a month or so ago, old apps and old devices are not removable from the Play website. Its something Google controls and there is nothing end users can do at this point.
Here's a good start for you with some relevant links: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1442148
While the link(s) above pertain mostly to removing old devices, the same goes for old apps. It seems Google is quite aware of it but does not want to give us control over removing such items.
The question of the day is, why?

Nobody wants to give up control. When setting up a Rom I have had it try to use Backup Asst. and I dont want it. So when I set up google I use to get these texts from verizon. Some whack crap. Called and funny how one tech takes care of it and the other is plain out stupid. I had one say freeze/force stop backup asst which you cant do because force stop just restarts. One tech took care of it and the other put in a trouble ticket.

The above posts both provide a workaround/partial solution. Here is my suggestion...
If you choose to try Old Market, when you launch it you can choose "old" or "new" market. It requires root permissions to work. After selecting which Market you would like, it will reboot the device and, once it is booted, the market you chose will be installed. Take note that I did in fact still see some free apps that weren't installed, but not all of them. Perhaps they were only the apps that were downloaded to this specific device/ROM.
That said, the "old" Market is indeed the very old V2 Market. I went back to "new" Market (V3), and it upgraded itself back to Google Play after a little while.
Unless you truly like the old interface of the Market, I'd recommend you go with CosmicDan's suggestion of logging in to Google Wallet and viewing your transaction history. This will give you a list of only the apps you have purchased. Unfortunately you can not install them to your device from there, but at least you can see only the apps you have purchased without seeing every app you have ever downloaded.

Is there a way to view only one's purchased apps in the new Play Store? The new interface for the My Apps section does not seem to have a way to do this like it used to, instead showing seemingly every app one has ever downloaded, with purchased apps mixed in (in no logical order).

Big time bump on this! They really do need to add a tab that shows purchased not just installed and history.
Just ran across this. Hope there is a fix in the works. Not being able to sort the apps is a major FAIL.
I let my son have my old droid and he went crazy downloading what looks like every free app offered....my mistake for not creating a junk gmail account. Now I have literally hundreds and hundreds of apps listed in my app section of the play store.
Bump, I would like to know also
It appears that even the app management section of the Google Play website doesn't have this capability. On the positive side, the site looks great! -_-
This is just wrong, when you've bought allot of apps and downloaded plenty of free apps.
There's got to be an easier way to see what you've bought and redownload!
Someone got a clue?

This is such a fkn annoying issue. BUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The other thing is there should be a tab to multi select app installs so you aren't directed to the install screen and forced to start from the beginning of the main screen after you go back. If that is not an option at least add the ability to install "ALL" paid apps.
Why in the hell would we not get the option to see purchased apps only but we get the option to see "ALL" downloaded apps paid or unpaid. That's just fkn ridiculous
P.S. To anyone that is going to tell me to roll back or move previous apk versions to system/app or even use an app to do it for you and blah blah blah. I have tried everything.
The closest I got was using the apk I will attach for everyone here. Be sure to unzip it and move the file to your phone and use a file explorer to install it.

so I should be able to choose which market I want to use on the fly when I install this apk?

Not likely any time soon in my opinion. I'm quite positive that they knowingly made the decision to change (read remove) the list of only paid apps in the Play Store, in an effort to "improve" the app. Unfortunately.
.— Powered by Nexus —.
Another Google Fail just like the crappy resolution contact pictures that they refuse to fix. Thanks google for making have to make duplicate phone contacts and link everything. Also thank you for getting rid of showing only the paid apps.
Google has always been a piece of.. garbage, but as of late, they have just been, a piece of... junk..
Well, I do not think Google forgot to have that view. From their point of view it absolutely makes sense:
If you forget about an app you bought some day, you might end up buying another one, providing the same functionality later. And that is where they get money from, not you re-installing an already bought app.
It does not go too well with the "don't be evil" motto, but this was clearly a deliberate choice by Google.

The r2 works fine for me. I've put it to /system/app … I had to delete the app data to make it run again after a reboot, though.
The "upgrade" of Market to Play Store was not smooth on my two Sony devices:
Tablet S and Xperia phones.
The connection was lost occasionally in the beginning dates, and finally, it was restored on my Xperia phones.
However, connection to "Market/Play Store" server went dead on my Tablet S totally since yesterday. So I
(i) uninstalled updates of "Market/Play Store" to return it to "Market" -> no use; then
(ii) suspecting something wrong with my machine, so I decided to perform a "Factory Reset". (That took me the whole afternoon to restore apps from backup... panic...). Yet, it is still dead, only leaving the message "Server error, Retry" at the centre.
(iii) I even install Play Store 3.4.7 and 3.5.15 app downloaded here somewhere to see if that makes any difference. The answer is still a big NO.
Any suggestion? Wifi connection to all other websites are fine without problem. All other app accounts are now reconnected. This "factory reset" gives me another problem that some of my purchased apps are now denying me from use, as my "Market/Play Store" account is not activated on this Tablet S.
Is this a general Tablet S issue or I need to find Sony to fix the hardware? Please kindly advise. Many thanks!
I don't have such problem, suggest to send it back to Sony to check and fix.

I can't believe that the problem cased regarding a hardware problem.
I guess it could be a problem with your Google account.
You could double check it with a other or new Google account.
(ask a friend or create a new one)
If it works well with a new/other account, I would contact the Google support to check and/or repair your main account.

I agree with you that I don't think this could be a HW problem. That's why I posted my question here to see if this is a common issue. I contacted Sony Support Live Chat and apparently this is not a common case, at least in US. My Tablet S was purchased in HK, so the chat could not end up with any solution, but suggesting me to seek for an upper level of support in HK. In fact, I am about to take it to the Sony Service this morning.
The good news is after three days of struggling and Factory Data Resetting (a total of three times! very painful to restore things each time...), strange thing happened just now that the "Market" connection returned, for no reason. After downloaded/installed a couple of app updates, "Market" then was upgraded to "Play Store". Things seems working fine now... Hope the regional Google finally have this resolved...
Many thanks again for your patience and suggestion!
Android Central had a post that stated Google issued a fix for the Google Play Movie app.
It doesn't mention any specific issues, but if one app was having issues, at least they caught it and fixed it quickly. Probably had something to do with the quick fix of the overall Market (fine Play store).

Yes, that might be a related issue. The curious thing, however, is it seems I am the only one to experience this... very interesting...
BTW, I need to further that I still have problem in buying apps using my Tablet S (Hong Kong version). I would receive this message most of the time:
"The item that you were attempting to purchase could not be found." Don't know if anyone here had similar experience?
And the nasty thing is I need to "factory data reset" to clear that. The more annoying thing is this message will return again soon for no apparent reason... Possibly, from your reference, be a problem between Sony and Google...
Why dont you send it back to Sony HK to have a complete check? they are conveniently located in HK and Kowloon side.

I am thankful to your suggestion. I went to Google support and confirmed that this is a general issue, not something peculiar to me alone. I need to travel in Greater China (i.e., Hong Kong, Macau, China and Taiwan) a lot because of my job nature. Among the areas only Play Store access from Hong Kong allows in-tablet Play Store purchase. I was in Macau this week, and it seems quite a few people in China and Macau have had the same issue of not connecting to Play Store.
I raised a question there concerning in-tablet Play Store purchase, and hope someone will write me an answer soon.
We HK users shouldn't complain anymore with regard to the availability of Playstation here since we are the lucky bunch who don't have the Play Store and wifi issues.
I guess now we are 2

Don't worry. I think Google is already aware of the issue and will, hopefully, have this fixed in your region, like mine, soon. However, there is still an issue left open to fix: purchase app through the in-tablet Play Store for people who need to carry the machine and access Play Store of different regions.
Taking back for service usually won't do much help, however, unless the service guys are smart enough to find out what is really the issue. My experience was that they were usually unhelpful. Within guarantee period, they would replace either the PCB or replace with a refurbished machine but will still leave the problem for you to hunt for an answer.
In our case, I think, it is not a hardware problem, but the stability of Android as a whole.
i can't agree more
there is few BB referring to flushing the registered Gmail account from the device witch according to the expert it never get off by just a factory reset.
it dose make seance, taken into consideration that factory reset is not firmware instillation or ROM for the device.
didn't got the micro cable yet other wise i'm welling even to go that far, interesting note, though i can pin point one or two website that i'm facing trouble browsing from my normal PC and i'm not 100% sure if these things related in some point from ISP part, you know some port been blocked or some crazy firewall policy, the issue for me that i really can't tested as such as i don't have enough knowledge about how this google play works.
hope things will get a bit better at least from your side

Is there any place that you can make requests to google for updating their google play store app? I like the new my apps area and how it has all your apps that you have ever downloaded under that all that is a nice touch. However, I would really like there to be a purchased tab as well because I dont have all the apps that I purchased currently on my phone for one reason or another and would like it so there was an easily accessible tab to reach those purchased items. I think thats a reasonable idea as the market had purchased area at the buttom under the installed section. Unless I am missing it and its there but i dont see it?
I`m currently running a standard Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - never modded or anything - still locked to my current cell network.
My girlfriend came downstairs very upset with me. I didn`t know why. She grabbed my phone, opened my downloaded apps list and my downloaded / installed list states that I had either downloaded or installed Snapchat. She currently is furious thinking that I've been sending anonymous pictures / chats with others.
To my knowledge I can never remember downloading or installing this app on my phone (I've had it over a year and a half). Based on where it is in my download list, it was added to my list at some point between the evening of Feb 9th and sometime during the day on Feb 10th. I've determined this based on the apps I downloaded before and after snapchat shows in the list. Are the apps in the "all" list in chronological order? Or can they show up randomly?
With that being said, I certainly DID NOT download, install or use this app. However, because it is showing up in my download list, she believes that I'm lying to her. Is there any other way this app would show up in my "All" list aside from it being actually downloaded or installed? I have no knowledge of how this is showing up there and I have no way of proving to her that I didn't install it.
All I have found is that the App itself was recently updated on February 10th as per the Google Play store website for the app at - play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.snapchat.android
and on February 11 for apple phones as per the iTunes page for Snapchat: itunes.apple.com/ca/app/snapchat/id447188370?mt=8
if I had downloaded it at some point in the last year and a half and then deleted it, could it show up in my "All" history because it was updated by the vendor? Is there any other kind of explanation for it showing up in my list? I have no idea how it is showing there and I am at my wits end because as this point she believes I'm cheating on her which I am most certainly not. However, without any other proof, its hard to say that I'm not when I have no explanation.
if anyone could share with me their knowledge, insight or provide feedback on how this may have happened, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
Your app could show in all apps if you installed it previously on any other phone if your google account was signed in on that phone. That means if your previous phone used that account, or you signed in your friends phone and it synced the app it could stay in your app list on google play. Basically every app that you ever installed on any phone that was signed in with your google account will show in the play store.

Thank you for taking time to respond. I really appreciate it.
I can understand if I had downloaded it before in the past that it may be in my profile list under my gmail / google account somewhere in my history. Is there a reason why it would jump up in the list randomly? I ask this assuming that the "all" list is in chronological order of when the apps were downloaded? I had legitimately downloaded and installed some apps within the last few days and they show up at the top of the list. Where as older apps are lower in the list. Would the version updates maybe bump it up?
Many thanks again!
It could be possible. But i wouldn't really know because i don't track my app history, but in my case i install roms really often and it always wipes my data so i have to download all the apps i use again, and they are not in the top in all apps. And yes, some of the apps i downloaded a really long time ago are in the top. I don't know why. For instance, Aero kernel control app is pretty much in the top, and i had it installed when i ran kitkat on my phone and stopped using it when i installed lollipop and that was like three months ago. And it got updated recently. So i can't say for shure, but if you're not liying to your girlfriend, then you could say that to her. There could be many possibilities for that to happen, even if you didn't download the app personally.
