Amazing ROM!!
Can someone compare this Elixir version to latest ArrowOS 12 version? Any pluses/minuses? I'm using Elixir for few days, but there are some microlags, unlocking screen is quite a bit slow, but otherwise no bugs found. I really like it.
Could anyone advise on which vendor to use and performance?
I'm on PE but no cameras work well and the proximity sensor doesn't work at all. Is this worth the switch?

I am getting around 12w max on mine but doesn't go any higher. Rom is perfect for me in all other ways though.

Not sure how I could find out vendor but I was using V12.5.10.0.RJSEUXM Android 11 before flashing this ROM.
I would say it is definitely worth switching to this ROM, very stable from my testing without running into any issues so far, although I have only been testing for a few days. .
If there is anything you would like me to test on the ROM I'll be happy to try on my device and let you know how it goes.

I want to switch to this ROM via MIUI 12.5.10 just in case, but I've never put a phone back to MIUI and I'm not sure if the ROMs are different.
If I flash V12.5.10.0.RJSEUXM before this ROM (just to be safe) - Can I use PE Recovery or do I have to use MiFlash? Is there any real reason to switch recovery or can I just keep PE?

format > flash MIUI > clear cache > format > flash Elixir > clear cache > profit

I tested a call and proximity sensor works fine (screen turns off when phone is up to my ear and turns on when pulled away). Also tested using a Proximity sensor app in the Play Store which verified it was working as expected.
The ROM comes with Camera Go, which from my testing has all functions working as expected.

Not sure my experience will be much help but after unlocking my bootloader via Mi Unlock, flashing TWRP and using the steps in this guide to flash the ROM (skipping the Gapps stage as this ROM has Gaaps included)

Cheers I'm already bootloader unlocked and running Pixel Experience, but I don't know if Elixer needs the MIUI vendor (or if that's even something we're supposed to worry about these days!)
OK! So after a lot more reading I installed MIUI then Elixir
I needed 'Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot', MiFlash and ADB .. I'm dumping my steps below, including going back to MIUI, in case anyone can use these in the future!
Xiaomi ADB & Fastboot
- allow debugging on phone
- go to fastboot tab in Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot (phone doesn't need to be in fastboot mode)
- Download latest ROM (EEA for me)
MiFlash
- move ROM to C:/ and extract (this stops any path errors)
- copy path to ROM "C:/romfolder" (this is the extracted folder with files like "flash_all.bat")
- edit "flash_all.bat" and remove all lines before 'fastboot' lines (be careful, this removes rollback check!)
- paste ROM path into MiFlash
- select "clean all" at the bottom
- Flash ROM
After 497 loong seconds, MiFlash says "error" .. panic a little..
Then notice device reboots into MIUI .. relax a little ..
On device
- go through the painful MIUI setup wizard ...
- settings > about phone > mash "MIUI Version"
- go to back > additional settings > developer options > OK the message
- enable USB debugging
ADB
- run 'adb devices'
- check device shown
- run 'adb reboot bootloader'
- device reboots to bootloader
- 'fastboot devices'
- check device shown
- run 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img' (make sure file/path is correct)
Turn off device
Reboot phone to recovery (power and volume up .. Pixel Experience recovery???)
- select factory reset
- format data
- select "apply update"
- "apply from ADB"
- flash ROM with 'adb sideload ProjectElixir_1.5_gauguin-12.0-20220308-1931-OFFICIAL.zip'
- go "factory reset"
- "format cache parition"

does stock recovery work for flashing? or should i use custom recovery if so which one? Moreover does safety net work?
Even in pixel experience recovery it won't flash maybe the build is broken.

I recently flash the 4.0 in orange fox it works. the build is smooth battery good. bugs are boot animation not whole black there is a white line in bottom and top side. the video cam works but when ever I use the device for long time and record video there is no audio maybe some bugs.

yes but you must flash orange fox recovery to flash 4.0 build going back to miui maybe use miui flash tools.

I just installed pixelplus (A-12) on my mojito.
There's an issue I've noticed, when I tried to record video it's not recording any sound (just video only)
And I know it's not a hardware problem.
Please someone help me with this.

Loving this rom and am using it daily on my 505FN. Thanks for that!
I've got three observations:
1. NFC is not working.
2. It feels like Bluetooth is randomly not seeing some devices..
3. Can't use wide angle on the back camera..

1. maybe wait for FN build
2. try the device in other phones. or wait longer.
3. use apps in play store
Found a couple of bugs:
1. Weird red screen border for less than a second, right after unlock
2. Lock screen uncentered
3. Bluetooth headphones don't work on any kind of call
4. Battery draining quite fast
So far that's it! I'm planning on using this as a daily driver, so I'll keep posting other bugs I find!

I am sorry to hear that red lines are not a bug but will dissapear on next update. Lock screen icon will be centred. and i need a log for Bluetooth bug.

Settings \ Storage is also unable to open.
Looks like it's unable to access internal storage.

Why do all AOSP based ROMs have issues with USB DAC's? (Android 12)
Found the solution for "Not Enough Storage Space" on my A50 SM-A505FN from above:
Reboot to TWRP recovery and go to Wipe
Select partitions to wipe: "System"
Push Button "Repair or change file system"
Push Button "Change File System" and select EXT4 and confirm
Do last step above again to go back to F2FS and confirm
Install "PixelExtended_a505fn-12.0-20220129-1357-UNOFFICIAL-FIX.zip" and reboot

Uninstall Magisk in Twrp
The update has reported it causes bootloop on several devices, supposedly there is a canary release that fixes it but i rather wait

Just flash this little file in your recovery and your problem will be solved. It will uninstall Magisk from you device.
Do not install Magisk as it generates that problem, leave it for a while. Same happened with my phone.

love you :3.... nice, hey one questions about roms in this device... everytime i install a rom, the phone takes me to recovery twrp... i dont know why..... i try using dfe, wiping all except system and vendor, instaling rom again and again until the system starts. is a mess, maybe you know what is the reason.
im having problems with the bluetooth, so i have to flash miui and then again the rom.

If it takes you to TWRP. check the recovery log when it reboots you to TWRP(the third button in the navigation bar)

idk if is a problem but i have twrp 3.6.0_11-1 ... but people are using 3.5.2.. i sthe same? i tried to flash 3.5.2 but is bootloop.
Edit: i found the new version of Twrp, and the dfe begonian from the same twrp developer... then i flash the rom, flash dfe and format data... Now is starting. i hope bluetoth and everything works normally...

Maybe you know about the multitasking from miui... i thought it is from security gamebooster, but is not... the smalls windows from the multitasking is the best thing from miui. how can i get it?

I think you are talking about floating windows and it's not implemented in this ROM. Unless the core devs add it there's no way of getting that to work.

Hey, I would like to try this rom but i can't flash it and don't know why.
First I came from another ROM (Android 12), I followed the guide in GitHub step by step but after I reboot to system it just reboots to recovery over and over so I tried to do it with the Stock Rom (MIUI 12.5 Global Android 11) but just keep happening the same. I don't know why, hope anyone can help me .
I have to say that TWRP shows this message after reboot to recovery:
"Android Rescue Party trigger! Possible solutions?
Either:
1. Wipe cache, and/or
2. Format data, and/or
3. Clean flash your ROM.
The reported problem is:
'--reason=init_user0_failed' "
Already did the 3 options so i don't know what to do now.

So I give it a shot and it's pretty good but I got a couple of issues .
Offline charging not working it keeps looping and eventually booting into system . Using magisk 25.1
Charging speed is really really slow sometimes and i checked different chargers and cables , it never reaches above 20w , it says charging rapidly but it's not full speed.

I've tried many famous rom, but always disappointed somehow, at least a little bit, So far this is the best one I've ever used, almost no bugs, except only one which is while clearing tasks sometimes It doesn't clear by one swipe, other than that, everything is perfect, best battery life rom I've tried and the best thermal profile, I don't game but I use my phone 17 hours a day, battery is always under 38°C, except for a few minutes..thanks
A few tips to get the best out of this rom according to my experience
1. Flash fast charging magisk module for poco x3 nfc, it works as the stock miui, usually get 100% done in 1h 20m, And obviously 50% in 30 mins.
2. Don't flash the 12.5.8 firmware it's literally ****, it even has a sound problem, i recommend the 12.5.7 firmware for the best performance, best battery performance and particularly the sounds issues, 12.5.7 is perfect.

Am I the only one who's experiencing overheating issues? My phones battery would never exceed 34C since I don't play heavy games or do heavy tasks but in this phone the LOWEST was 34 and it even surpassed to 45C when it was just IDLING. I've turned off the phone for 10 mins then it was okay-is but its still 36-40C, a lil disappointed by that :c Also lock screen clock option is not visible , the biggest reason why I've downloaded this ROM is bc of the clock customizations. Also I was charging my phone overnight and it never exceeded 8.6 Watts, might be bc it was overheating in a AC'ed room...

Nice ROM, thank you! I'll have a try
Yesterday I went from zephyrus A13/oos12fw back to oos11fw (without MSM tool) and flashed Elixir A13 on my oneplus8T without any problems. So far I haven't found any big problems. DT doesn't always work, but I've noticed this with other A13 builds as well. I'm looking forward to new builds of Elixir soon .

Some bugs i faced : fingerprint sensor on the AOD doesn't always works, even it shows "press firmly on sensor" but no light from reader comes to read finger.

Hello,I am currently using Project Elixir on my OnePlus 9R and I love it ....Till now it's one of the best ROM that I have personally used.
But I am facing some battery drainage issue and mainly the most important problem is that the " Usb Options " is not working for my OnePlus device ....It shows all the options when connected via USB with my pc but all the options is in grey can't select any of it no file transfer or anything else....
Plz help me fix this

Hello All,
I have been using this ROM for about a week and wanted to share some details on its performance and bugs.
Firstly, ROM is stable and good to go for daily use even though its in BETA. Performance is good, no massive frame drops noticed and overall pretty smooth. Battery life is a strong point as it seems to be performing better than the Android 12 based ROMS while using similar apps.
The Issues/ Bugs:
1. The quick settings tiles sometimes stop working, i.e if you enable/disable wifi or mobile data, it won't actually do anything and sometimes does not respond at all. A restart of the system UI fixes the issues. Happens occasionally but I do notice it once in 2-3 days.
2. The camera access privacy feature sometimes does not turn back on even though it shows as 'on' in the settings toggle and quick tiles but the camera fails to open without restart. This does not happen automatically but since I had enabled/ disabled few times so I noticed it.
Overall a very solid ROM, I hope the devs continue working on it and these small issues get ironed out.

I think it should work on both 8t and 9r. (Have not flashed it on my 8t though)
