Question Flashlight notification on lock screen - Google Pixel 6

So I guess I feel stupid but I've got a flashlight notification on my lock screen. Not sure how it got there and I cannot find how to get rid of it. Someone got a suggestion. Thanks

I've had the same bug and don't get why it's notifying me out of context. To solve it, I disabled the feature altogether. Long click the at a glance widget > Customize > click the gear icon beside "at a glance" > Turn off flashlight.

Thanks. Adding the "at a glance" widget to my home screen and following your instructions produced no flashlight option. I was at my wits end and then I disabled Nova launcher. That produced the "flashlight off" notification on my home screen also. Long pressing that took me to a different at a glance page where the flashlight option showed up.

Help hiding the VPN icon in Touchwiz

In stock Android previous to 5.0 the VPN icon appears as an annoying persistent key in the top left like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After 5.0 they moved it as a system icon to the right and it can be turned off or adjusted.
It looks like this:
It seems like in Touchwiz they never updated this and the key is still on the left. Even if you're using 5.1.1 (I assume 6.0 will be the same.)

2 Questions:
1) Without rooting, is there a way to remove or hide that icon?
2) Is there a way to file a bug or ticket with Samsung to let them know to fix this in the new Touchwiz? Or some other way of contacting them?
1) Long press on the notification and see if you can disable the notifications there.
2) ha Good luck with that.

It's "Android System"
Just have to live with it then.

Notification content privacy

All my notifications show their content without having to go into the app first. I've tried all sorts of settings but nothing seems to work. Please help.
The setting is buried deeper than King Arthurs sword, but what you'll want to do is search for "notification" in settings, tap on "Notifications Management" under Other, and then the menu in the top left will have lockscreen notification settings.

I have it working on the lock screen, I was referring to when you get a notification on the top status bar and you pull down, the content is there for all to see, complete emails etc.

I'm not sure that's possible, did you have a previous phone that could do that?

How to hide the "Full screen display" bar on EMUI 8

I'm writing this as a guide for my future self (and for the people who find nothing when searching).
If you're like me, you're happy with your Huawei experience (except for them nerfing the bootloader unlock thing), but one thing I hate is this bar.

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
When it shows up, I usually click it, then click OK, and the game or app I'm using becomes full-screen most of the time. It doesn't really bite me until I open an app like DuckTales Remastered, which doesn't work in full screen mode. This is when you notice that the bar can't be hidden or dismissed, and you will often touch it by accident, making the confirmation dialogue pause the app and break your immersion, or worse, the app restarts in full screen and you lose all your progress.
If you have this problem, download hide full screen by huawei by kaipochi, and open it. Permit it to draw over apps, and you will have a bar display over the full screen bar. You click the number to cycle through three sizes depending on your phone, you can click the bookmark to change the size settings and create shortcuts that open the app with the bar, and click the X to close it.
Hope this helps EMUI 8 users!

lock screen flashlight shortcut toggled by tap

This is too specific for googling,
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
If you go into settings > lock screen > shortcuts
and then place flashlight as one of the shortcuts (which I recommend by the way), and lets say, place camera on the other side..
For some reason, the flashlight is (also) toggled by tap rather then swipe like the other widgets.
(same thing for the Do Not Distrub mode)
This causing a lot of accident toggles from edge palm holding and I find my flashlight on by accident multiple times..
I couldn't find any way to change the way the flashlight is toggled, swipe is perfectly fast enough for me and secure enough to avoid accidental toggles.
Any idea how to solve this?
Thanks!
I had the same issue and after the last update, it went back to swipe.

Question no scrubber for spotify/youtube on oneplus 10t locksreen (android 12)

so pretty happy with my new 10t...only thing is that the Spotify playback doesn't have scrubber option on lock screen even when i swipe down on it...tried all notification settings but to no avail...anyone got any ideas why?
https://imgur.com/NAtffkw
also in the notification drawer, the spotify/youtube playback window is small and not expanding across as can be seen below:
https://imgur.com/a/GdabwA0
is there anyway to get it like this?

no one?
If I swipe down and expand out the quick settings I get the scrubber. This works both on the lock screen and any other screen. I have not changed any settings related to this, just works as default.
