Anyone had luck changing system emojis? - LG V60 ThinQ Questions & Answers

I've tried using emoji switcher, flashing with magisk and replacing NotoColorEmoji.ttf myself in solid explorer, with no luck. they show as the Google ones I want in my browser but not in Gboard and other apps. The LG ones are so ugly, please help me.

Merge super_*.img_* files
Hello everybody! Anybody knows how to merge these multiple {Mod edit} into one super.img file? I wanna obtain the LG Velvet's color emoji ttf file, and they're extracted from G90010s_0_user-signed-ARB0_COM1_EU_OP_1229.dz firmware file. Thanks in...

Thank you, that was it! Could've sworn I checked there already haha, hopefully the thread helps someone else too anyways. Interestingly I only had to delete rather than replace LGNotoColorEmoji.ttf and the "standard" one took over.

can't apply new theme on the latest firmware

Hi Guys,
there's a custom rom over here (CM 6.1.3 V4 out [Tweaked+Theme+Extras]). From this, i want to add the anims and drawable-hdpi images to the latest official Eclair (2.1) ROM. but no matter how i try, it bricks the phone.
does anyone have any idea?
i replace the files with winrar (don't extract it, just simply overwrite the files within winrar) then using x10 mod tool to move the modified framework-res.apk to the system/framework/ folder.
so any ideas would be lovley. and also, is there a way to check if it works on android sdk? i don't wanna keep restoring the phone all the time
thanks a lot!
not a single answer?
The images are not named the same across all roms so you'll have to look at each image and rename it to the corresponding one in the other drawable-hdpi folder. I don't know an easy way to do this, but I'd love to find one!

+1 on this too. I know you can set up a virtual x10-like device but I don't know if it can preview a theme or how...

well, i only overwrote those images that were existing in the framework-res.apk... but there were additional images, that were not existing in the custom rom's framework-res.apk...

[REQ] SJsecret LG Font apk port for S6

I recently discovered this font, SJsecret, its found on the LG Smart World store and apparently it can't be used / installed on other phone models.
I found an apk package of it and i even managed to install it, but it doesn't show up in the Fonts menu in Settings.
So, i thought that maybe someone has the time and ability to make a proper apk for this awesome font. I don't want a zip package, because i plan to use Samsung Pay and i don't want to root for the time being.
I will attach the apk that i found, maybe it can be of some use.
/le
Done it myself after much searching and investigating.
I saw that many people downloaded the original LG apk, but nobody stopped to say something about it...
Anyways, I will attach my custom apk for S6 here, hope someone will enjoy it as much as I do!
/lle
Re-attached the file. Enjoy!
Amazing! I have an LG phone but I have installed cyanogenmod 11. How can I install this font? Thank you
I don't know how Cyanogen manages custom fonts, if the original LG apk doesn't work, try asking in the thread of your rom.

Thanks for the reply! I have done it in a different way. I explain you how i managed Just in case someone needs it.
I have extract the original .ttf file from the LG apk (I have used winrar on my pc), then I have moved ttf file in my sdcard and apply this with an app from playstore (iFont).
Yep, that's a great shortcut. iFont app is a very powerful tool for managing custom fonts.

I'm pretty sure the reason why (at least for me) is that I'm trying to find a way to create a custom LG font package.
iFont app does support FlipFont (for Samsung devices) but LG doesn't seem to be using that system, neither the iFont "install mode". I wish iFont did have a "LG mode", but it doesn't.

Currently attempting this myself. I'm using an LG G6 that isn't rooted but I'd like to figure out the changes he made in order to enable it on the other phone so I downloaded both.
Not a lot of people have posted custom fonts and the LG World store is over saturated with versions of comic sans style fonts.

Hey man, could you reverse engineer the apk and make Google Product Sans font for official LG framework? (Like how sjsecret or JIOgougu fonts have apks which work for unrooted LG v20/v30/g6/g5). Would be a grand favor.
Sorry for irrelevance with Samsung s6 forum though.

[Q] Marshmallow bootanimation.zip

Simple question, is there someone who would be willing to pull and upload the official n9 bootanimation.zip for me? Located at /system/media/bootanimation.zip. I tried downloading the factory images and unpacking the system.img but keeps failing. Found a few other locations online that claim they are the proper res but I would rather not use someone elses files that might be potentially just upscaled or something. I do not own this device, otherwise I would just do this myself.
Thanks a bunch guys!

need help to create a font apk!!!

i want to install a font in my lg v10. already have a lg font apk file(from lg smartworld) that is installable and can be apply in the font settings. i have a separate .ttf font file and i created an apk file with the help of apk creator but after installing i can't see the installed font in font settings. and also i replaced the .ttf font file in the lg apk file with the one i have but still no success.
i think other than file replacement something have to do with other files also in the apk to install in system. i uploaded both the lg font apk and my separate .ttf files here. i'm requesting someone take the lg font apk format and build an apk with .ttf file replaced.

downloaded and tried to install but ended up with error. i think you did what i did before just replacing only the font file. no, this method does not work. lg uses something different method to use in their system. something we have to edit in the .dat and .xml files i think.

Fonts for Substratum

Hello,
I created this topic just to help out my dear friend Tytydraco, in this topic everyone can request/submit .ttf fonts. Make sure that if you upload a font it has to be .ttf so Tytydraco can add them to his Samsung System Mods font collection.
Check out Tytydraco's phenomenal Substratum topic:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/themes/mods-small-collection-tweaks-t3657118
How to request a font?
Send me a PM which font you would like to get added to Tytydraco's font collection.
How to submit a font?
Send me a PM with a link to the zipped archive and I will upload them to my Google Drive where Tytydraco can easily download them. Make sure that every single font has to be .ttf to make me them work with Substratum.
Please keep in mind that these font packs are not 100% perfect, there might be some fonts missing.
Here is my Google Drive font folder link for Tytydraco:
https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1taRyVyc7XLfYiHu8hislawmtVP2SvCUg
Fonts uploaded so far:
Gill Sans, Helvetica Neue, Oswald, OnePlus Slate, Roboto Condensed, Barlow, Dosis, Montserrat, Ubuntu, Raleway
Oh also remember to unzip all the fonts so its just the .ttf files in the folder. that way i can mass download them. Thanks for making this thread!

That's what I did when I downloaded the fonts, the zip archives uploaded to my Google Drive contains only .ttf files, nothing else. Before I upload anything I will double check everything.
And you're welcome my friend.

Ofc you can, but make sure that all of those fonts are .ttf and zip archive has only .ttf files nothing else.
I sent a PM to Tytydraco about custom installers for fonts, so maybe later in the future we might get custom installers for fonts.
I wish I had a laptop, I could make these installers.

Cool. Going to go zip some fonts now :good:
So a lifetime ago I maintained an xda thread and website where I posted flashable font packs for very old versions of android. I got up to over 300 or so. Anyway, when I posted each pack, I also posted the site I pulled the ttf from, but more importantly, I posted screenshots of what each font looked like on my phone.
Check op of this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=801160
Note I havent looked at any of that in years, so I don't know which fonts are still available, but it should be a pretty good resource.
