Hi guys. I was wondering how could I root my device, been trying on my own for days and couldnt get it done. Im on Android 10 and my version is SM-G9650. Ive never flashed any rom or recovery to it, what I could do was to unlock? the bootloader of my device by going to dev setting and activating OEM unlock. Thanks beforehand.
So you say you can't get root done but then at the end you claim to only have unlocked the bootloader. I'm presuming you've searched XDA for the numerous rooting guides available that provide step by step instructions? If your using a guide then you should be past the unlocking of the boot loader and there would be some step you are stuck on? Can you tell us that step?

Depends how you update. Just don't update with ota or pc companion.
1 Downgrade to 4.4.2
2 Root phone
3 Install recovery for locked bootloader
4 Flash rooted 4.4.4 zip in recovery
5 latest firmware and root remains
I am new to Sony devices (been a Samsung guy for years). I have had my Z2 less than a fortnight but already I'm itching to root it etc, problem is it seems a lot more complicated than Samsung devices. I was always switching between roms on my S4/note 2. I am on the latest firmware and would like to root it to be able to use xposed but I'm scared of messing it up and as the phone is under warranty don't want to end up with a paper weight.
Has anyone done a detailed tutorial for newbies like myself?
Thanks in advance
Scotty.

It's not really that hard and there are also of resources online that can guide you.
1 Downgrade to 4.4.2 is required as noone had found a vulnerability with 4.4.4.
2 Root phone
For step 1 and 2, Have a look at this http://www.xda-developers.com/android/how-to-root-the-sony-xperia-z2-xda-developer-tv/
3 install recovery for lock bootloader
Have a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785598
4 install a 4.4.4 zip through recovery. I recommend this one as its basically stock http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/development/stock-4-4-4-23-0-1-0-167-bug-free-t2929402

Root is already available, there is TOT which you need to flash but you must be downgrade it to V10m first otherwise root will fail. My brother is using same variant which I got rooted without any issue.

Hi guys, I'm on f600s 30c and I just factory reset due to consecutive dirty flash. Restoring almost all apps already when I found out enable oem unlock in developer option. Does this mean we can actually unlock using adb? I'm hesitant to try since I'll have to repeat my settings and installing all over again.
also searching for any method to root my bootlooping f600l on 7.0
I have been searching all over for actual root that works for ZTE K88 or AT&T Trek HD2. The only thing I've been able to do is unlock the the device or sim unlock. I've tried all one click roots, srs root, and what not. Can't find a Custom Recovery on TWRP or Clock..... Any suggestions besides tossing it lol.
I'd appreciate it too

Allright.
A Phone always comes with a locked bootloader so if you don't unlocked it yourself it is still locked.
To flash twrp you will need a unlocked bootloader and to unlock a bootloader you need rootacess.
I used the app rlashr to flash twrp and boot in recovery. Don't forget to type 'su' in a terminal before you use it (at the guide how to unlock a bootloader)
This guide tells you how to do everything:
(Follow these steps: root -> bootloader-> recovery(twrp))

Good luck!
