Question Need help, I think my phone's permanently bricked. - OnePlus 9R

I was trying to install the AOSP recovery, tried to boot into it and now my phone's stuck on a screen that says, "The current image(boot/recovery) have been destroyed and can not boot. Please flash the correct image or contact customer service to fix it."
The phone's been on this screen for hours now
Thing is, using volume - and the power button isn't letting me enter fastboot mode. The phone's not turning on or off, and using volume + and the power button momentarily turns it off, shows the OnePlus logo for a second then returns to the same (image have been destroyed......) screen.
The MSM tool isn't working either, my phone's not entering EDL mode.
What do I do now? Visit customer service?

The phone's under warranty, if that makes any difference.

Alright, never mind, problem solved. For posterity, here's what I did:
1) Pressed volume + and the power button
2) As soon as the screen went black, pressed both volume buttons for 40 seconds, and the phone entered EDL mode
The MSM tool worked, and my phone's booting as I'm typing this. feelsgoodman

Glad it worked out in the end.

Yeah the MSMDownloadTool has saved my phone from getting bricked many times.

Don't try to install custom rom or recovery in oos 12 it will cause Qualcomm dumpcrash mode and other problem

How does one work past that?
I updated to OOS12 via the custom updater, and then reverted back to OOS11. Then I flashed PE recovery and ended up in the crashdump state. Same with Nameless. Any clue?

Alright, so here's what I did:
1. Flashed OOS 11 using the MSM tool
2. Downloaded the latest OOS 11 build from OnePlus' website and performed a local upgrade
3. Downloaded the AOSP extended recovery from their SourceForge page, codename lemonkebab
This recovery worked for me, but I didn't try flashing other ROMs with it except AEX (the ROM the recovery was specifically made for)

do u have access to recovery?? if u have, then u can just flash previous build without wiping data..
Think if you press vol+ vol- and power and then use the button combo to boot into TWRP you will be fine, takes abit of messing to get it right.

Did you try this solution? Did it work? Did you lose your apps/data?
Solved
Eventually managed to get onto twrp using adb (it was a bit of a statistical process... Didn't always work)
From there I just flashed cm 14.1 again, and it looks OK now
Thanks you all for the help!
Like I said earlier failed flash by CMxx doesn't overwrite TWRP, you can boot back into recovery just have to try a few times. Happened to me pressing both volume buttons and power switched phone off then I used button combo and it booted into TWRP.
Might have to grab a usb cable and use ADB to boot into fastboot. It happened to me and that was the only way for me.

Bootloop and red LED in Kenzo.

Hello, everyone. I was using Lineage OS 14.1 with Nougat 7.1.2 on my Redmi Note 3. My fingerprint was not working for some time, so today I decided to return to MIUI. I downloaded the last dev version and installed it via TWRP (now I know it was a mistake). My phone is dead. It's not turning on, it just keeps in the "Mi" boot logo. It's not even entering in Recovery mode neither Fastboot mode. When I try to enter Recovery mode, the Mi logo appears for just a second and then dissapears. When I try to enter Fastboot mode and when I connect it to the charger, the red LED starts to blink, and it's not EDL because my PC doesn't recognize it. I have a backup that I made before flashing MIUI, but I can't enter recovery mode. Please help me. Thanks.
You can flash MIUI on ZCX Twrp but on standard Twrp you must also flash Lazy flasher zip file along with ROM zip but above solutions are only if you have unlocked bootloader officially .
Hold Vol+ Pwr key for sometime first MI logo appears keep holding the keys don't release second time device will vibrate and again show MI logo now release keys & report what happens so I can guide you from there

Go to edl mode and reflash miui

It does nothing. I managed to release keys just after the logo appears and it keeps stuck at the logo.
I have my bootloader officially unlocked, though. What can I do?

How can I go to edl mode?
try to connect to pc by holding volume down you should be in fastboot mode
See for post in the guides section"INSTALL ZCX TWRP AND UNLOCK BOOTLAODER WITHOUT DATA LOSS KENZO"
this method will help you as I have also faced issue like you and recovered easily by this method in few minutes.
I had the same issue when I upgraded from CM13 to LOS14.1 a week ago. Did you unlock bootloader officially? If you did, just unlock bootloader oficially again and your phone should be working

Hello. I have the bootloader oficially unlocked. I managed to put the phone into fastboot mode, but my pc does not recognize. I think the charging port is damaged. I ordered it via Aliexpress. I will try this when it arrives.

Redmi 3 Pro stuck/bootloop hopeless

R3 Pro (3GB/32GB, 2015817 version) came with some chinese/sellers custom ROM (and locked bootloader). It was heavy and bloated, so I decided to update it. Tried latest global stable (fastboot) ROM via miflash, flash was successful but that's was a lie - it stuck on mi logo...
Then I tried various other ROMs, global and developers, latest and older, some xiaomi.eu, manhit, etc. (for locked bootloader) and all I've got was either just a mi logo or mi logo with "powered by android" animation beneth. I left it for hours after flash and still nothing.
Then I found some ways to flash twrp, did that successfully, booted into it, wonder around in terminal and file manager, tried some recovery ROMs - but the result is the same - just logo or logo + animation.
I can get into fastboot (but it doesn't realy matters since bootloader is locked), download (EDL) mode, that Xiaomi menu (with Power and Vol+, with "shortcuts" to all the modes, hardware tests - btw. everything works there, etc.), twrp, charge battery (with some ROMs phone just gets warm and I know it's charging, there are no LED and/or animation, but in some everything works just like it should), but just can't boot into OS.
And I'm going nuts!
Here are some logs from the last ROM (i don't even know anymore which one is it) - pastebin.com/qaKVzxue and pastebin.com/dM3nEVj0
I'm not so experienced in looking at that but seems like every other thing in there, like cpu, i2c (touch/sensor), sound, battery, etc. is broken/faulty which is not true - everything was fine before update, and everything IS still fine according to inbuilt (xiaomi) hardware tests.
So somehow it seems that all the ido ROMs I tried are wrong for this device? Or am I missing something (quite possibly, I'm tired and pissed off)
Last night I did a backup of efs/nvram and then wiped internal memory/partitions, flashed latest global ROM, restored efs/nvram - phone stuck, but this time not on MI logo but freakin' penguin logo (like here en.miui.com/thread-377870-1-1.html). Same logo is for fastboot mode, no more bunny. Then flashed twrp and phone now shows mi logo with "powered by android" animation beneath, like before...
I don't know how this works with Xiaomi phones, but looks like it worked with some factory/seller special combination of ROM and bootloader. Then I did update and something stuck, maybe differences between ROM and bootloader, or some inside/hidden security mechanism that stops boot process? And because I can't find original firmware and/or bootloader is locked (maybe even updated?) it's now stuck...
Either that or some HW fault, but it would be insane that official ROM update with official tools and in factory download mode with full battery can cause such problem!
Can you go to twrp recovery?
Yes, like I said in the first post. I can do anything but boot android/MIUI. It's either because of locked bootloader or somehow official ROM installed officialy (via MiFlash in EDL mode) bricked phone, which is catastrophic bug i.e. epic design/implementation fail by Xiaomi.
Try this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-3/help/bootloop-bootloader-locked-options-t3331139
Sorry to intrude, I have pretty much the same problem.
Phone is stuck in bootloop and I can only access fastboot mode and EDL mode (but in EDL the phone does not connect to pc) and when I try to flash a stock ROM (since I know it is a software issue due to an unfortunate update) it says "locked device". So I tried to unlock it via MiUnlock... but phone cannot be verified 'cause "account not bound to this device" and obviously I cannot change any options since I cannot use my phone.
Please, help
it was happened to me about 3 days ago when i play around with the twrp & rooting thingy... tried everything from youtube to various forum solutions... just one link really works when you only have fastboot options and your phone bootloader is still unlocked. just follow the steps in the OP... key things here is downloading the tool to read your phone as mentioned in the OP i.e [TOOL]Minimal ADB and Fastboot [1-6-17]
1) Download Tool -> https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
2) Follow all the steps in the OP -> http://en.miui.com/thread-277276-1-1.html
3) Enjoy your phone from back from the dead.. LOL!
4) Remember here, the key is NEVER GIVE UP and PATIENT!
NOTE : The Device will start, wait till completion , it can take up to 10 Minutes. -> for me around 15-20 minutes for I have flashed the current beta rom of MIUI8 7.6.8
cheers, guys!
blx-
I had a similar situation.
Officially unlocked boot loader. Flashed TWRP using fastboot. Only got the mi logo and a boot loop on start up.
Could not turn on. Could not boot into TWRP.
When the phone was boot looping I could still get into fastboot mode by holding power+volume down.
I booted from fastboot mode into TWRP by opening the command prompts and using
"fastboot boot twrp2.img"
That got the phone available from windows explorer. I was able to move a new ROM image to the SD card and install from TWRP.
Currently running lineage 14.1 -20190112.
I lost a bunch of **** but my phone seems to turn on for the moment.
Note, I still cannot boot into TWRP using the phone only. I can only boot in from fast boot as above.

Problem with Fastboot(trying to return to Stock MIUI from OOS beta 11

Hello everyone.
I'm currently using OP6-O2_beta_21 on my phone and i want to go back to stock rom.
I did the usual steps
1- shutdown phone
2- put phone on fastboot
3- connect to pc using the original cable(tried different ports usb 2 and also 3)
4- Open Xiaomi Mi Flash(using 2017.4.25.0)
5- When i click the REFRESH button on MiFlash my phone just "quit" the fastboot screen and a small text appears on the phone :
TAP KEY TO SHUTDOWN.
I tried a lot of times on my desktop and my notebook and it did not worked.
After I tried going to TWRP to flash a custom rom but after I did the wipes/factory reset and rebooted the phone on TWRP now the Touch do not work on TWRP( when i boot the phone again on OOS the touch works)
Now after this reset my OOS is really bugged and i can't even login on play store
Anyone can help?

Touch screen completely stopped working after boot twrp

Hello friends. Yesterday evening I was going to flash my phone to stock rom. I opened twrp and the touch problem that I had encountered again. I reset the program again and again by holding down the power button, but it has not been worked. then my phone remained open in twrp. This morning I flashed my phone miui beta on miflash. (Android 8.1 9.6.24) The phone is switched on, but the touch issue still not working. If you could help with this situation, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Maybe its a hardware issue. If the phone's in warranty go to the service center and tell them that touch isn't working.
USE THIS VERSION OF TWRP
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80122987&postcount=305
either boot it up via fastboot command or flash this one and go to twrp by power+vol button press
this has modified touch drivers
