Yeah, I own the 12 GB RAM model and often I consume all the available memory. Can you elaborate on improve background management? Kill more applications proactively?
We are looking to having android 12 urgently as we are testing android 13 on our pixel 6pro, not happy with software support from OPPO
maybe oppo is waiting for Android 12L to be released ? (for foldable devices)
I am sure they will rollout Android 12 soon as our device is the premium flagship for Oppo.

Yup that make sense
Just got PEUMoo_11_A.16... Still Android 11...
This bites as there are features that are available on Android 12 that WON'T work on Android 11...
Thought this was a flagship device...
I know that they're waiting for the version of Android that supports foldables but why haven't they upgraded us to 12 now.? Just as easy to update from 12 as 11...

With our locked bootloader we wont be able to run ics just yet. Ace and mastafunk are working on 2nd init which may help out in that department and will lead to cm and miui. In the meantime overmind has a great ics theme that can be flashed over most of the major x2 roms.

That wasn't finished when that was posted... at that point that's really all you could do. And really that's all you can do atm. Though I'm sure one of the many talented dev. Will get something ported over soon.

I'm just wondering when would be Sony be rolling out their last Gingerbread update which would be 2.3.7. I've seen new UI on their new smartphones at CES 2012, and they're running 2.3.7 which of course as for demo purposes only.
Anyone knows these information? The New UI seems to have a nice wallpaper and new icons, I know that's not ICS and I'm 100% sure with that. Lol.
Doubt they'll release anything gingerbread to older phones what with ics release being so close and all.
Better go for custom ROMs of 2.3.7 rather than official version
i'm still virgin on 2.3.4....haha
Why want 2.3.7 when you gonna be getting ICS \m/
2.3.7 gives nothing interesting compared to 2.3.4.
See this.
no but this does:

Camera software enhancements
Improved battery efficiency

Agreed. Hate to bump, but had to point out: even if SE did give a 2.3.7 update (I don't think that's likely, but it is possible), there's no way in hell they'll include a UI overhaul before ICS.
The SE UI is independent of the underlying Android one (as in, the SE launcher, Music application etc.) and there's no way they'd complicate things by updating the SEUI once in 2.3.7, and then have another one changing the underlying Android a few months after. It would be way too confusing, also it would mean their new UI would have to be fully prepared and debugged for both 2.3.7 and ICS.
There's a reason you only saw a demonstration of that UI on a phone: it's not ready for release, and it won't be, because 2.3.7 is old news.
You get new ion or s n you will get that version stay with neo arc you will get ics

1,2,3,4,7,10,11,12 will be great still not sure any of these will ever happen ,this phone really need some good equalizer for media player. No offense Sony but specially sound quality with headset(not to mention bundled crap headset :/) is simply awful :/
btw Sony said that they gonna stick with the current kernel right ?
Ive trawled the internet and i cant find a page that shows me the actual difference between the two versions of Androi so i dont know whether it is worth upgrading.
Can someone post them for me
Look harder, there are plenty of reviews. Main points:
- different edge screen
- the new doze mode
- the new apps standby mode
- better ram management
- new and improved per app permissions
- some changes to the dnd/silent modes (you can automatically switch to silent while you have a meeting in your calendar)
- design changes in the notification area
And there are others. So yes, it definitely worth upgrading

Hey , did anyone install Android 12 (beta) for OnePlus Nord 2 given from "Oxygen Updater" apk ? It can be download full zip package and kudos for that the rollback Android 11 zip package (A19 vs) only for Indian version .
Name is OOS12 Open Beta 1 , not suitable for Pac-Man Edition .
Nope. I have the EU version Nord 2 and so I'm not going to mess with it. But I would have downloaded it in a hearbeat had they released it for the EU model.
Ok , me as well .
But here are some features we can expect :
OOS12 Open Beta 1 changelog (Nord 2)
System
Newly added Smart Battery Engine, a feature that prolongs battery life based on smart algorithms and biomimetic self-restoration technology
Optimized AI System Booster to 2.1 for your system to run smoothly even when the load is high
Optimized desktop icons with improved textures, by using a design inspired by brand-new materials and uniting lights and layers
Optimized Extra HD, a feature that can significantly enhance image and video resolutions
Dark mode
Dark mode now supports three adjustable levels, bringing a more personalized and comfortable user experience
Shelf
New additional style options for Cards, making data contents more visual and easier to read
Newly added access to OnePlus Scout in Shelf, allowing you to search multiple contents on your phone, including Apps, Settings, Media Data, etc
Newly added OnePlus Watch Card in Shelf, to easily glance at your health status
Work-Life Balance
Work-Life Balance feature is now available to all users, allowing you to effortlessly switch between Work and Life mode via quick settings
WLB 2.0 now supports automatic Work/Life mode switching, based on specific locations, Wi-Fi network, and time, also bringing customized App notification profiles according to the personalization
Gallery
Gallery now allows you to switch between different layouts with a two-finger pinch gesture, intelligently recognizing the best-quality pictures, and cropping the thumbnail based on the content, making the gallery layout more pleasing
Canvas AOD
Canvas AOD brings you new diverse styles of lines and colors, for a more personalized lock screen experience with inspiring visuals
Optimized software algorithm and improved face recognition to better identify the features and skin color of different figures
Games
Newly added the HyperBoost end-to-end frame rate stabilizer
There are also known issues in this build, which we have reproduced below for your convenience:
You might be unable to use Face Unlock in the dark after turning on Brighten screen in dim light through Settings.
Fortnite will crash when playing the game.
Additionally, OnePlus warns that "some features of the Pac-Man edition may disappear after upgrading this build", so you shouldn't install this beta if you own a Pac-Man edition Nord 2.
Although you may be hyped by OxygenOS 12 now being available for your device, do remember that this is beta software (as proven by known issues list) and that as such, you accept any risks by installing this update. Furthermore, you're expected to report bugs to OnePlus directly via community app. Do also mind that switching back to stable OxygenOS 11 at any point will require a full data wipe, so don't get excited and jump into OB1 without considering all its pros and cons.
The Nord 2 was released only in EU & India. Note that there's no link for EU yet. If you don't want to wait, you can crossflash to India from the app itself (just select the "India" device). However, we advise patience. We will update this article if OnePlus posts links for EU.
So another piece of **** software upgrade with general Android 12 additions. What a huge disappointment. They probably have the Indian version first because they've hired 1 Indian to make it compatible. As soon as I get a quiet moment, I'll probably custom ROM it and swap it out for a different brand before I install the beta garbage.
"There are also known issues in this build, which we have reproduced below for your convenience", For our convenience... great laughs were had.
Does anybody here have any hope at all for this phone in the coming future? Especially because the Nord 3 is already spotted **shakes my head**
Hi Members
I purchased a Tab A7 Lite, didn't realise just how much lag this tablet suffers.
I did removed unnecessary apps, and did the ADB mod process to turn Ram plus off.
I haven't removed any Bixby or Sam's Free apps Vis ADB
Is their a magic bullet to resolve the laggy, stutter? it's most noticeable when swiping through the OS or One UI launcher on the device.
Has anyone found a solution maybe a lighter Launcher or custom ROM for the A7 Lite.
Failing any solutions, maybe a member knows of an 8 inch Android tablet that has good performance for £200 to £300.
Help is appreciated from members.

Try turning on Reduce transparency and blur in Visual Enhancement
One more thing ...
I found if we go to settings > display > screen zoom and increase the zoom level, it will make this tablet more smooth.
I feel it is acceptable. But I will try to install some custom rooms soon.
I am using A12.
Thanks you to both members, I've done as you have advised, I'll see if there's a marked noticeable improvement over all, and post back if it's a positive improvement to my A7 Lite's performance.
I'll keep my eye on the A7 Lite's forum posts, as custom ROM's start to get created and installed.
Regards to you both
Just one quick mention, I also turn on the 'Reduce Animation effects' switch in Visual Enhancements, I think that's also help...
Normally it's inadvisable to clear RAM on Android devices but clearing RAM worked for me on this device. Every so often when I encountered stutter after turning off RAMPlus I had to clear the RAM. Eventually the system adjusted to having a smaller RAM space and I no longer had to do this.
Degoogle tab mostly and samsung bloatware including account.
Try A7cleanup.sh for easy setup
If the device is unlocked and rooted SM-T220 wifi only and using Android 12 stock or gsi customAP based on a12 try this kernel I have compiled for mine :
* Features :
- Android 12 Only Supported.
- Permissive kernel.
(ViperFx sound mod can be installed)
- Wireguard Enabled.
- DragonRise Generic Gamepad Enabled.
- Hard Optimized Compiler Cflags Used.
- Audit and Dynamic debuging disabled via kernel command line.
- Used Recent Toolchain.
( clang 14 + gnu binutils 2.40 )
How to install :
Install Smartpack Kernel Manager And Backup current running kernel
Then flash the boot img attached .
Share your results.
I'm sharing it because my device works much better reduced lags and much more but here is the disclaimer I'm not responsible for any bricked device .
