Hi,
I made a backup of my phone contacts using Kies. I saved the contacts.spb file to my PC but I am unable to load them back to my phone. I have tried these steps but no luck:
Method 1
1. connected the phone to PC
2. Opened Samsung Kies
3. Opened the contacts.spb file from PC
4. "Transfer to Device" option in Kies is disabled.
Method 2(without using Kies)
1. connected my phone to PC
2. browse the contacts.spb file in my PC
3. saved it in the main folder of my phone.
I didn't find anything by searching, maybe because I'm the only one who doesn't know how to reload the contacts back to my phone
Appreciate any help!

does Kies see your phone ??
You can try copy file to external sd card and see if it can be found via contacts import .

ive got the same problem and looking at having to go back to stock just to get that .spb file and starting all over again,
Kies will see the phone but say
'cannont start service on device. please disconect then reconect the device.'
and with usb debugging turned on
'reconect the device in samsung (pc studio ) mode. current mode not suported by Kies.'
and if you put the contacts.spb on the memory card and try import into contacts you get
'scanning sd card failed (reason no vcard files found on sd card)'
any other options before i have to start flashing again?
You need to restore the contacts in KIES. You can't just transfer the spb file.
Personally I prefer to backup in VCF. Just go to the contacts app, then hit menu, import/export and export to the SD card. It gives you the VCF file which you can then import back through the contacts app. Much safer since VCF is an common standard format. You can even import the SGSII's VCF file into an iPhone4 and it works fine.
thx sleepy thats just what ive done
I need an app which allow me to sync a folder on my Android phone with my PC. I'm studying online and I've to download pdf notes. Sometimes, I download the notes from my phone and want to read it on my PC. I'd tried Google Drive and Dropbox but there's no function where I can sync folder on my phone. I have to manually upload my notes, which is annoying.
Anyone knows any app?
What I want is:
Download my notes to my phone > store in a folder on my phone > this folder is automatically synced with my PC > I can view this folder on my PC

Check out GammaSync
I developed a free Android app for PC-to-Android folder synchronization, which does not require external cloud storage. It currently supports only one-way synchronization of folders from PC to Android, but I plan to add two-way synchronization soon. Check out GammaSync on the Play Store, maybe you'll find it useful for some other uses

Please excuse my ignorance here but I just received my new Stratos last week and wanted to load some new watchfaces. When I tried to drag the downloaded files to the watchface folder on the watch, it's locked and won't allow me to do so...what am I missing? Thanks in advance for any help.
What computer are you using? You need the proper MTP drivers installed fi you are running Win, or Android File Transfer for Mac. You simply connect the watch, it will mount as MTP and you can copy the files. If you have problems, try another USB port, cable or computer. As last resource, unpair and pair watch again (it will erase all data on watch).
Hi
My android phone can connect to a wifi of my company, and the wifi certificate is installed by an app provided by my company.
I want to export the certificate and import it into my PC. I have checked files in /data/misc/keystore/user_0/, there are three files 1010_CACERT_xxxx, 1010_USRCERT_xxxx and 1010_USRPKEY_xxxx. But I don't know how to convert them into the format which can be read by PC.
My phone is android 9, and I also have an android 7.1 tablet.
My USB cable no longer works for data transfers and Android File Transfer. How do I easily transfer files from my PC/Mac to the Amazfit watch please?
I'm running an Everest ROM on my Pace. Thanks!
I found an answer in this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/amazfit/guide-wireless-file-transfer-pace-t3836705
