[Q][SXP] Push notifications not functional

Hi. I seem to have a more protracted problem with push notifications on my phone.
I use more apps (Twitter client, Tapatalk, Avast Anti-theft client, Notepad push agent, and some others) that claim to support push events. But if I send test push event to any of them, nothing happens. Either the event is not triggered at all until I invoke manual sync in that app, or the event arrives with considerable delay (hours or so). The only app that seems receive push events promptly is [email protected] mail.
However all of the nonworking apps look paired with their service online account or to Google account properly (some of them I have Greenified but Greenify shows that they could be awaken from hibernation using the experimental feature) - even apps that aren't greenified (Tapatalk, NEPush) don't notice new events.
Further, when I tried send test command to Avast Antitheft, the web UI said something about Google Cloud Messaging error (may be related to the problem).
Also phone seems to be logged in to Google account properly, sync with GMail is enablled..Global synchronizations in background are ON, Background data are ON ad of course mobile data are ON too.
Google Services Framework is version 4.0.4-430453
Google Play Services is ver 4.2.42
Google Account Manager is ver 4.0.4-430453
all are enabled
I have frozen Google Calendar Sync, Gogle Contacts Sync, Google Mail and Google Search but I assume these don't affect PUSH receiving.
I use rooted phone with custom kernel, UBL and stock firmware if it matters but I suppose it's not affecting my issue.
Any advices that could help bypass this annoying malfunction would be appreciated!

Google Services Framework missing or google account not configured (PUSH problem)

Hello,
I observe this problem already longer time, push notifications are not delivered to my phone in time. I see this on many applications using Google push notifications. The push events only deliver on regularly scheduled synchronization events (ie. actively requested by phone)
Today I'm trying to bind Pushover application (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.superblock.pushover) to my online account. After filling in the ligin details it popups message
Error
Your device doesnot appear to have a Google account configured, which is required for receiving push notifications, or the Google Services Framework is not functioning properly.
I have google account set up (Settings -> Accounts and synchronization (ON) -> Google account email -> all checkboxes are ON)
Google Services Framework version 4.0.4-430453 (com.google.android.gsf) is present in my phone as system application, not frozen
I need some clues what's wrong

[Q] Log into Hangouts without adding the account to the full sync

Hi,
I have a personal Google account which I sign into my Nexus 5 with and that all works fine.
I also have a work Google Apps account which I would like to log into Hangouts with but do not want to add it like a normal account (i.e. Settings > Add Account etc).
The reason is that if I sign in to my work account it requires that I download a device policy which then restricts how I use my phone (i.e. does not allow lock widgets, rooting etc).
I have found workarounds for email and calendar where I have third-party apps that let me sign in from a web-based google login page and then grant access.
So I am after, either, a way to log into Hangouts app without adding a base account, or a third party app maybe that would allow me to log in like the email / calendar clients I have.
Any suggestions for this would be appreciated.

[Q] Limited Account Sync?

Does anyone have a good how-to on setting up limited account sync on a secondary device?
I'd like to share my Google Music library with my wife, but she doesn't need (or want) access to my Gmail, G+, etc.
As near I can tell, providing access to Google Sync automatically provides access to ALL Google services at once. I can manually disable them, but there's nothing to prevent the services being re-enabled without re-prompting for a password.

Droidwall/Afwall configuration to allow only google contacts sync?

I'm a student and I have to use very limited data packs. I use afwall to allow only select apps to use mobile data.
As google services use up a lot of megabytes I have them restricted.
Is there any way that I can allow just contacts sync and block the other google bandwidth eaters?
